Inceptivee tech helped us to create an Android and iOS app to serve as a way for our wifi based call button to send notifications to users mobile devices. They took our concept and mapped out the plan and through various beta versions finally delivered the app which is still in use today.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have tracked customer growth and user satisfaction since the roll out of our app, which has steadily prgressed. We are continuting to adapt to the changing nature of the inudstry and we take user feedback to incoprotate changes into app updates. Inceptive Technologies has been very responsive to our needs, which has helped ensure customer satisfaction over the years.

Inceptive tech has communicated their timeline with us clearly and for the most part has delivered our projects on time. There has been little to no pale in service or app function anytiome an issue arises because Inceptive tech is quick to repond to any issues we have.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I am based in Florida, my business partner in Oakland, Califronia and Inceptive tech is in India. Despite our locations beong spread across mulitple time zones, Inceptive tech was able to successfully communicate with us and get the job done!

Are there any areas for improvement or something Inceptive Technologies could have done differently?

We are a small company and currently our app does not generate a substantial amount of recurring revenue for us. We are working to develop value into our call button/app and plan to update the app with several tiers of paid subscription. 

We want Inceptive tech to help with these developments. At one point they did lost thier iOS enginner and we were forced into a holding pattern for more than a year. I am hoping that things have changed on their end so that we can contnue to revamp our app and contnue to delvier an amazing service to our user base!

We wanted to develop the backend of our site.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We have Inceptive Technologies working with us on a retainer, and they set up and monitor our database. They’ve built our backend coding that customers use to log in, manage their accounts and calendars, and grab their widget codes — they’ve designed everything of our UI/UX.

In terms of technologies, they’ve used PHP, MySQL, and Laravel. Inceptive Technologies is also providing current maintenance to our platform.

What is the team composition?

We’ve been mainly working with Ritesh (Co-Founder), but there’s also a programmer, a QA lead, and a project manager involved in the project.

How did you come to work with Inceptive Technologies?

I’ve known Vijay (Founder) for about 20 years; we’ve worked together on previous projects. We stayed in touch, and I reached out to him for this assignment.

We’ve spent $40,000 with them on this project so far.

We’ve been working together since June 2001, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our company’s site is doing what it’s supposed to be doing; we’ve received about 1,000 B2B customers since we started working with them. 

How did Inceptive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We like that aspect of them, and that’s one of the reasons why we still use their services. They constantly give me updates, showing me what they’ve accomplished. In terms of communications, we use Skype and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their professionalism is what stands out the most about them.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Any advice for potential customers?

Be clear with your questions and make sure you have a plan of what you want. You must know what you want and communicate it to them beforehand.

I'm co-founder of One Piece IT. We are a managed IT service provider specializing in small and medium sized businesses. I work with business owners to help navigate and align their IT needs for their business.

For what projects/services did your company hire Inceptive Technologies, and what were your goals?

We first engaged with Inception to help troubleshoot a major issue with a custom web application. They were quick to respond, analyze the software code and resolve my issues. Since that experience, we have worked with Inception to help with ongoing maintenance of client websites, as well as engage with clients to solution custom applications. Currently, with inceptions assistance we are in development on a multi-year project that will help to automate and easily manage a clients logistics, payment, volunteer, and candidate processing.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Originally Inception was selected as they had a specialization in php programming which was an immediate need to help support a custom application. Other factors was their effective communication abilities, their flexibility to engage in meetings to accommodate my time zone, and their full team of Developers and QA resources.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As mentioned before we have used Inception for several of our client projects. Their quoting estimations have always met expectations and the deliverables have been provided ontime and within budget.

Inceptions make things very easy by providing a single project manager to handle accounts, who is easy to work with and translates the technical really easily to our client business resources. So each meeting we have with clients they are able to identify options and clients can make sound decisions keeping projects progressing forward.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The work ethic is phenomenal! I thought that using a remote service like theirs would have barriers with communication and getting access to resources when I needed them, but I have had no issues contacting them even with the opposite timezones.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

A local presence would do wonders for communication.

I'm the founder and CEO of Peartree Language Solutions LLC. We provide language learning tools for world language teachers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Inceptive Technologies, and what were your goals?

I taught French for over 30 years and came up with an idea for a web app that would help World Language teachers teach grammar and vocabulary in an engaging way. This web app is very different from what is out there because of its customizability. It is a very ambitious project and quite complex.

When I started out in 2018, I had absolutely no experience in the tech field and I needed a company that could help me learn how to navigate this new environment and communicate in a way that I would understand and that would understand me when I told them what I needed.

SOLUTION

How did you select Inceptive Technologies and what were the deciding factors?

I had tried a company from the US and the Philippines but was not impressed with their communication level. I needed a patient, supportive teacher/developer who could translate tech talk to something I could understand.

I also required PROMPT responses and continuous updates to know what was going on at any given time. This was one of the main reasons I chose Inceptive. The deciding factor was the cost, their flexibility, and their kindness.

We started with several meetings to discuss my vision, and from there, we built wireframes and slowly fleshed out what Tactilingo would look like. Because it had never been done before, and I lacked experience in web development, it was slow going, but we finally created the first iteration of my web app.

Tactilingo is based on huge databanks of words in several languages. Each word has the following attributes associated with it: an image, a part of speech name, type and icon, an audio clip, and a sample sentence. Teachers can copy or edit these words or create and share their own words.

They can then build lists and games based on these words. They are provided with three customizable game templates, which they can use to create matching, categorizing, or sentence games for their students.

They can then assign games to student dashboards and track student activity. Inceptive also had to make my app COPPA, GDPR, PIPEDA compliant (online privacy for children) and developed an affiliate program.

Tactilingo has undergone many iterations due to user feedback, and Inceptive was very flexible and understanding.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The company owners were my initial point of contact and have remained available throughout the development process. I also worked with a few project managers and sometimes with the developers themselves.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched Tactilingo 1 year ago and have had lots of interest. It works very well. We are still tweaking a few things as we receive feedback from users. It remains a work in progress, but am I very pleased with what we have created.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

The project management style is available and very communicative and supportive. We developed a shared spreadsheet outlining issues, status, dates, questions, and answers to track everything that was being worked on.

We have also been having weekly Zoom/Skype meetings to discuss things more in-depth. Finally, the project manager emails me regularly with updates or questions and is always available to me if something comes up.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were able to come along beside me and help me learn so much about developing an app. They have been extremely patient with me and flexible when I had to change things. Finally, cost-wise, they were just what this bootstrapping entrepreneur needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Sometimes, the developers would forget to add some things, which caused some issues, but then the project managers or owners would step in and make sure everything was resolved to my satisfaction.

I'm a doctor of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. I'm also a co-founder of a small technology company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Inceptive Technologies?

Our technology company had the idea for a new device. Since it was a new concept, we needed to work with a mobile application developer that could turn our idea into reality.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inceptive Technologies helped us develop a wireless device that works via Wi-Fi. It sends practitioners an alert when their patient needs assistance during treatment. It's called the roommate button. We're trying to launch different versions of the device. As those come to fruition, we’re talking to them about developing more features. I liked their work so much that I also had them develop a website for my private practice.

What is the team composition?

I mostly worked with the owner on the website. We work with 4–5 team members on the app.

How did you come to work with Inceptive Technologies?

They originally contacted me through Facebook when I was looking for a mobile app developer. I couldn't find anybody that would actually respond to my email and take the idea seriously. They were able to quote me a price and a time frame that was actually professional and reasonable.

How much have you invested with them?

The mobile app was $12,000 and the website was $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2016 on the mobile app, and it's an ongoing collaboration.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Of both projects, I get the most feedback about the website. People always say how beautiful it is. They created a great layout that is user friendly.

How did Inceptive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They're communicative and hard workers. They turned my website around in only two months. They respond quickly when I send an email. They have a great work ethic and professional integrity.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They gave me great advice on what my website should contain in order to improve SEO. Most website designers expect an outside firm will deal with SEO, so I really appreciate their feedback. Additionally, I wouldn't have finished the website so quickly without them giving me deadlines and pinging me for content.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Absolutely not. I only have nice things to say about them.

Don't go anywhere else. Inceptive Technologies is great.

My company is Ayefro Digital Solutions Limited, and we’re based in Ghana. We provide event service providers a platform to interact with their clients or potential clients. We developed a mobile app called Ayefro Inc. Ayefro means wedding in Ghana. It’s essentially a wedding planning app, but it’s not just for wedding planning. It’s for any kind of life events like a birthday party, a reunion, a festival, or any kind of event. You can find the right service provider for your event at extremely good prices. You can compare vendors based on price, ratings, reviews, and even location, so that you find exactly what you are looking for.

What challenge were you trying to address with Inceptive Technologies?

I got married last year, and getting ready for the wedding was a hassle. Finding the right people was difficult. Planning a wedding in Ghana is very expensive. It’s a huge social event where families come together and celebrate. The moment you mention that you are having a wedding, people increase the prices of the everyday goods and services that they provide. They just want to take advantage because they know it’s a highly stressful time and you don’t really have many options.

I wanted to find a solution to this problem. I wanted a solution that would bring all vendors together and be the place where people go to find exactly what they need. People go where they know they will find what they want. So that’s the challenge we decided to solve: how to get the best service provider within your budget, for whatever event you are hosting. Because of our robust feedback system, people can see the quality of the service provider. Customers can review their portfolios, and then rate them after the services have been provided. This way, hard-working service providers are rewarded while the lazier ones are avoided. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had the idea for the app, but I did not have any design. I knew what I wanted it to be, but I didn’t have the full picture in my mind. I just knew that I wanted a solution that could be a bidding platform, where the service providers could bid on events created on our app. Inceptive took my ideas and designed the app, then fully developed it. The app is currently available in the Google Play Store for Android users.

How did you come to work with Inceptive Technologies?

I posted on Twitter and we had lots of people bid to develop a mobile app for us. Inceptive was one of them. Their CEO was very helpful and friendly. He had good communication skills and was very patient with me. This was my first time working on a project like this, and it was a daunting task, but he was very patient with me. Many times, I wanted to stop and just quit, but he kept advising me and was just very patient. 

How much have you invested with Inceptive Technologies?

It took about $5,000 to get everything put together and go live.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement began around October of 2016. I then got married on October 29^th, so I was away for some time. Real development started in January of 2017, and the work finished on April 17^th, 2017.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We really care about our customer’s experience. We are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to our users. We contact all service providers who sign up to the app and provide them with some quick tutorials on how best to use the app. In the process, we also take their feedback. We contact the services and find out how well they like, so we have lots of feedback. As a result, we’ve been able to roll out two more updates. We are expecting to roll out another update based on user feedback.

Users are extremely happy. We’ve built a community around the app in Ghana and Nigeria, and people actively use the app daily. We’ve also created groups on social media platforms for our users, where we can interact on a daily basis. We find out the challenges they have so we can provide support in real-time. They are really excited, and they propose features we could add to make the experience better for them.

We monitor the install rates, the daily number of active users, the engagement of the users, the crashes, on a daily basis. When you create a good app, it’s not going to market itself. It depends on the after-launch marketing strategy. We’ve relaunched the app on April 17 and held a launch event for a selected group of service providers at a four-star hotel. We’ve been doing social media marketing, and we recently signed a contract to market on radio. You can have a good app, but if you don’t market it well, it will not get the desired number of installations. Currently we have about 400-500 installations. We have about 270 active, daily users. The average user engagement lasts about 5 minutes. We’ve had about 30 reported crashes in the past week, due to updates that we’re working on.

How did Inceptive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They did pretty well. They kept to the timelines and used the resources the way we wanted. Sometimes they worked extra hours, weekends, and even holidays to make sure that we met our timelines.

We used Fabric, a suite of programs for analytics. When they developed a new feature, it was uploaded to Beta, an app developed by Fabric, so we can test the app with our team in Ghana and get feedback. We give the app to a few people to test and provide us with feedback. We also used Skype a lot for communication, as well as email.

What did you find most impressive about Inceptive Technologies?

The team is easy-going, and it’s fun to talk to them. They also listen, and they’re very level-headed guys.

Are there any areas Inceptive Technologies could improve?

I have suggested that they hire a UI/UX tester to add to their team. Sometimes I had to draw exactly what I wanted before they were able to implement it in the app. They delivered on the functional and technical aspects, but I think they could improve with the UI and interface design.

I don’t have programming or developing experience, so I needed to bring in a developer to bring my app idea to life.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inceptive Technologies provided both development and design for my app, which is for iOS and Android. I explained to Inceptive Technologies what I wanted to accomplish, and they walked me through everything from wireframes to launching the app. At the beginning of the project, I only had an idea which I sent to Inceptive Technologies' team. They were able to create wireframes and make sure it was everything I wanted.

Once we agreed on the functionalities to develop, Inceptive Technologies started production on the app itself. They gave me different options for the UX [user experience], and I selected how I wanted things to look like. Inceptive Technologies adjusted a lot of their designs to fit my vision.

Inceptive Technologies provided a lot of technological guidance throughout development. I wanted to have the app access Google, making it so that a residential property could come up in Google Maps when a user searched for it. Inceptive Technologies was able to walk me through that process and make sure the feature worked as I envisioned.

Inceptive Technologies helped me to understand how the app could be built. They knew how to do everything I wanted.

I reached out via Twitter to find a developer, and Inceptive Technologies responded with details about their company. I also spoke with a few local companies, but they weren’t affordable. The amount of work and input I got from Inceptive was worth what I spent.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Inceptive Technologies in August or September of 2015. We launched the first phase in February of 2016, and I’m now working with them on phase two of the app.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The users love the app, and I love it too. I want to make the new version more streamlined, more focused on community events, and engagement aspects. Overall, I’ve gotten nothing but positive feedback about the app. I went to a trade show, and the people who saw the app really enjoyed it and thought it was a good idea. It’s very easy to use.

How did Inceptive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

I worked directly with one developer, who was my lead. I appreciated that I didn’t have to follow up with multiple people. It was a very easy process. We regularly speak to make sure things are still working. I reach out to Inceptive Technologies if there’s any functionality that isn’t working right. They are always available to help.

We had a phone call every week, for about an hour, on which we reviewed our weekly goals. We followed up with emails about the specific tasks. I had no issues with missed deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about Inceptive Technologies?

I think Inceptive Technologies' dedication to the work makes them stand out. They’re very easy to work with and very thoughtful. Inceptive Technologies never made me feel rushed. They were willing to take the time I needed to ensure the final product met my expectations. That made me feel very comfortable working with Inceptive Technologies.

Are there any areas Inceptive Technologies could improve?

The time zone difference presented some scheduling challenges, and sometimes our phone calls were dropped. I’d like to have a better way to communicate with Inceptive Technologies.

Our company is OEM Connect Limited. We purchase liquidation lots of inkjet and laser toner cartridges for resale. We operate numerous stores on Amazon and eBay, as well as our web store. I’m the e-commerce manager in charge of those stores. My team does the fulfillment and manages all the orders.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inceptive updated our informational website based on information we gave them. Inceptive completely redesigned the site from scratch without much input from us. We wanted the project to move very quickly, and Inceptive met that goal. Due to our time and budget limitations, the scope of work doesn’t necessarily reflect the extent of their talent.

Since then, Inceptive has also worked on two other projects for us. One is an informational site, and the other has e-commerce features. Inceptive has done both design and development on these projects. The informational sites were built on WordPress, and WooCommerce was used for the e-commerce site. We dealt mainly with two people throughout the projects, including their head of development.

Our president was given a referral through a social setting. We also reached out to a couple of local firms but decided on Inceptive Technologies based on their cost and the timeline they gave us.

For the three sites, we’ve spent around $15,000. Unfortunately, we always have a limited budget when we work with Inceptive.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Inceptive Technologies in June 2015, and the last site was completed in August 2016. They still do monthly hosting for us.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Inceptive Technologies has fulfilled all the goals that we originally set out to achieve. My company has decided not to incorporate analytics into our site, so we don’t have metrics on traffic, but the quality of their work is very high.

How did Inceptive Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Inceptive is very responsive and always available. It’s very easy to deal with them. Inceptive was on top of everything. The only delays were due to the time it took me to provide Inceptive with the necessary information. We communicated daily, and they were available around the clock.

I’m most impressed with Inceptive's responsiveness and timeliness. They’re also very nice people.
