To meet our growing development needs, we engaged Intelisoft under an outstaffing model. We already had an existing PHP-based core platform, and as the product evolved, we needed to expand its functionality using the Java stack, including the development of a separate Java-based payment module. The project focused on building a loyalty and rewards solution for restaurants, bars, and hospitality venues, designed to help businesses increase customer retention and engagement.

The platform included features such as customer profiles, loyalty points and rewards management, personalized offers, digital wallets, and seamless payment integration at the point of sale. A dedicated Java-based payment service handled transactions, bonus accrual, redemptions, and integrations with external payment providers, while ensuring secure and reliable processing during peak hours. The system was built to support high transaction volumes across multiple venues, with real-time data synchronization between the legacy PHP components and the new Java services.

Due to tight timelines, our client required a rapid scale-up of the development team, leaving no time to source internal resources. Intelisoft promptly addressed this need by assembling an experienced team consisting of three senior Java developers, a DevOps engineer, and a frontend developer. The team quickly integrated into our workflow, helped deliver critical features on schedule, and supported the stable rollout of the solution. I’m a project portfolio manager at global leader in aluminum packaging. We produce cans, bottles, and aerosol containers for beverages, personal care, and household products, with a strong focus on sustainability.

What challenge were you trying to address with Intelisoft?

We needed help with a project portfolio management platform with a key element to the visibility of project metrics. The platform needed to enable project leads to easily manage and update action logs in one place. The main goal was to reduce the manual efforts to update the presentation in PowerPoint. We also needed an integration with AI that generates a summary overview for our C-level/board members.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Intelisoft has designed and developed the platform with analytics that show key metrics and statuses for multiple projects. The platform also generates automated reports thanks to the integration with PowerPoint. Another component that Intelisoft has built is an action log management board for project leads to update the statuses and comments. The team has also integrated AI to generate a summary overview for each project based on the content of the project.

Intelisoft provides a full set of services for us, including UI/UX design, API architecture, front- and backend development, AI integration, and testing. The main deliverable has been an MVP, which the team has implemented within around three months. After the successful delivery, we started working on enhancements for the platform.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Intelisoft has delivered the MVP on time. We’ve received positive feedback from our IT office about the quality and stability of the platform. The team has also provided fast development, amazing communication, and a great management team.

Usually, our leads (operation directors and plant managers) need to spend at least 1–2 hours to find and review the data they present in the previous meeting. Then, they compare it with the current status and add it into the presentation slides, including only the data that has changed.

After that, they polish the presentation and match it with the other slides. Not all those people can work efficiently and quickly with PowerPoint, and they don’t always have enough time to complete the presentation. As a result, quite often, we’ve had a situation where those leads present the statuses of their projects to the C-level verbally instead of writing them down. For the next meeting, it’s difficult to remind them what was said.

Once we’ve implemented the platform, the process to complete the presentation takes around 5–10 minutes, saving a lot of their valuable time. This is the most important metric for us.

Intelisoft delivers everything on time, within the cost, and with the required quality. Their management is amazing and responsible. We communicate via virtual meetings(Teams), emails, and Slack.
