Narola Infotech was hired on to work through and help establish initial API requirements as well as review and designate key deliverables for a tight development schedule in regards to documented functionality necessary for the mobile app to be an effective application. Based on that information, a full development scope was created and work started on the mobile app. At first the concept was laid out through a series of graphical interface design templates which were delivered, discussed, revised and ultimately finalized. 
Work then began on the core elements of the application based on previously established scope. Development began requiring a close knit engagement between Narola developers and our development team and project manager. Over the next several months core mobile app functionality was developed and required ongoing testing. Our team prepared and provided access to a sandbox testing environment to let Narola developers and QA team to manage the live nature of the backend functionality that interfaced with the app. 
The app was successfully completed in time prior to the start of our winter season, and performed exceptionally well. As issues came up during the season Narola was available to quickly correct and assess certain failure points in app workflows and or backend hang ups. We were extremely satisfied with the work that Narola did on the app, so much so that we re-signed for next seasons expansion. The work on the expansion went well, and the application was considerably improved with additional functionality on both our backend and the mobile app.

The project manager is easy to communicate with and provides frequent updates. We have both in-person and phone calls but most of the feedback is through slack and emails. Everything is usually delievered and handed on time and recieved with ample warning if timeline isn't met.

I’m a project manager for an innovative devices company. We create devices, websites, and mobile applications for companies from many industries, including automotive and gastronomic.

I was looking for a business partner to help us design and develop Android and iOS mobile applications according to our client’s requirements. Our priority was to find a partner who could provide multiple development solutions and work on various projects simultaneously.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked on several mobile application projects with Narola. They’ve helped us with everything from creating registered end user logins to pairing devices to mobile applications via Bluetooth. They’ve also helped us link our external devices to each other and with other devices not created by us. We’ve maintained the same process for each of our projects. 

We typically start by sending them preliminary documentation, which they review and develop into specific requirements. Then, they estimate all the features of the application, and we meet to discuss the project budget. After outlining the budget, they create mock-ups for the application, which we review to ensure they match our initial specifications. Then, they develop the apps using Copley for Android and Swift for iOS. We host all our projects on our servers, but Narola continues to support us with maintenance after developing an application.

For one of our projects, we created an eco-friendly home-management device that enables users to connect their appliances to a dedicated mobile application. Although we’re still in the testing phase, our goal is for customers to use the device to control their power consumption better. 

The Narola team helped us pair our external device with the mobile application they created from scratch for iOS and Android. They also made specific plans to define how external devices would work in tandem with the app based on the parameters we gathered. Additionally, they created functionality for users to set time limits on their home appliances. For example, users can program the device to turn off their air conditioning for two hours daily. 

Currently, we have 3–4 applications in the development stage with Narola, including one for our automotive client. They’ve created a mobile application that pairs with a device that gathers car data. The app acts as a transmitter between the device and the server and displays charts based on the collected data.

During the development phase, Narola Infotech Solutions sent daily updates via Slack and Skype. We also had weekly catch-ups to discuss ongoing development and testing and the platform's performance. Narola Infotech Solutions' good communication surprised me because I had communication issues with other outsourced vendors I'd worked with.

We initially asked Narola Infotech to improve our app. They’ve worked on our mobile application for iOS and Android. It’s for users all over the world who want to travel by ATV. The app includes places of interest, and users can see other people on the map to connect through it. They’ve also worked on the app’s UX/UI design.

About 10 people have worked on this project, including a Google specialist, an iOS specialist, a backend developer, and UX/UI designers.

We searched online. We first tried 2–3 other companies and finally found Narola Infotech. Other companies told us that it was easier to start the development process from scratch, not from the middle. Naraola Infotech could do this for us.

We’ve spent about $15,000 so far.

We started working with them in January 2020 and are still collaborating.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality is excellent, and we’re very happy with the app. The rating is close to four stars in both app stores. Some users have had a problem registering, but sometimes that’s due to the user not being able to receive the activation code in their email, as it might end up in their spam folder. However, most users really like the app and have given it a four or five-star rating.

How did Narola Infotech Solutions LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve delivered the product on time and within our budget. All of our communication has been through freelance.com.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Working with them has been very pleasant; we’ve really enjoyed the collaboration. They’re true professionals with a lot of experience. It has been easy to work with them. We’re not good at English or programming, but they understand us when we ask questions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t remember any issues that need attention. We’ve had some minor misunderstandings, but I can’t advise them on what they need to work on.
