We have a working production environment where we can invite new people to a variety of questionnaires and see the results on our (Analist) side of the platform

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

They were a bit slow to really understand what our business was asking but when they were really up to speed the new designs and development were arriving on a steady pace and agile when we asked for other and new features.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The speed at which the first feature was developed, clear, and open communications were impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I believe that with a better understanding on development side of what the customer asked for some hick-ups at the start could have been avoided.

Our company advises Dutch employers about legislation and employer benefits in the field of Social Insurance, Health and work absence due to sickness. With different tools and services we help employers to reduce the costs of having longterm ill employees or employees which are entiteled to benefits according to our Dutch legislation.

In my position as Quality Manager I perform internal audits on the performance of our services. Do we deliver what we promise to our customers and clients? Do our employees execute their work conform the given instructions? Is there new and relevant legislation to implement? I advise to my co-workers and my management.

One of our services to employers is to predict the change for an employee to have to apply for a benefit by Dutch Social legislation. We also predict the change of an employer fine for not following the laws on Privacy and the so called "Wet verbetering Poortwachter".

Finally we predict the change for an employee to get back to work after a long period of illness (re-integrate). To do so we developed a risk tool. We hired Lizard Global to translate that tool to a user friendly web based platform.

What were your goals for this project?

The platform had to be user friendly, fast-response, steady, meet security standards and should store a lot of data. It also has to be available to different users and roles. Each role uses the platform for different goals. Lastly the platform should have our company look and feel.

We have already worked with them on another project.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They created our web based Ria Platform by which we can start questionnaires about the situation of the sick employee and some company details. The outcome of the questionnaire is a score on the 4 risk levels we determined: fine, privacy, legislation and re-integration.

Next to that the platform provides the possibility to create a report with the results of the questionnaire and in addition an advise for the employer. Data is stored and accessible, we have company overviews to see aggregated scores and we can view the progress of the risks over time. Questionnaires are easily created and mutated. Different visualisations are accesible in the platform.

What was the team composition?

We worked intensively with 3 people. Two of our company (myself and the business manager) and a product owner of Lizard Apps. The product owner inventoried our wishes and translated this into understandable requirements and deliverables for us to judge. Het also translated our wishes to the development team. We have (digital) meetings every two weeks. Each meeting is prepared with an agenda and afterwards we recieve a sprint report. To monitor our progress we also work with Trello. That is a good way to prioritize all the development wishes and keep track on the progress.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The web based Ria Platform reduces a lot of time for our consultants. Without the platform they had to analize the company results by hand and now it is done automatically in the platform. Next to that, our analists save time by using the questionnaire to create an empoyer advisory report. Finally, the chance of different outcomes between different analists is reduced, creating more steady risk analysis for our clients.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We communicated via e-mail, Trello, Skype, and by telephone. Goals were clear and when budget was running out, we were noticed in advance. It was made clear how our budget was spent and why some features took more time or costs than others.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The work they delivered under pressure. We did have some tight deadlines, but they had managed to deliver in time and conform our standards. It was not necessary to make concessions. Lizard Global  was able to understand our products fast so that the platform evolved in line with our business needs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Keep up the good work. I only have general comments. Because we have to communicate in English and also with people all over the world it is important to check/validate mutual understandings. Do we assume to understand each other or do we understand each other? In the Ria project there was enough attention spent to that. Next to this it is important to create a SLA at the start of the project.

Everything was handled professionally and in detail, the team really went above and beyond and we absolutely loved what they came up with. It helped us create an even bigger vision, as well as set tangible step-by-step goals to reach that vision over several years.

Three people were in touch with me, and they were absolutely great. From ideas to brainstorming and executing. It was one of the best experiences I had working with a company, and we've dealt with many software companies in the past that just did the bare minimum. The deliverables looked stunning, extremely excited about it.

We need to lauch our platform before end 2020 with a v2 in order to become market leader and build up a new business model for the real estate market.

Because of this approach we achieved a new business model for the real estate market. Looking different, with new insights delivered by Lizard Apps we were able to open up new markets. And currently shaving down the entire first project plan in order to make a solid impression towards our customers

The lizard apps team know how to work distances. With their team all over the globe they know how to share data, get next steps done and make decisions when you as a customer don't know what to do. With a Senior and medior project manager on board, we could not fail.

In response to agility and changing socio-economic and geo-political conditions, we came up together with a loyalty app that is accessible via mobile device. The value of the points change depending on certain triggers like personal occasions, weather, geo location, and any other external conditions. The points are redeemable anytime and push notifications are set to be able to remind consumers to consume their points.

The result was amazing in terms of user experience and capability. Client was impressed with the initiatibe we have taken through. Rewards program is a progression and requires optimization along the way, as such it is in progress.

I would say it is very effective. By being hands-on and having someone in my team too to be really hands-on helped a lot. It required much follow-thru, test and learn,    and some risks involved. But we are really happy to have partnered with Lizard--very dynamic, thinks out-of-the-box, and quick in response. But what's really important is the team work that made the project a success.

Packaging of the idea. We know their capabilities and at the beginning we know they can execute the idea. Thus as a partner with them, we helped them repackage the idea that is more sellable to the client.

I'm the founder and CEO of Flexpackerz. Our goal is to make the world your office and turn every place into a coworking space. We have mapped over 400 places in the Netherlands where remote workers can work from (e.g. coworking spaces, flexible offices, libraries, workcafés etc.) and meet each other. We are currently expanding to neighboring countries and aim to grow rapidly in the coming year.

I had a business idea for an online social platform and was looking for a developer to turn my idea into reality.

What were your goals for this project?

My goal was to develop and launch a high quality app that supports all types of remote workers, like freelancers, startups, students and business nomads, in finding their ideal place to work from and connecting them with the local business network on a daily basis.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I was looking for a partnership and not just a contractor. First I asked around in my network, talked to both freelance developers and development companies to partner up with me, but none of them dared to take on the challenge. Finally, Lizard Global got recommended to me and they were very enthusiastic to get on board of this entrepreneurial adventure.

I provided Lizard Global with a detailed mockup and description of each feature. Soon they turned this into detailed wireframes for the first version and started programming. Within a couple of months we launched an MVP and beta app. Since then we pivoted, experimented and re-designed a lot and now (2020) we are about to launch a complete new version that's ready for exponential growth.

Lizard Global has a great full-stack development team. Several team members contributed to the development of the iOS and Android versions of Flexpackerz. Because of our partnership, we are in the unique position, where our project is being supervised by the CTO personally. He is extremely skilled in both front-end and back-end development, which is a combination that is very hard to find. Next to that I can always count on the CEO as a sparring partner for the business side.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are about to launch the best version of the Flexpackerz app ever, with huge improvements in the app performance, user experience and features that support our business model. I'm especially happy with the smooth animations in the new design, which make the app feel way more professional than the previous versions. Recent changes in the back-end and our CMS system have also made our workflow for adding new locations 300% more efficient.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have a very good chemistry and short communication lines. Even though we work in different time zones, this has never been an real issue thus far. We plan calls every two weeks and communicate through chat or email whenever needed. For issue tracking we use Gitlab.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Every time that we had an unexpected major setback in terms of the development, they came up with solutions that eventually made the whole product a lot better. So 5 steps back resulted in 10 steps forward. I think that's a rare quality!

I would say planning and expectation management could be improved some more, although I have to say that they definitely improved their time management over the years and my patience usually pays-off.

The apps we developed had to be usable by students age 11-18 years old. Teachers needed to be able to easily get started using the software. Our apps had to work on Android and iOS platforms as well as being accessible by web browser.

Lizard Global have helped us create a unique product that is being used in more than 15 different countries. They provided additional guidance on operational activities and have also provided customer support options and marketing advice. Our initial project scope has expanded and Lizard have been excellent development partners.

Our communication and documentation has improved throughout the project thanks to shared Google docs, use of WhatsApp messaging and effective use of video conference.

The strength of Lizard has been their ability to quickly grasp the complex challenges that we were trying to solve, including the array of technical terms and jargon.

Our project managers and customer service reps are calm, focussed and helpful, providing clear feedback and realistic timelines for product development and budget.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Lizard Global has delivered a great outcome on time. We’re currently in the beta/planning stage, and the app has amazed top people in Malaysia. They’ve said that the app will change how people buy and look for property.

We’re tracking user adoption and engagement, lead generation and conversion, operational efficiency, user experience and retention, and technical and app performance. We’re measuring success based on the number of users who actively download, register, and consistently use the platform after launch. Growth in returning users and inquiry activity shows that the platform is solving a real market need.

One of our core goals is improving property lead quality and response efficiency. We’re monitoring the number of qualified leads generated, user inquiries, and how efficiently agents convert those leads into actual viewings or transactions.

The project has helped streamline communication and reduce manual processes. Tasks that previously required multiple follow-ups or manual coordination have become more centralized and automated, improving overall team productivity.

We’re also evaluating user feedback, response rates, and overall platform usability. Lower friction during browsing, inquiry, and matching processes indicates improved user experience and stronger retention potential.

We’re measuring technical and app performance through indicators such as loading speed, stability, responsiveness, and reduced bugs/issues after updates.
