I’m the founder and executive director of Build and Learn, Inc., a nonprofit organization that assists with affordable housing and job training. We focus on training individuals in the construction industry who didn’t finish high school and can’t get into a trade school or community college. Our organization also provides home repairs for veterans and disadvantaged citizens.

What challenge were you trying to address with Muletown Digital?

I was having problems with my website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Muletown Digital has been reconstructing my website. I’ve provided the information and ideas I want them to use, and they’ve formulated my ideas into a format and design that matches what I’m telling them. They haven’t tried to copy the old website; I’ve wanted new ideas, and they’ve provided that for me. In a nutshell, they've redesigned my website based on what I’ve told them.

Additionally, they've incorporated several newspaper articles into the website, which provide good reference points, and are using WordPress to build the site. Their team also offers maintenance services. They provide a monthly tune-up and update, and send out a monthly report, asking if I have any questions, want to change anything, or have any concerns.

What is the team composition?

I’m in contact with Adam and two of his assistants, who are primarily in charge of graphics and the technical aspects of the project.

How did you come to work with Muletown Digital?

I was searching for a company to help with my website and happened to call Muletown Digital. I liked their approach to solving my problem. They were very interested in reconstructing my website as I wanted it done. They weren’t trying to force their ideas on me; they were focused on getting my image and ideas displayed on the website.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in May 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Every person who views my website always has positive things to say. They always complement the website, saying how easy it is to navigate and how professional it is overall.

How did Muletown Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Muletown Digital always meets the deadlines and is always available when I call. We communicate via email and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Muletown Digital’s professionalism, courtesy, and availability are impressive. They’re willing to do what I want instead of trying to lead me. They're also more interested in satisfying what I want to accomplish.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. I’m 100% satisfied with their work.

Communicate what you want as clearly as possible. The more information you provide as a client, the better they’ll be able to fulfill your obligations.

For what projects/services did your company hire Muletown Digital, and what were your goals?

I hired Muletown Digital to design and build a website for my new business. I knew I wanted it built on a Wordpress platform and Muletown Digital came highly recommended. My goal for the website was for it to speak to our dream client and showcase our services. To convert visitors to clients.

How did you select Muletown Digital and what were the deciding factors?

I was referred to Muletown Digital and having seen the work they do and after talks with Adam and his team, I knew they were the right fit for me. He really listened to what I envisioned, answered all of my questions, and talked me through what would work and wouldn't work for what I wanted to accomplish.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kick-off meeting to talk through scope of project, the timeline for the project, and answer any remaining questions. Website copy was first step and once approved we moved into wireframes and approval. Home page design was done once the wireframes were approved. The designs were presented on a video call, edits made, then final approval. Ready for coding. Once site was developed the team ran it through a site test to make sure links worked, mobile versions were correct, and overall review then I was sent a link to review & approve the site before it went live. After the site went live, I had a live training to walk me through the back-end of my website.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with four members of the team. The project manager, copywriter, designer, and developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Every new lead we receive comments on how much they love our website and it's what compelled them to book a Discovery Call. As an online business, having a website that speaks to our dream client is critical to client conversion. Everything about our site does this.

I was kept up to date on my project through email and Slack. I knew what was being delivered when and what my next steps always were along the way.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They went beyond my expectations for our website. When I first saw it, I got very emotional. It was everything I envisioned and so much more. The team was so wonderful to work with and I felt valued every step of the way. And they were (and still are) there AFTER the site went live to help with anything that I need. They genuinely care about my business and how my website is performing for me months and more after.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing. They go above and beyond, are super knowledgeable, deliver amazing work, and treat you like a close friend along the way.
