SCOPE POS is a platform where sellers ring up the customers. It is the platform that enables the business of users to make sales.This platform also enables the payment record between all buyers and sellers. Through this platform, the buyers maintain the sales record, the product record and also the payment record.

This app enables the business to perform operations fast. Actors Following are the respective actors that will be involved in using the system or will be responsible for the administration of the system.

• Cashier - is responsible for issuing receipts,receiving payments,adding items and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions.
• Team Lead / Project Manager -  Responsible for the overall project architecture and management will also be responsible to act as a liaison between the Admin and InvoZone. Responsible for merging a new feature into the codebase
• Software Engineer - Following the instructions given by Team Lead or Project Manager to achieve a specific goal in a given time period

• Their dev team is amateur, i believe they higher fresh graduates and assigned them to us.
• No QA were assigned to the project not UI/UX engineer, despite their claim in the contract and proposal.
• They are training their new-hires on our project i believe as there was many common issues.

What was the scope of their involvement?

InvoZone is developing a fully responsive website for us from scratch, compatible with mobile phones, desktop devices, and tablets. As for the technology stack, they’ve used React Native, React.js,  Solidity as blockchain technology, and JavaScript. We’re almost done with the development project, but we’re planning to go with InvoZone into a maintenance plan where they’ll assist me weekly.

It’s a crypto marketplace where people can buy anything with cryptocurrencies, including both physical and digital objects. Users can connect their third-party decentralized wallets to our marketplace to make purchases. Our platform uses smart contracts to lock the payments and release them when people receive their goods. We’ve also implemented shipping APIs to have couriers delivering the physical products.

We work with a project manager, a customer satisfaction manager, a blockchain developer, a frontend developer, and a backend developer.

Our collaboration with InvoZone has been good. They’ve deployed my UI designs very well, and they’ve always found a way to implement all the features I’ve asked for.

How did InvoZone perform from a project management standpoint?

InvoZone’s project management has almost always been good. Although we’ve had some misunderstandings, they’ve always had someone looking after our project. Our communication with their developers is also very good. We communicate via Slack and Google Meet, and we use Trello to organize tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

InvoZone has an extensive team, and they always find a solution to implement the features we want.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be great if InvoZone ensured perfect communication from the beginning. Although their communication isn’t bad, they need time to adjust initially.

Ensure to communicate your ideas and make it clear how often you want to communicate with the developers.

I'm the CTO of Big Shooter Golf. We are a startup aiming to innovate golf so people around the world can play against each other at their respective locations while their scores are equalized on one plane. We have a team of 16 and one office in Toronto.

We hired InvoZone to help solidify our backend as we were having some performance issues with live play. Their backend engineer came in and was ready to suggest improvements from day 1.

We made a huge variety of server improvements from improving pub/sub pattern with Redis, simplifying db models to making sure our server supports multi-threading and we are utilizing our system resources as efficiently as we can. We also had major improvements to be done on the mobile app, we hired two react-native/angular experts from InvoZone and they were able to come in and help us complete our rebuild of the mobile app which has significant performance improvements as well as sleeker design and AR capability.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found InvoZone through one of their marketing specialists (Anum) reaching out to me via LinkedIn. At the time of hiring, we were talking to a few other IT consulting firms as well but we selected InvoZone due to the developer experience, timings and their communication team was very welcoming from the start and always reaching out to make sure things are okay.

They designed and improved a python-based backend (using Django) as well as a React-Native app (V1) and a Stencil/Ionic app (V2). All of the people were tasked with core feature deliveries whether they be frontend or backend.

Backend features include:

• pub/sub
• ORM query simplifications
• automatic hook for converting uploaded videos on our app to more condensed and compressed versions while still preserving most of the quality which are used as stories for golf holes within our own app
• API improvements
• multi-threading support

The frontend features included:

• live play table view where all the players play including websockets integration for synchronization
• tour/tournament creation UI (where admins or organizers create their tournaments and tours and add people)
• media view (like instagram or snapchat stories)
• most of the design on the app itself css wise

We were able to complete the first launch of the mobile app back in December last year which attracted a lot of traction to our app. At the beginning of this year, we partnered with the Canadian Junior Golf Association and the National Golf Association to host around ~168 tournaments for their players over the course of the whole year.

The V1 delivery was critical for us to secure these partnerships and so far we've already hosted like ~40 tournaments this year for these organizations. We couldn't have achieved the V1 results without the help of InvoZone as not only did the server results drastically improve but the frontend engineers did a great job on the newly promised features like the media view.

The team was great, they met the deadlines that we set as a company and the deadlines that they would set for them selves per task. We are extremely pleased with the experience and coordination thus far with InvoZone and aim to stay partners with them for the long term.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We had direct access to the whole team, which made it much easier to share and coordinate on ideas. New resources were readily available and in record starting time without needing any formal time commitments, InvoZone allowed us to be very flexible with our team management as tasks grew or shrunk to make sure we had what we needed for the time being.

The resources were also all very knowledgeable and very comfortable with each other so there was always some team chemistry to begin with which is awesome. At this point, they can coordinate on a new feature end to end without needing much guidance and BSG as a company trusts their decisions and instincts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This is very general and could apply to all remote developer jobs as this is a new era for developers since most of them after COVID have been working remotely. So obviously new standards and rules need to be set which do not translate the same from an office environment.

However with all that being said, sometimes the new resources we hire would require us to push them for communication, of course this is weird for the developer too as expectations have not been set yet but as a tech manager who is thousands of miles away from them, it would be nice if they regularly gave me updates rather than me having to reach out to them. This was only during the beginning phases however as once everyone is on the same page, InvoZone devs did an awesome job adapting.

Despite the tight deadline that InvoZone’s team had to meet, they stayed in touch, communicating each and everything throughout the project. As the first step, they thoroughly researched the market as they consider it a crucial step in developing a mobile application. The next step was to build the wireframe and design to make it user-friendly.

Next came the development process that involved coding and testing to make it 100% bug-free. The last step was to deploy the app in the app store. Their effective communication made the final product according to our needs and requirements, saving us from the disappointment of not liking the final product. They used the following technologies to develop our healthcare app; React, Python and Angular.

I don’t believe there are any areas for improvement since everything was delivered to us according to our needs. Their sense of professionalism and dedication to their work makes them the perfect choice overall.

What was the scope of their involvement?

InvoZone developed our platform on iOS and Android; it also had a web version. The app also had guided meditation content, and it let users speak to the broader community to get peer-to-peer solutions in terms of mental health and wellbeing. 

Moreover, they developed a feature where users could seek help from qualified psychotherapists and psychiatrists over the phone or within the app through video sessions. They developed the app from scratch using React Native.

On top of that, their pricing was highly competitive. The team’s approach was professional, and they provided realistic timelines. That was why we hired them.

The engagement lasted from June–October 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

One of our key metrics of success was the end users’ feedback — they loved it. From a technology point of view, the app was secure. InvoZone was also cost-effective; they delivered the project at $7,500, while we had quotations of $25,000–$60,000 from others. Finally, they met our deadlines. 

How did InvoZone perform from a project management standpoint?

To communicate, we had a Slack channel where we interacted with each other. We also had weekly calls, where we discussed project details. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The engagement was professionally managed, especially in terms of setting timelines. We missed some deadlines, but that was because of delays in the delivery of information from outside sources. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any. There would always be room for improvement, but in this particular project, the InvoZone team was truly good. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be ready in advance and try as much as you can to deliver the required information to InvoZone quickly. A lot of times, they come back to us needing permission to access certain information and we’re not ready. Similarly, work closely with their developers and ask them to provide the maximum amount of information to you in terms of the project’s progress. That way, you won’t waste time.

The website included a login page with a registration section for 2 different groups; General Practitioners or Pharmacists. This would lead you to the corresponding website. The same creative was used for each creative. Each website included faculty information, slides, and a page for a quiz.

During the initial stages of our startup, we found it really hard to hire developers on a budget to help us develop our platform. Plus since it was just a start, we couldn’t afford to pay a team every month. InvoZone delivered what we were looking for on a budget and within a time crunch. They developed a user-friendly front end and back end. Additionally, they provided us regular support after the deployment stage as well.

They adopted an agile project management approach. The dedicated project manager ensured that the requirements are clearly defined and communicated among team members. Due to agile methodology, the project was delivered on time, and also any bugs in the system were fixed as soon as possible. The team’s response time was very quick. They were not only proactive but also very cooperative. All in all, we were very pleased with the professionalism the team showed.

They could find solutions to problems as quickly as possible without disturbing the scope. Also, we were really impressed with how they have kept us in the loop at every stage of the development process. Moreover, they valued our feedback and acted upon it to the best of their abilities.
