The scope was to bring Pigeon up-to date with the latest Signal App source code with a strong focus on maintainability. We wanted to ensure that updates would be regular hence keeping the logic code up-to date. 

In collaboration with our Product Development team, Mobitouch’s developers analyzed the existing code to check which parts could be reused and separated the UI and functional side in order to keep the logic part in sync with the frequently changing code of the open-source solution. 

All in all, mobitouch created a functioning, more snappy application and came up with a safe and efficient process of rebasing updates in the Signal code into the app, testing for unexpected conflicts. This was especially important, and although the maintenance process is not fully automated, the maintenance resource requirements have been reduced significantly.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Thanks to mobitouch’s help, we now have an application that meets the strict requirements of our minimalistic feature phone. We can finally offer it to our users who were waiting for the new release of the app, and has been downloaded over 2500 times since its launch - we are extremely happy with the results.

The main goal was to create a mobile application containing new functionalities, which would greatly enhance user interaction with the content published in the app. We also wanted to refresh the design of the existing application to make it more visually attractive and intuitive, and thus more engaging, while keeping to our style guidelines. 

The project included: the preparation of clickable mockups of the app, programming, the implementation of the API provided by the Radio Nowy Świat, integrating the application with the web app, and publishing the app in App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery. The application is accessible by two types of users: registered and unregistered users. Some of the functionalities vary depending on the user type.

1. The number of paying subscribers has greatly increased since its launch. It’s crucial for us, as our Radio remains ad-free, relying solely on monthly fees from its loyal Patrons.

We hired mobitouch to refactor a mobile app that allows the generation of virtual and temporary phone numbers, thanks to which users can freely phone and send text messages and receive calls. The main goal of the project was to create a new version of 2nr premium, a mobile application, which would allow users to use temporary phone numbers. The new application was to consist of the default application version and the paid version. The temporary numbers generated in the application were to retain all the capabilities of a normal telephone number such as: receiving and making calls, receiving text and multimedia messages (SMS & MMS), as well as sending contact invitations.

The first version of the application caused a lot of problems for users and that was also the main reason why we decided to create a new version with mobitouch. After publishing 2nr premium, the feedback from users was significantly better. They often say that the app works great. Now, the application has been downloaded over 3000 times.

This idea became our mission over time and lead to the decision to create Billy, a mobile application that helps analyze daily expenses and optimize your home budget.

We hired mobitouch to prepare new functionalities for the already existing mobile app, Billy. Another task was to create a new application, Billy Plus. One of our priorities was creating the best possible experience for the user. We wanted the newer version of the application to be as functional and intuitive as possible. In addition, we wanted to develop the product under the watchful eye of experienced Flutter programmers who would be able to implement advanced functionalities. As I mentioned earlier, apart from developing the already existing application, we also wanted to create a completely new product.

We found mobitouch on the Internet and after looking at the opinions about them and their previous projects, we decided to start cooperation. A very big plus was their quick response and a very well-conducted sales process.

The mobitouch team was primarily engaged in the development of the Billy application. We wanted to update it and work on the existing code. In addition, mobitouch created a completely new application for us, which is called Billy Plus. They made sure that the two separate applications could be built based on one code. The new Billy Plus application allows for scanning receipts using the phone's built-in camera instead of taking a photo.

Thanks to this functionality, scanning is performed in real time, which shortens the whole task considerably, and the scanning itself is exposed to fewer errors. This is because the data from the receipt is processed on an ongoing basis, during scanning as opposed to processing it after taking the picture. When scanning the receipt, product categories are detected (which can also be changed), the bank account is recognized and, finally, the expenses are collected in the base. Another task was also to create a promotional code module for individual subscriptions in the application.

The Furgonetka BOX Partner application uses AR technology. It allows users to embed a 3D object in the image from the camera of a mobile device. Thanks to this, it is possible to visualize the parcel locker anywhere. The AR module works instantly. The user points the camera to the desired place and then selects the format of the parcel locker. The application will prepare the visualization on its own. In the next step, the user fills in a simple form to which the generated photo is added with its location. Then the application is verified - if the placement of the parcel locker is technically possible and attractive for business, our company will place its machine there.

The intuitive design of the application's user interface ensures the comfort of using the application. Launching the application will take the user directly to the camera screen. The next step is to choose the appropriate format for the parcel locker. Instructions and pop-up windows provide additional help. The application form is easy to fill out so that users can use it quickly. Mobitouch suggested Flutter technology to develop our app. Using it speeded up our time and saved our money.

Additionally, mobitouch designed a fully responsive and easy to use landing page. It gives our potential clients clear information on strong suits of AR Solutions and underlines the technological nature of our project.

I have decided to seek help with our project by announcing the tender. Quite a few companies responded to our publication. The best offer came from mobitouch. After the thorough vetting of the documents, we started a further investigation of the firm.

Additionally, mobitouch has a vast collection of sound and real references on the web. Moreover, one of my business partners heard of their expertise and recommended them as a good software house. All this helped us in choosing mobitouch.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The first part of our project was the design of the UX and UI for the Santaman plug-in. Without the intuitive and user-friendly visual part of it, we could not deliver the desired outcome. This is why mobitouch provided us with the design of four different web panels.

The first one is Admin Panel. It represents the administration part of the product. Its core functionality is the ability to add new e-commerce and managing payments. Additionally, it provides statistical data about shops and charities.

The next one is Foundation Panel. It offers the ability to add new initiatives and managing payments. The third is Partner Panel, which helps e-commerce owners in managing Santaman’s content in their shops.

The last is User Panel. This one is for the people who choose to shop online with Santaman. Also, mobitouch provided us with the graphical design of the news feed, product comparison module and search engine.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Mobitouch lent us theirs in house UX and UI specialist. Our product creation was overlooked and cared for by the project manager.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The outcome of the works is a complete graphical design of the web panels. The user experience for each one of them is unique and satisfying. Mobitouch provided us with a clickable prototype of our product. This allows us to present the core functionalities of the Santaman web plug-in.

All this will help is in the future with testing the UX of our product. That part surprised us rather positively. Moreover, mobitouch's UX/UI specialist prepared the documents for us regarding the project design system. In the future, it will ease the improvement process of our product. Overall, the design is transparent and very intuitive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

From the very beginning of our collaboration, the communication was professional and immediate. Every deadline set was meet in full. Mobitouch’s specialists answered our additional questions rapidly. They were always happy to help.

Moreover, the project manager supplied us with the perfect solutions for any problems. His ideas perfectly matched our needs. Especially with providing solutions, we did not even know about. All in all, the workflow was uninterrupted and provided us with a much-desired product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I did not observe any problems with communication or workflow in our collaboration. Mobitouch’s designer and project manager significantly improved our ideas. The outcome is the product we are more than happy with. Furthermore, we hope they will constantly evolve and expand their UX/UI designing team.
