 I am the Product Head of a fintech startup.

Our company is a technology pivoted FinTech startup that aims to disrupt the FinTech ecosystem thro’ unique products & services that are an amalgamation of revolutionary technology and traditional banking & financial services/solutions.

Our system aims to provide a single and consolidated dashboard to handle all financial instruments such as bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts (stock & mutual funds), wallets etc. under one roof.

• Integrate with Bharat Bill Pay System (BBPS) for a stable, revenue-model-supported backend service.
• Develop a single, consolidated dashboard to manage all financial instruments, including bank accounts, credit cards, investment accounts, and wallets.
• Create a unified platform for handling various bills, payments, and subscriptions, such as Telco recharges, utility payments, and credit card settlements.
• Enable personal finance management features within the app, including transfers, tax planning, and investment management.
• Provide a foundation for future rollouts involving data analysis services to help users understand spending patterns, identify savings opportunities, and improve tax and retirement planning.

Kloudworx and their team were responsible for :

• develop a unified dashboard for managing all financial instruments, including bank accounts, credit cards, investments, and wallets
• create a platform for handling various bills, payments, and subscriptions like telco recharges, utility bills, and credit card settlements
• integrate with bharat bill pay system (bbps) as part of phase 2 for backend payment processing and management
• build and ship features like stock perforamce report, asset performance, identification of key areas in the expenses etc/

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Timely delivery of project, linked 200+ financial institutions using open banking APIs and direct bank APIs, no errors during acccount linking success rate with all banks. Linked 100+ customers on with 300+ accounts within 24 hours. Aggregated 12000+ transactions for expense analysis within 1 day. Overall 100k+ transactions were analysed for expenses before shipping the next version.

It was after COVID 1st wave, so most interactions with the functional and technical team was via Zoom meetings. But, their project and technical manager and my team connected in person on regular basis as his office was adjacent to our office.

They don't follow any specific project framework, but completed my project almost on-time. The original launch date was planned for Feb 1, 2022; but we launched on Feb 12, 2022 due to some technical issues with Amazon for sending SMS in India. Otherwise, their work was on time only.
 

Most of what we asked for was done except for certain network and server related tasks as they did not have cloud server hosting in India at that time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to understand our requirement. Since it is a small/medium sized company, they tend to attend to you and treat you with high importance.

KloudWorx, Inc.'s knowledge in understanding and developing as per our needs was good. They could have been better in doing performance testing. However, they do not have full-time load testers in their team.  

Are there any areas for improvement or something KloudWorx, Inc. could have done differently?

Recruit more testers and do more of QA and performance testing. Most of the testing is done by the developers, hence, we had to write test cases and handover to freelancer testing team.

As a software company, they can hire testers.

1st Brief, documentation with time line and requirements required at both ends to stick to time line.  It was challenging from our end to stick to Kloudwox tiimeline

Very responsive, sensitve and abolutely time bound.  Even if there were some delays, it was informed well before to logical reasons.  

In most of the meetings and calls they were alway 1 notch up in giving business logics in our process and UI case.  That I found with them,

I like Sriram's business logic approach in every stage of our requirement.  I find this is their USP and i terribly missed that with all my earlier vendors whom we associated.
