Before hiring Klientboost, our company had not tried a consistent, large-scale campaign in paid search. We were working with another agency, but had not seen the results we were hoping for, and so we were looking for a new partner. Our goals was to efficiently drive new leads to our Sales team.

We researched various PPC agencies online and shared an RFP with agencies we were initially interested in. Klientboost shared back a proposal, and we were pleased with the enthusiasm, relevant case studies, and transparency in methodology that they shared.

The scope of work focused on Google Ads. Klientboost looked at the prior performance of our Google Ads account, set up new campaigns in accordance with their SKAG strategies, and built new landing pages to kick off CRO efforts. In the first three months, they were able to significantly decrease the cost per qualified lead and helped bring in new revenue that leadership was thrilled to see.

With these early successes, we were able to add more budget to our original scope, and Klientboost helped us expand to experimenting with video ads on Youtube as well. With the expertise, by the end of our first year with them, we've added another extension to assist in our email marketing efforts.

Initially we had a team of 2; one CRO designer and 1 account manager. At one point, we had a staffing change and Klientboost replaced the original AE with a new AE + 1 campaign manager. For the email project, we received consultation from their head of email.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Klientboost's work has helped lift ROAS of paid search by 300%, decrease CPQL by nearly 30%, and continues to bring in leads that generate new revenue for the company.

The Klientboost team has always communicated well! We've been happy with their timely replies, letting us know about OOO in advance, and their adaptability to strategic or budgetary changes that come from our team. They use Slack and Asana, and provide excellent transparency into their work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

From the beginning, working with Klientboost has felt like working with great people -- though our budget is small, they have always been attentive to us, and we've never felt lost among their accounts. Their collection of case studies across a wide array of industries is impressive. They prove that their strategies work.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The departure of our original account manager was a bit sudden -- we're not exactly sure what happened, but it seems that the handoff between prior and current account managers could have been smoother, in terms of Klientboost helping to make sure the new account manager could get up to speed. We also have a small budget, and so the ratio of agency fee to ad spend is almost 1:1, which is not ideal. Klientboost did try to accommodate us and lower our monthly fee a little bit.

After the iOS 14.5 update, which reduced our ad return on Facebook drastically, we were looking for a company that could take over our Facebook account, secure the ROAS and scale it, as well as expand our efforts on Google.

We checked various review platforms and interviewed other companies as well. The resources that Klientboost has on their website were a great sign of knowledge.

They took over the accounts, made sure that tracking and reporting were accurate, then took over existing ads and slowly modified them and added new ones. 30 days after the ad launch they set the current ROAS as baseline with the goal to improve upon it 10% every three months. They create the creatives, ad-copy and also do some conversion-optimization via AB-tests with Google Optimize.

We have an account manager, a campaign manager and a CRO strategist.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We surely have difficulties for PPC agencies given the recent changes that impacted particularly Facebook Marekting. But when we hired them the iOS update and its impacts had already happened and were visible. Klientboost was well aware of the challenges and did not make any promises (naturally), but still communicated possibilities and expectations that were not even remotely met.

Our accounts performance has declined since they took over. Unfortunately they have not managed to keep our Facebook ROAS at a steady and good level (while the goal was to increase it). When trying to scale our account our ROAS plummeted to unacceptable levels and we had to pull the breaks.

Communication is via Email and Asana. Asana is great as it allows us insights on progress and upcoming projects, milestones and the general timeline. Datastudio is used as a dashboard to compile the results like ad-spend, ROAS etc from the various platforms. Everything is very organized. We have bi-weekly meetings to discuss progress and issues.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their level of transparency towards the client and style of communication are excellent. Everything is super-transparent in Asana. Goals are set and agreed-upon logically and Klientboost hold themselves accountable. They really seem to have a lot of experience in the company, which they use to set things up properly.

Everyone we have met and worked with at Klientboost is really friendly and nice to work with. They also understand the value of a brand and make sure to keep ad-copy and creatives in line with our premium-segment marketing touch. No sell-out for short-term results.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Onboarding-phase took longer than promised. It then took quite some time to fix attribution / tracking issues with our shopify store before any ads were launched. Expectations management could be better - particularly in the initial sales pitches. It's not enough to make the klient sign an agreement that says "no results are promised".

Klientboost manages our Google Ads, and our Facebook & Instagram campaigns. I initially began searching for someone to manage our paid campaigns because we're in a high growth & highly competitive space but we did not have the space to manage our campaigns with our current employees. Our goal was to set up effectively structured campaigns and increase acquisition without an increase in cost per leads.

I found several vendors and had interviews with each one. What I really loved about Klientboost is they practiced many of the things that I find the most helpful within agencies — as in, they're not focused on vanity metrics. They really emphasize working together as a team and are very reliant on experimentation as a way of improving.

After signing the contract, I filled out a questionnaire about our brand, goals, pain points, etc., and then met the team we would be working with. From there, we discussed goals and deliverables which were then shown in a shared Asana. Each week we have a project touch base and multiple interactions for reviewing work. We use Google Ads, Hubspot, Facebook Ads Manager, Asana, and UnBounce.

In the first quarter, we saw our lead volume increase by 20% with a minimal change in our cost per lead. The next quarter we are working on continuing that same trend. I have been happy with the work that has been done so far on the account and only see positive things for the future of our work with Klientboost!

We have many different ways that we can communicate, via Slack, google meets, Asana, or email and oftentimes find ourselves using all of those channels. There has been ample opportunity to provide feedback on the workflows and change what is and is not working on any given week.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They pair CRO with the paid efforts! Oftentimes these are two different departments but at Klientboost, your package includes both.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes the work that is required for lead gen efforts means that our team needs to get involved a little bit more than I would like in order to move forward with a strategy. I am not sure how avoidable this is but part of the reason we wanted an agency is for us to be hands off and the things that require development work utilizes our most strapped resource.

Our previous agency was falling behind for a client like Salesloft that was growing so quickly and needed help with cost management and expanding into new platforms. KlientBoost manages all of our search engine needs across Google and Bing and will soon begin helping us more with SEO, social and video.

We executed a rigorous vetting/RFP process and started with 6 companies. KlientBoost was quickly narrowed down to one of two finalists and won our business because they were a great culture fit for Salesloft and provided us with the most comprehensive plan for how to grow our business - not just in the realm of search.

KlientBoost did an audit of our platforms as soon as we launched our partnership and in that process, unearthed concerns and solutions that no other partner or company surfaced. From there, we built out a 30-60-90 day plan to first address critical problems, then solve for quick wins that would yield significant upside early on, and then ultimately begin plotting out the growth strategy for the future.

KlientBoost was able to help us:

- Quickly develop and launch several new landing page designs and A/B test them for the highest optimization.

- Reduce our average CPA on Google by about $50+

- Expand our search strategy on Bing to now being +~120 leads/month

- Quickly solve for fixing campaign structures, pausing out old keyword sets and generally optimizing performance

KlientBoost uses Asana to manage projects and timelines and gives the client full visibility into updates, timing, stakeholders and status. Usually, this information is communicated to the client -- not given to the client with full transparency. This has built trust early on and shows just how hard KlientBoost is working for us.

We have one point of contact - our account manager - who listens to and responds to our needs and then manages the rest of the team as necessary towards results, bringing in experts from the KlientBoost side as needed. We meet every other week and keep in touch in between via Slack and email.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

One thing I like is how quickly they work and just how great the outcomes are. Things don't slip through the cracks, they're done before I even ask, and always right the first time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At this time I do not have any suggestions for improvement.

They’ve done a great job. We've seen excellent results — compared to our numbers at the beginning of the year, our conversions have doubled within the last month. Our cost per acquisition is down by a significant amount as well.

How did KlientBoost perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is one of their best skills — KlientBoost is very organized. We use Asana to track all the projects they're working on, and the team constantly updates it. 

In terms of communication, we have 30-minute meetings every other week. They're always available on Slack, and they respond right away whenever I have any questions. Their response time through email is excellent, too.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their customer service is highly impressive — the team is incredibly attentive and helpful.

No, there's nothing I can think of in terms of what they could do better.

I recommend having an internal teammate with a good marketing background who can understand what's going on and provide feedback for the team. However, if you don't have anyone with a marketing background, KlientBoost can help you understand their work.

Our PPC campaigns were originally delivering installs at a cost of nearly $200. Klient Boost was able to drive this down to just under $80 per install by the end of our first 3 months. Our social campaigns had been doing well from a social standpoint but did not perform well from an install / revenue perspective. Klient Boost stepped up and made them all highly optimized profit machines!

Great, the use of Boost Flow and the way they report data through bi-weekly calls is perfect.

They don't just talk the talk. They know their value and what they bring to the table, and they implement it with vigor.

Klientboost was recommended by another marketer at a different agency who saw great results. We walked through a discovery phase where the team already suggested recommendations about our accounts and strategies. With a small focused team, we felt they filled a major gap.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our CPL went down by close to 50%, while maintaining overall lead captures. We also started testing new types of advertisements that had never been in market before.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We meet weekly, with the team providing analytics bi-weekly. We also have access at all times to a dashboard with a breakdown of our activity by platform, month, and quarter. Our teams are both very communicative and the KlientBoost is always quick to respond.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team is incredibly nimble and focused. This was definitely a gap we needed to fill, and Klientboost has been able to work with our other agencies as well for a holistic approach.

Nothing comes to mind - we have continued to extend business to other arms of our team based on quick results.
