Design and creation of App idea into a well defined primary goal. Using that goal to ensure that our Project Phase One addressed the objective. The design process included step by step walking through the pages, design of pages and the user flow and experience. Communication was always top-notch and our team has really done a phenominal job. 

The working wireframe really assisted in getting the feel and user experience. The design process was truly an amazing process which involved several meeting with the communication being key. We are looking solid as we are now in full development and cannot wait for the finished Phase I of this project. Emphazing this is IMPORTANT because the Naked Team really sets the bar high for its competitors in the field.

The main goal of our time with naked was to get a full app design from them that we could than go on and develop it with software engineers. They did not provide anything close to that and we were left without any resources to continue our project. 

Basically, they used agressive sales and marketing tactics to show that they were willing to meet our needs and expectations. Throughout the design process we noticed that we were not getting the progress we wanted and every milestone was underwhelming. Communicating with the team was very challanging and frusterating

They were very good at coming to each meeting prepared and with an agenda. This was helpful but at the same time a set back. We were not able to work with them on the most collaborative level because of how they were tied down by the "process" or what "leadership can do". 

Often times we felt that they heard our concerns and chose not to act on them because it is easiest for them. They truly are not equipped to meet the needs of a start up and not the best choice for a passionate entrepnuer. Which completely surpised us as they highlighted their capability to meet our needs during the sale

The office is great and the discovery day was super helpful. We learned alot about how people desiging apps think and it was a good experience. we were very excited after that

Are there any areas for improvement or something Naked Development could have done differently?

After the awesome discovery day, everything seemed to change. The engagement from the team fell off and the collaboration between us and naked completely vanished. They have a process and they will not work with you to get you what you need.

If you dont read the fine print in their contract you will be dissapointed. They do not actually deliver a full app design and will do absolutely nothing to help you grow your business which is their main selling point.

The leadership was very disrespectful and unwilling to work with us or hear our concerns. The founders university is not helpful nor collaborative. There are no other founders in the circle that you will be introduced to.

The marketing about the help for founders and the network they provide is simply a lie. Unfortunately they are just a regular design and dev shop. They have very high prices and i recommend searching for another company - not because of the design they provide but the treatment and manipulation you will recieve from the ceo John and the rest of leadership

I chose to work with Naked to help me fine-tune and turn my app vision into a functioning click-through interface mockup.  They were to provide me 5 high fidelity click-through design options along with a 40+ page Figma wireframe. There was supposed to be an assigned lead designer, a project manager and progress meetings throughout the 6 week program. After the 6 week program, I was to be provided all deliverables, including their development scope documentation which broke down everything I needed to know about moving forward with taking my app from design to development seamlessly.

Scattered and scrambling. At my first meeting, I was introduced to a group of employees who all seemed to be invested and ready to work on my project. By the next meeting, there was a significant drop-off, and by the third meeting, I was assigned a new design lead (who was completely unfamiliar with my product or the scope of the project), and half way through I was introduced to a different project manager. Items were not delivered on time, because most of the changes were lost in the design lead transition so week 4 turned into week 5 and so on. The development scope document was never delivered, the one deliverable that they deemed the holy grail of the entire project. It took me emailing them months later asking if it would ever be sent to me, which miraculously it was sent over the next day...so did they have it that whole time but never sent it, or did they scramble to put it together overnight? 

Before the design meetings, I provided my brand guidelines, colors, fonts etc etc, for their team to follow and keep in mind while setting up the screen mockup. To my surprise...they completely rebranded my company and gave me new designs and layouts that were so out of left field I was shocked. I reiterated my need for everything to be on brand and once again provided the brand elements to follow. Next design meeting - wouldn't you know...NEW design, not on brand, now we are in the right field. Where is the drop-off? The fact that they changed design leads. It was an absolute mess. It felt like no one was listening to what I was asking for. Finally, I was given some resemblance of the direction I wanted to go in. At this point it was too late, we were already 2 weeks behind on our scheduled meetings and I didn't have the fight in me to keep giving pushback because it was clear that no matter what I said, nothing was going to change. I voiced my concern that it felt like the graphics I was provided came straight from a low-budget fiverr artist, and I'm truly not convinced that they weren't. 

I really TRULY wanted to love working with this team. The project managers were so nice, and the introduction meeting was very welcoming. I cannot express enough the massive dropoff that happened once the initial meeting with Naked Development was over. As a side note, with about 2 weeks left of the design program, they tried selling me on their development program, which was an astronomical price for marketing and development. 

I felt this was very bold of them to do considering how poorly the design program had gone. When I expressed that I was not going to make any development decisions just yet, it was like I no longer existed. It felt like since I didn't commit to developing the app with them, my project held no significance to them.

They used a variaty of means for project managment. Almost all communication for deliverables was done via email and followed by virtual or in person meetings. They have been very responsive to anyhting I have asked of the team.

They were one of the few that could deliver on what I needed. App development, design, and marketing. I chose them as they ofered to not just develop my app but to also help me witht he business side of things.
