Please describe your organization. What is your role and responsibilities?

The company is Politics. I’m the lead developer. I’m also the owner. It’s a young software development firm.

What was your goal for working with Lets Nurture?

We developed an app that allows anybody to become a lobbyist and start phone call campaigns for their cause at any level of government. It’s a complex piece of software. We utilized Lets Nurture to help us plug into various APIs [application programming interfaces]. We’re one of the few apps out there that uses deep links to make sure our content is as viral as it can be. What we’re trying to do is re-channel lobby money to be placed where it can do the highest and most good.

SOLUTION

Please describe the scope of their work.

We used Lets Nurture as our core team of engineers. We have two pieces of software currently. Lets Nurture and I have been working on the development for the past 10 months. There’s a lot of elements in the code, but now they’ve got the code working very well. It’s quite reliable. We have applied to the App Store, so we now have to build out the back-end so the payment structuring is in place.

What was your process for selecting Lets Nurture with which to work?

We had to fire our original developer because they were not as high quality as Lets Nurture. I used Elance to find Lets Nurture. They had high ratings, and so I gave them a test job. They delivered, and we went from there.

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project? Are you satisfied with their performance?

We grew our revenue 10 times in three months, and then grew our revenue another 10 times in six months. I’m going to continue to do business with Lets Nurture, their price point is good, and they work fast.

Is there anything unique or special about Lets Nurture that really makes them stand out compared to other business partners?

Lets Nurture is a lot better than my previous offshore house. They are responsive. They’re polite. They think about the user experience. They take care of bugs quickly.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

I started learning more code because I couldn’t manage Lets Nurture effectively if I didn’t understand what I was asking them to do. With any team, deadlines are an issue. I try to say, "here’s what we want." They give me an estimate of how many hours it’s going to take. They say when they think they can deliver. I hope that they start expanding more in the United States. For my future projects, I will use Lets Nurture for my back-end engineers.

I have been working with letsnurture for over a year on an almost daily basis and they have become like a family to me. They have spent many hours investing in understanding my needs and the purpose of the project and have become invested in it as much as I am . The project has many moving parts and they have really gotten i right.

What was the team composition?

I work with 2-3 team members on a regular basis, I also had a point contact for the iOS development and Android development.

I am able to now do beta testing on the platform

I had a clear chain of flow of contact and was effective

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They really care about the project and have invested in it personally. They are always responsive and not pushing. I had reservations at first if they would be able to understand my needs but they really got it.

What were your goals for this project?

We were aiming to gain enough traction to have 1,000 users within two months.

My friend introduced me to the company, mentioning how good they were. When I contacted them, they were professional and gave me good advice.

We discussed the project and the modules it consisted of. First, they did a mockup, which I gave my consent on, and then they proceeded to develop the app. Every segment was delivered on time.

What was the team composition?

Initially, I worked with the project manager. After that, we had two specialists, one each for Android and iOS. I was also introduced to backend developers behind the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Tasks and updates are all done on time. They do always do great work and never disappoint me. The app was just launched in a year ago, so I’m awaiting the progress and success of my product.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They fulfill their weekly responsibilities and always update me on new builds, and I was satisfied with the effort and work the put in. The two specialists did a great job communicating with me.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The service, knowledge, patience, and responsibility of the team make me feel great. Every time they propose something, I know they’ll deliver quality.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Maybe they could create a more effective way to have a conference call than using Skype. Sometimes the connection is bad and I find it hard to deliver my message.

We needed to implement an automatic payment solution that could be leveraged globally.

We wanted the ability to handle all devices for the end user and to make electronic payments for the transportation industry easier.

We went through a number of vendors and looked at their proposals, mostly focusing on their cost and previous experience.

They designed and implemented a fully automatic payment solution for us that can be used on any device (laptop, desktop, mobile, or tablet). The project included work on a communication platform and global payment processor as well as the user interface. The solution also allows users to switch between three languages.

What was the team composition?

I think they had four to five resources on board, including a project manager at the peak of the work.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

The solution has been successfully completed and we are using it in stealth mode right now, so I can’t really share details at this point.

How effective was the project management?

This aspect was great and we are satisfied.

They knew the technology that we required very well. They were also very flexible with any minor changes that we needed and always responded quickly.

What tips or recommendations do you have?

I would recommend them for any software project. They were very cost effective and did a great job.

It was an emergency project due to a bug. Because of the latest Android OS update, the app stopped working for new downloads.

The project involved deploying over 20 Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices across a two-mile stretch and developing a mobile app linked to these devices. Lets Nurture assisted with the design and development of the mobile app, including the backend API and device connectivity.

The team consisted of one project manager, two iOS developers, one API developer, and one QA.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?

The app was well received by the end client, a city council. Since then, we’ve had an ongoing association with Lets Nurture for multiple projects.

They could slightly improve their QA of user interfaces. Otherwise, we had a smooth engagement for the duration of the contract.
