Product pages cover RO purifiers, softeners, iron removal, valves manual and automatic, FRP vessels, UF systems, inline filters, each written up properly.

Too early to give hard numbers since we are still adding content, but enquiries coming through the contact form have gone up compared to before, and people ask more specific product questions now instead of generic ones.

Mostly WhatsApp and calls, not very formal but it worked for us. Somewhere in the middle we lost track of which product pages were approved and which were still pending changes, got a bit chaotic for a week or two, our fault partly since we kept sending revised specs.

The platform has two halves. Field teams use a mobile application to record material coming into each site, capturing inward details along with site name, item group, item name and the operator handling it. Management uses a web based admin panel that lists every inward entry with Inward Number, Site Name, Item Group, Item Name, In Time and Operator Name, plus filters for date range, site, item group and item, and a download option for reporting. A separate revenue and expense module was built into the admin panel to record reimbursements and expenses, apply site wise filters and show balance receivable. Deployment support and post launch fixes were also part of the scope.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Material inward records are now available on the same day instead of arriving at the head office days later. Operator level traceability exists for every entry, which was simply not possible with registers. Reporting that used to take a full day of compiling sheets is now a filtered download from the admin panel. The accounts team also stopped chasing individual site coordinators for expense figures, since site wise data sits in one dashboard.

Communication was steady and mostly proactive. Weekly calls were held during active development phases and updates came through without having to ask. One small observation is that in the middle stretch of the project the reporting shifted to a single point of contact, which slowed a few technical clarifications by a day or two until a developer was looped in directly. Once that was raised it was corrected quickly. Deadlines were respected throughout, including the extended phase for the finance module.

Most vendors design for the admin and then force the field to adjust.

The first version of the admin panel filters was over engineered for our team. Too many options were visible at once and our site supervisors kept picking the wrong combination, which meant blank result screens and support calls. Raising it took a couple of rounds before the layout was simplified, and the current version works, but that clarity should have come from the first design review. A short training document at handover would also have saved us some internal explaining.

Payment gateway hookup, order tracking, and delivery status updates were part of the delivery, plus a notification system running from order confirmation through to drop-off. Given the outlet count involved, this had to be built enterprise-grade from day one, not retrofitted later.

All five platforms went live within the project window. The customer app, restaurant app, rider app, admin panel, and marketing website are fully operational. Restaurant partners can manage their menus and orders independently through the partner app. Riders are being assigned and managing deliveries through the rider app. The admin panel gives our team centralized control over every aspect of the platform without external support. The marketing website is live and actively supporting restaurant and rider registrations.

Once that alignment happened in the first month, the development phase moved with considerably more clarity and speed.

The site was built responsive across all devices and structured to hold up under high concurrent traffic during active recruitment drives. Ongoing maintenance is covered under an AMC.

On the social media side, they set up and began actively managing our Facebook and Instagram pages and optimized our Google Business Profile so the home appears correctly in local search results for people in and around Narela and Delhi.

The most immediate outcome was simply having a functional, professional website live for the first time. Families inquiring about care for their elderly relatives now have a place to visit before reaching out, which has made initial conversations more informed. Our Google Business Profile is now active and showing correctly for local searches. We have also started receiving direct inquiries through the website contact form, which was not possible before. The social media pages are live and being updated regularly.

That kind of sensitivity to what we actually do is not something you can ask for in a brief. It showed in the final output.

In the early weeks of the project, we did not have a very clear picture of how the revision process would work, and there were a couple of instances where we were unsure whether our feedback had been received or was being acted on. A more structured update schedule at the beginning would have helped manage expectations on our side. That said, once we raised this, the team became more proactive about sharing progress, and the latter half of the project was much smoother in terms of communication.

The overall presentation of the brand improved significantly compared to where we started.

The project involved building two separate systems. The first was a vendor-facing mobile app where our buyers can browse fabric categories, view product details like GSM, width, and color options, check stock availability, and place orders directly. The second was a web admin panel for our team to manage product listings, mark items as out of stock, track orders, monitor payments, and handle shipment updates. Both systems were connected, so any change on the admin side reflects immediately on the vendor app. Testing was done before handover and the team walked us through the panel before we started using it.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The vendor app launched successfully and is now being used by our buyers to browse and place fabric orders. Our internal team can track all orders, payments, and shipments through the admin panel without needing to chase updates manually. Stock management became more straightforward — marking products as out of stock is now done from the panel and reflects instantly on the vendor side. Overall, the operational back-and-forth with vendors has reduced considerably since the platform went live.

Communication was generally smooth. Most updates and feedback were exchanged over messages and calls, and the team was reasonably quick to respond when we had questions. Revisions were handled without much friction once we explained what needed to change. One thing I noticed early on was that progress updates were not always proactive — we sometimes had to ask for status checks ourselves. That improved once we settled into a more regular review rhythm. Overall, coordination was manageable and the team stayed involved through to deployment.

The way they structured the vendor app — with fabric-specific filters, stock visibility, and category management — showed that they had paid attention to what a fabric trading business actually needs, not just what a typical marketplace looks like.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Mindrops could have done differently?

The onboarding flow for vendors went through more design iterations than we originally expected, and it did push that part of the timeline a little. The early concepts did not quite reflect how our vendors think about browsing fabric, so a few rounds of revisions were needed before it felt right. To be fair, the team incorporated our feedback each time without pushback and the final version works well. Starting with a more detailed discovery session about vendor behavior might have reduced those extra rounds.
