Considering cost, we located in India. I had a MBA classmate who was an Indian IT engineer. I asked help from him. He sent me a list in Bangalore in India which was very useful. I looked through the list including about 300 Indian software companies. I picked up 7 the most active ones to reach out, because I could see the date of the company's previous clients' comments and rates. I talked with 4 companies and got 3 quotations. Finally regarding my requests, I thought JDV was the most time-saving and affordable one. Besides, I liked the salesman in JDV who was eager to get us as their client. Since I used to be a top saleswoman, I knew he was a very good salesman, because he really cared about each client, especially I thought we probably were a very small client to him and his company. I wanted a reliable one to cooperate with us for long time. Basically in my plan, I preferred a good software company in charge of all the IT stuff for us to our own IT employees. Describe the project in detail. When we started this project, firstly, I was very impressive that they sent me a detailed project schedule, so clear. In the first group meeting, there were FIVE IT engineers listening to me carefully together. I was shocked that to do this project well, so many engineers were involved. I was very happy and confident for them. Then in the first half process, I always replied to their questions to let them know my idea and purpose clearly and specifically. And in the second half process, they always replied to my questions for publishing etc. What was the team composition? There were three major managers to be in contact with me all the time. I knew there were more IT engineers involved, but I didn't need to send emails to all of them. I liked this way. To be honest, I couldn't distinguish their responsibility very well especially in the beginning. But I didn't have to, I just sent emails to the three, one would reply to me, very good! In the end, I knew one was responsible for sales and marketing, one for development, one was boss. **RESULTS & FEEDBACK** Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success? Within 3 months, our app was finished the whole development and we were able to start testing! Very efficient! And for the test version, I gave it 80% satisfaction score. The project is still on flight. Once completed, we are hopeful it will increase the sale of the SQL Mantra Tool, widening the market for the product. Further, it will also give a nice easy to use GUI interface for the end-users as a result it will be more sellable. We normally have a weekly call to discuss the progress and have screen share to collaborate as well as tools like Google Sheet to document issues and bugfixes. Further, we are also using emails to communicate matters with screen prints, etc. Earlier in the project, we have established a hosted virtual server to host the website and this server was used as a common platform to share and stage the work.
