The solution
The Skoon Cloud is a cutting-edge piece of software, which forms an efficient solution for the automation of logistics, as well as real-time battery monitoring and data tracking. Together with Lizard Global, Skoon created an online user-friendly and secured desktop and mobile platform, in which all data can be processed, analyzed, and stored safely. The Skoon Cloud platform provides clean data visualisations and space for flawless communication between owners and users of energy storage. WAPA/Proteus Risk Solutions is a maritime insurance broker, currently insuring more than 100 off-shore vessels against risks of war, theft, and damages caused by ice or other external factors. The web platform provides users with real-time tracking technologies, proactively tracking vessels, voyages, and HRA’s (High Risk Areas), in order to estimate the exposure to theft or damages.
Challenge
Lizard Global provides the client with real-time tracking technologies by means of an AIS (Automatic Identification System). The AIS tracks the vessel through satellites and provides information through an API. This information consists of a unique identity (IMO) number of the vessel, together with the position, course, and speed of that vessel.
Solution
On the WAPA/Proteus desktop platform, users can login to see the status of their vessel’s current location, velocity, and direction, which consist of three colours: green (clear of any risks and recently tracked), orange (possibility to enter an HRA within 24 hours), and red (currently inside an HRA, or not being tracked for more than 24 hours). Users of the platform can manage and edit their policies, fleet, risk zones, map and list view, vessels, daily digest, and voyages within the War Additional Premium Application interface.

Through two products, Skill Tracker and Service Tracker, students are encouraged to individually track ATL skill development and record service learning plans, activities, reflection and experience. Teachers can easily track student progress, students take ownership of their ATL kill development.
Solution
The IB’s Diploma Programme (DP) requires schools to properly record, evidence and report the skills that students are honing. Students should service learning with the development of learner profile attributes and approaches to learning skills (ATLs): there should be one coherent platform to realise this.

Van Eijck is an international car rescue company, specialized in car and truck transport and storage, assistance and replacement transport. During the summer months, Van Eijck provides consumer service by offering replacement transports when travellers are stranded during the trip to their summer holiday location.

Van Eijck has experienced many low-quality development companies that tried to digitize their complex processes and infrastructure. Imagine Dish - Eat , Share & Discover Great Food
ImagineDish is a company that recognized that the best memories with friends and family are made over a meal. They should be remembered forever and ImagineDish has an innovative way to capture and keep your most delicious memories.
Challenges
ImagineDish realized that currently there is no app where you can see real pictures of real food at restaurants and get recommendations from your friends about where to go and eat. Many apps focus on large groups of reviews as opposed to providing recommendations and reviews from your friends - who know you best.
Solutions
We provided an iOS app that allows a user to check out what is nearby to discover great restaurants and dishes, follow your foodie-friends, view their stories in an easy-to-understand overview; and share your own experiences.
A successfully completed MVP was delivered to client which lets the user capture photos, filter based on custom filters and create their own food diaries. These stories can be shared among their group of friends within the application.

Golden Hearing - Making music sounds sensational
Golden Hearing is an application that has the goal to track and record specific emotional responses to music based on biometric data. This will result in new insights into how people react to music.
Challenges
Music can, and often does, have an emotional impact on its listeners (think of how one gets goosebumps when listening to a particular song that has a lot of meaning to you). However, these responses have not yet been measured in a meaningful way.

Description
Bouwmaterialen Nederland (BMN) offers a wide range of materials and services for professional builders under one roof; From wood and plate, structural work, chemicals & binders, finishing, tiles to hardware and tools.
Challenges
BMN has a social mission: offering affordable housing for people with lower incomes. Their original process often consists of long and personal visits to houses, of which the results had to be manually digitized and subsequently ordered at BMN. A solution for more efficient service was needed.
Solutions
The BMN Connect app offers a full service measurement and task management tooling to building companies and contractors. Using the app, the user was able to measure and order new products for the entire house: from new kitchen, to isolation, doors, building materials and more.

I hired Lizard Global to be my developing partner for the application. Not only for development, but they are also a real team player. They think with you and ahead, so they come up with their own ideas and suggestions which can improve your idea and product.
What were your goals for this project?
I want to create a mobile application that is accessible for anybody. It has to be user friendly with great designs. Long term goal is a well working application that has the ability to support millions of users.
How did you select Lizard Global?
I selected Lizard Global after a few long months of meetings with different developers. They stood out because of their personal and enthusiastic approach. Also, they see the potential in my idea and think with me without asking for it.
This was so important for me as somebody once told me: 'Choose the developer who believes in your idea and wants to make it great with you'.
Describe the project in detail.
We are still in the start-up phase of this project. But in the end we will develop a mobile application which has a platform where like minded people can meet. Lizard Global helps me with all the steps on the way.
What was the team composition?
The team I work with at the moment consists of 2 product owners, UI/UX Specialist and a product manager. All of them are great in what they do and hard workers.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
At this point in the project we are working towards an investors pitch which will help me get the funding for the rest of the project. Their were a lot of brainstorm sessions already which resulted in great (new) results.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Even with different languages and time zones, they handle the communication flawlessly. They are always thinking ahead and scheduling appointments for future meetings. They are always open to feedback from my side and discuss the issue, so we can find a way that would fit my ideas and what actually will work in real life.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I find the personal approach and their professionalism the most impressive of all. I feel comfortable with this company and feel like they will have my back anytime. This security can't be bought, it comes with the people.
Are there any areas for improvement?
At this point in the project I can't see anything they could improve.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the proprietary owner of Holding On To Hope.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lizard Global?
I wanted to build a memory management app specifically designed for people with a brain injury. It is a task management, memory management, and memory improvement app for people with brain injuries.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They’re designing an iOS and Android app. So far, we’ve gone through the scoping phase and have designed the app. I had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I didn’t have a lot of technical experience and didn’t even know what a wireframe was. They’ve helped me through the process. In addition to design, they’ve shown me how to create blog content and we’ve planned how we will market the app going forward.
What is the team composition?
In the beginning, I worked with just one person, but then they brought on another person to cover certain details such as wireframes and designs. I work directly with a project manager for my app, but there is a whole team of about six people that are working on it.
How did you come to work with Lizard Global?
Initially, I reached out to my friends on Facebook for recommendations. A friend of a friend used Lizard Global to design an app and had good feedback.
I also searched online for other app designers as well. In total, I interviewed about five different companies, but I chose Lizard Global because they communicated with me frequently, presented new ideas, and impressed me with their follow-through. It seemed like they really wanted to help and were committed to the design and idea.
How much have you invested in them?
So far, it is about $15,000 AUD (approximately $11,000 USD), but by the end of the project, it will be about $45,000 AUD (approximately $34,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started with them in August 2020 and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project is going very well so far. We already have wireframes.
How did Lizard Global perform from a project management standpoint?
Their communication has always been excellent. We have fortnightly sprint meetings via Zoom; they update me on how the app development is going, I provide feedback, and we brainstorm ideas.
They manage the project in Malaysia, and so far, everything has gone smoothly. I’ve been impressed with how the project had progressed so far. Through WhatsApp, I can reach out to someone else at any time and they are really responsive.
When I have a question, they respond quickly. They are very collaborative in their approach to the app. If an aspect of the app doesn’t quite fit, I give feedback and they take it on board. That has been really impressive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve been impressed by how well they communicate and collaborate with us. They seem like a lovely bunch of people. They are friendly and approachable. They stood out from other companies I considered because they always followed up and kept in contact with us. They were consistent and that was important.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I really can’t fault them at the present time. I am very, very happy with everything they have done, and I can’t think of any room for improvement at the moment.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be really clear on the idea that you have for an app. Strong communication helps ensure that all parties are on the same page.

We are a labor supply company focusing on manufacturing and warehouses. I am the managing director (MD) for the company. I have an idea for going onwards with a new project, to digital innovating our business (HR).

I was looking at digitizing a new project, for an innovative idea that I have. Finding the right full-service digital partner is hard. The whole process needs to be setup, and going 360 with it. Looking for a proper digital environment for our business - from A - Z - and execute this to digital growth.

Overall. Finalised the first phase now, and still working with Lizard, due to their openness and full involvement with my business.

Lizard Global came recommended to us by a previous client. We became impressed at the first meeting already of how quickly the team understood our needs and was even able to put forward some valuable suggestions for additional features. We then received a competitive quotation with reasonable T&C's and that sealed the deal.

We had an initial briefing followed by a couple of co-design sessions. The team used Firebase and shared several iterations with us which brought us progressively closer to the goal.

I worked most closely with the CEO while we were ideating the concept and then liaised mainly with their Product Owner.

Our members loved the tool and it is used up to this day.

We had weekly catchups where the team kept us updated of the progress. We also shared an Asana workspace which allowed our own team greater insight into the detail of the work and enabled instant querying and interaction. They were responsive and efficient and kept us well informed of their progress.

The most unique feature of Lizard Global has to be the value they contribute to the development with their ideas. They are not just a sofrware development company, they support you in growing your concept and even introduce you to strategic partners.

We worked with Lizard Global as vendor for one of our existing clients, because we needed a company to provide best in class consultation on the project from end to end - and I was very happy with their approach and workflow.
Our goals were to modernize our clients online look and feel, together with optimizing their online offerings, making it easier from a UI/UX perspective to support the customer user journey for their users.

After speaking with a couple of vendors, I found that the professionalism and agile approach, supported by the immediate technological consulting capabilities within Lizard Global, where the best to provide our client with the best possible service.

Our approach with the client was to build the project in sprint stages, where we focused on building the backend skeleton of the website in PHP7, this was because we wanted to ensure the client would be able to understand and approve each new section before final deployment.
We installed several modules into the platform, such as Shopify for ecommerce support, chat bot for customer care and lead generation, at well as building the UI/UX mobile first.

We had weekly scrum meetings internally and by weekly with the client, as we had planned a 2 week sprint based development with client. However, both the client And I could reach Khaldoon (project manager) on daily basis if there were any questions - Always a great customer care and service.

their drive to take responsibility and ownership of the project is amazing, which showed in the meetings with the client where they provided strong leadership and guidance to project execution - which is especially hard when this client typically have decision making issues.

They are very tech speaky, which is good, but sometimes I had to remind them that the rest of us are human and cannot differentiate Javascript from PHP.

I'm a freelance UX designer who was hired by a client of Lizard Global. I act as Product Owner and Design Consultant, working with Lizard on behalf of my client. My Clients' company provides a service to be used by organisations to securely build contracts for their employees, have them reviewed, signed and stored within a secure platform.

Lizard Global were hired to design and develop this new product from concept to implementation, including project management. The platform had to be user friendly, to accommodate different levels of use for example the signing of one simple document or a building a complex contract requiring multiple signatures, it had to inspire confidence and security for the user as well as being a completely secure archive for storing legal documents.
How did you select Lizard Global and what were the deciding factors?
My client's company have worked with them multiple times before with good results.

Lizard organised the project workflow from start to finish. They adhere to a very clear and structured process in two week sprints, with multiple opportunities for us to provide feedback and input. We test the outcomes of each sprint in a staging environment before it goes live.
They are constantly looking for any improvements that can be made to workflow efficiency, using a bi-weekly sprint review to re-align everyone and check that the workflow is still working for us. Almost all aspects of the project are managed via Clickup, keeping the communication and tasks very streamlined and clear and allowing all parties to monitor progress.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I work mostly with 2 people from Lizard. The first is the Product Owner who is highly skilled at taking our requirements, prioritising them in terms of our business goals and fitting them into the structure of the project, while acting as liaison between us and the developers, making sure everyone has what they require to move forward.
The second is the lead designer for our project, who works with me as though I am part of the Lizard design team, which in turn can push the product further. They've both been a delight to work with.

This product is still being developed, working towards the MVP.

I have had no issue with the project management. Using Clickup which has been a recent transition, has really made things a breeze. The consistent communication moments and sprint reports keep everyone on the same target regarding tasks, deliverables and a transparency around the budget.

I was impressed with the rigorous structure of the workflow, that still manages to accommodate changes to the plan and unforeseen inclusions.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Our company advises Dutch employers about legislation and employer benefits in the field of Social Insurance, Health and work absence due to sickness. With different tools and services we help employers to reduce the costs of having longterm ill employees or employees which are entiteled to benefits according to our Dutch legislation.
In my position as Quality Manager I perform internal audits on the performance of our services. Do we deliver what we promise to our customers and clients? Do our employees execute their work conform the given instructions? Is there new and relevant legislation to implement? I advise to my co-workers and my management.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Lizard Global?
One of our services to employers is to predict the change for an employee to have to apply for a benefit by Dutch Social legislation. We also predict the change of an employer fine for not following the laws on Privacy and the so called "Wet verbetering Poortwachter".
Finally we predict the change for an employee to get back to work after a long period of illness (re-integrate). To do so we developed a risk tool. We hired Lizard Global to translate that tool to a user friendly web based platform.
What were your goals for this project?
The platform had to be user friendly, fast-response, steady, meet security standards and should store a lot of data. It also has to be available to different users and roles. Each role uses the platform for different goals. Lastly the platform should have our company look and feel.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We have already worked with them on another project.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
They created our web based Ria Platform by which we can start questionnaires about the situation of the sick employee and some company details. The outcome of the questionnaire is a score on the 4 risk levels we determined: fine, privacy, legislation and re-integration.
Next to that the platform provides the possibility to create a report with the results of the questionnaire and in addition an advise for the employer. Data is stored and accessible, we have company overviews to see aggregated scores and we can view the progress of the risks over time. Questionnaires are easily created and mutated. Different visualisations are accesible in the platform.
What was the team composition?
We worked intensively with 3 people. Two of our company (myself and the business manager) and a product owner of Lizard Apps. The product owner inventoried our wishes and translated this into understandable requirements and deliverables for us to judge. Het also translated our wishes to the development team. We have (digital) meetings every two weeks. Each meeting is prepared with an agenda and afterwards we recieve a sprint report. To monitor our progress we also work with Trello. That is a good way to prioritize all the development wishes and keep track on the progress.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The web based Ria Platform reduces a lot of time for our consultants. Without the platform they had to analize the company results by hand and now it is done automatically in the platform. Next to that, our analists save time by using the questionnaire to create an empoyer advisory report. Finally, the chance of different outcomes between different analists is reduced, creating more steady risk analysis for our clients.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We communicated via e-mail, Trello, Skype, and by telephone. Goals were clear and when budget was running out, we were noticed in advance. It was made clear how our budget was spent and why some features took more time or costs than others.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The work they delivered under pressure. We did have some tight deadlines, but they had managed to deliver in time and conform our standards. It was not necessary to make concessions. Lizard Global was able to understand our products fast so that the platform evolved in line with our business needs.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Keep up the good work. I only have general comments. Because we have to communicate in English and also with people all over the world it is important to check/validate mutual understandings. Do we assume to understand each other or do we understand each other? In the Ria project there was enough attention spent to that. Next to this it is important to create a SLA at the start of the project.
