Bait and switch tactics. We engaged Lead Generators International (LGI) for a U.S. outbound appointment-setting campaign in early 2026. Our signed agreement defined the target as U.S.-headquartered companies in specific industries, and we paid a $5,000 deposit up front.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
On the recorded kickoff call after we signed and paid, they told us they had never run a campaign comparable to ours and had no comparable U.S. referenceable customer in our industry. On the same call, they described our target buyers as reluctant to take calls from lead-generation companies and said such buyers screen those calls out heavily. That was the first time we heard any of this. None of it lined up with what was described during the pre-sales process, which was the basis on which we chose them.

LGI engaged in a cold calling campaign on behalf of PataBid to generate leads for our estimating software platform. At the beginning of the project, they worked with us to create the list of contacts using Zoom info and PataBid's internal email lists. From there, a calling team was assigned to us and they performed calls for a period of about 3-4 weeks. Each day, we would receive a call log that quantified the results of the day. 

If a prospect was not interested in meeting with us for a virtual demo, then the LGI staff would email the prospects a custom PDF flier about our estimating product. The LGI team also created the PDF flier for us at the beginning of the project. We had many successful virtual software demos that happened as a result of this campaign. In total, LGI booked 35 demos for us and sent 40 emails to potential clients.

LGI booked 35 virtual software demos for us to complete with contractors, as well as sent email information to another 40 contractors during the course of the project.

Yes all deadlines were met. The management team had very constant communication with our entire PataBid team throughout the entire process. All of our needs were addressed immediately.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

From the beginning, we could tell that LGI was a different type of outbound marketing company. They took the time to get to know our product and trained their callers properly. We knew that the callers would represent our company well and would not be overly pushy on calls.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Lead Generators International® could have done differently?

I cannot think of any areas of improvement for LGI. It is clear that they have developed a very successful business model for themselves that is based on excellent customer service.

Lead Generators International®'s work was key in helping us increase the number of leads we received and converted into business opportunities. We got 300–400 thanks to them.

Overall, they delivered quality and sophisticated work, which we needed for our business.

Lead Generators International®'s project manager was always in touch with us and kept track of everything to help us improve our results and avoid facing issues throughout the progress. In addition, they were great in terms of communication, meeting deadlines, and staying within budget. Regarding tools, we used Google Sheets, email, phone calls, and Zoom due to my preference.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lead Generators International®'s biggest strength was their ability to understand and adapt to our needs.

I didn't think there was anything they could improve on.

I recommend having a clear structure when implementing their work. Lead Generators International® does have a lead-generating process, but giving them specific insight into what you need will help them do their job.

We started by having initial meetings to share documentation about our business and ensure that they understood our company’s philosophy so they could represent us accordingly. Lead Generators International® was able to meet deadlines and stay on budget. Regarding tools, we used weekly Zoom meetings and emails for questions — communication was great.

We had some scheduling issues in the beginning, like double-booked appointments. Still, Lead Generators International®'s team was quick to correct these errors.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lead Generators International?

We have a lot of brokers sending us deals and we're competing with a lot of different private equity companies so we wanted to build out a proprietary deal flow or pipeline. Lead Generators is helping us with this challenge.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lead Generators asked us for metrics on the types of companies we were looking for. We provided them information on these companies’ location, size, revenue, and number of employees and they narrowed down the list. Further input from our side helped narrow it down further. 

After that, we developed a script based on what they’ve seen in the past and what message we wanted to convey. The team basically started calling, emailing, setting up meetings with the owners of these companies, and describing to them the type of services we offer.

We worked with the two partners of Lead Generators. We also worked with two callers who were contracted for this project.

I googled Lead Generators and looked up their ratings, pricing, and timelines. Based on the testimonials of their customers, we decided to give them a shot.

The partnership began in March 2021. It ended in July 2021 but we’re looking to pick up on their services again after Labor Day.

It was a great experience working with Lead Generators. They definitely delivered and secured us conversations with various companies.

How did Lead Generators International perform from a project management standpoint?

It was great. There was always someone from the team who attended to our issues and responded to emails at any time. We always got ahold of them very quickly.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lead Generators had a lot of experience doing these kinds of calls. They were able to adapt to and engage with the owners, adjusting their verbiage and getting them to meet with us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We could do some more tweaking on what types of companies were looking for. When we pick up again in September, I think we’ll spend more time doing that to actually narrow down the exact metrics, industry, and geography of the companies we’re looking for.

Make sure that whatever list you’re curating is tight and specific. Once Lead Generators have that list, they’ll do a really good job of doing what they do.

We were a new company, and we were trying to reach out to our customer base, which included a lot of municipalities and utilities in Canada. I was the only person in the outside sales team, so we hired Lead Generators International® to generate leads in a short period of time.

We did a two-month campaign with Lead Generators International®. We gave them a script to use when talking to people over the phone. They focused on reaching out to the decision-makers in different departments, specifically the purchasing departments.

They would give us the information and we would focus on closing the sales. The team used MailChimp to send out letters and brochures.

They brought back leads that turned into sales. We got quite a few decision-makers in the campaign.

Their project management was satisfactory. The team would give us reports of the people they reached and those they weren’t able to reach. We communicated via phone and email. We also used Salesforce, where they would input the work they were doing so that we could see the progress of the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project was quick. We invested a couple of months and we got what we needed. If I had tried to do it on my own, it would’ve taken eight months to a year. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I was happy with everything.

Make sure the expectations are clear. Some customers expect Lead Generators International® to close the sales as well, but that’s not what they do.

I’m the president and CEO of RegIQ Solutions LLC. We have an automated regulatory SaaS platform for medical device companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lead Generators International?

When I first talked to Tyler (President & Founder), the idea was that we wanted to generate some early leads that would potentially populate our first adopter program. These people would be first on the platform, and we would gain experience and some feedback from them. 

I asked them to put together a lead generation campaign that would satisfy pulling in some of these folks, within the US particularly, so that we could start to generate that information flow.

Lead Generators International reached out to contacts on lists that we mutually agreed to. The team tried to gain appointments with these folks based on a script, which I agreed to and signed off on. They would then contact prospective customers.

Tyler was my primary contact. Occasionally I would work with one or two of his senior call teammates, just for clarification processes.

This was the third time that I worked with them. I had partnered with them at previous organizations. Tyler had worked for me successfully on two campaigns.

We worked with them from October 2017–February 2018.

Tyler met my expectations in terms of engaging potential customers. He was successful.

How did Lead Generators International perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication was impeccable. I received daily communication from Tyler, and I would also get weekly statistics and synopses tabulated for me. I don’t think there’s anyone who has stronger attention to detail that Tyler and his team. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to get back to me within reasonable periods of time and address everything very quickly. They were very flexible in terms of delivery, and his team was responsive to him and him in turn to me. That was primarily the reason I worked with them for the third time. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Tyler is very personable, so I would recommend spending some time with him and getting to understand the nature of how his business operates, the team that he has built and how they worked together, and how that's going to translate to any potential projects.

He liked to be at the forefront, so because of that, you need to be able to accept a lot of data coming back your way from them because it's the data that drives the project and determines what changes or flexibility factors need to be introduced.

I'm the sales manager for Peerless Engineering, an industrial automation company that works with hydraulic, pneumatics, and vacuum equipment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lead Generators International®?

We had a German client that partnered with us to be one of their U.S. distributors, but it was for a new product that was quite different from our traditional products. As such, we needed a partner who could find new customers and generate leads outside of our normal client base.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We helped Lead Generators International® understand the product we were trying to sell, and then they began conducting market research to identify the ideal target market, even eliminating some options that we thought could be a possible match. We also worked together on how best to introduce the product to the target market.

After that, they started providing cold calling services. We gave them a list of different industries we thought would be a good fit for the product, and they provided a list of specific companies and organizations within those industries that we could approach. They did cold calling and letter follow ups, making appointments for us to go and meet with their leads.

We searched for local lead generation companies online and found them. I met with one of their representatives and liked their approach, so we hired them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Lead Generators International has generated a vast amount of leads for us, reaching nearly $250,000 in product sales. We’ve had to turn down jobs because we don’t have the capacity. They helped us scope out the market and determine how much inventory we should bring in. Without them, it would’ve taken our in-house team more than triple the amount of time to accomplish what they’ve done. They’ve saved us time and money by providing insight into what customers want.

They proactively manage the project and regularly follow up with us to make sure we’re benefitting as much as possible from the partnership.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have an excellent account manager who took time to get to know the product in order to better engage with our potential clients. He was able to answer their questions and even came on sales calls with me to introduce me to the leads. The entire team was engaged in and enthusiastic about our project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’d never worked with a lead gen team before, so we were a bit skeptical about what they could accomplish. If they had a way to better quantify their work and show the value they offer, that could help people like me who weren’t sure about partnering with them.

Trust them because they know what they’re doing and they’ll accomplish great results.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’ve found that I’m generally good at keeping clients, but I’ve struggled with finding new ones. I engaged Lead Generators International because I wanted to implement a professional way of reaching out to potential leads. During both engagements with them, I relied on their team to generate new business.

I worked with one caller from Lead Generators International who represented our company and made all of the requisite phone calls. I’d receive daily updates on the leads that stemmed from those calls. Lead Generators International sometimes provided recordings of the calls so that I could give constructive feedback for how the caller was describing our services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The most prominent metric is that we were able to make more money in sales and profit than what we spent for Lead Generators International’s efforts. Further, I still work with many of those new clients regularly all these years later.

But maybe more important than that initial success is the clarified vision we were able to project to our clients. I had to answer so many questions at the beginning of the contract about parts of our service that we hadn’t critically analyzed. Lead Generators International helped us refine our mission statements and do a better job of how we talk about our services.

How did Lead Generators International perform from a project management standpoint?

I remember them being organized, professional, and open to feedback. For example, at the start, the caller was not asking the questions in a way that made sense. She didn’t present the services in a way that made it sound like she knew what she was talking about. I provided a little additional coaching and gave them more background information, and she adjusted her approach right away.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are results-driven and client-focused.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing that stands out as needing improvement. They were great, and I highly recommend them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future clients should have a narrowed focus on the results they are trying to achieve. At the time of our engagement, we had 7­–8 services, and we were challenged to focus on the primary outcome we wanted from their work. Otherwise, we’d be shooting fish in a barrel.

I believe they were originally recommended to us and, after doing an initial branding exercise with Tyler, we immediately thought of him for this project. Although the services we requested weren't something they ordinarily do, he hired a couple of employees to work on our project and provided all the technology and scripting.

The telesales project took place around February–August 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their services were exemplary–they under promised and over delivered. In addition to beating all of our deadlines, they also delivered under budget. They were able to take our falling customer base and turn it into a new territory of opportunities, ramping up sales from nothing. They exceeded our expectations in every way and created a whole new revenue stream for us. I believe we're also the only company in our industry that was able to do something like this.

They were very methodical and responsive to our needs. We never had any communication issues. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their work ethic, professionalism, and ability to deliver results set them apart. They even guarantee results and stand behind what they're doing, which is very rare in their field.

No, not at all. I'm so impressed with them that I plan to work with them again, and they're the only vendor I'll recommend to others for the types of services they offer.
