We provide educational software for schools and private use. Our aim is to make learning fun and more interactive. Our company name used to be eSelect, and now it’s Prime Revision, Ltd.

What challenge were you trying to address with i-Lanam Technologies?

We went to them to develop a website and app that would allow students to revise all topics they were taught in schools.

What was the scope of their involvement?

i-Lanam developed our website and Android app. We’re thinking about making an iOS version as well.

The new idea we incorporated into the platform was to allow teachers to assign PDF questions or worksheets to the students. The students could make inputs on the PDFs, which would go back to the teachers for marking, just like traditional papers. Eventually, students would be able to track their progress within the app. This eliminates a lot of paperwork and allows teachers to do whatever they want to do.

i-Lanam also developed software for managing people in schools and tuition centers.

What is the team composition?

My main contact is their project manager, and I’ve also interacted with a senior developer and a UI/UX designer. There are four developers assigned to us in total.  

How did you come to work with i-Lanam Technologies?

We’d worked with other companies, but we got junk code, and the development was very old-school, even though we were paying a lot of money. I met with someone from i-Lanam, who read my requirements and demoed what they could do for us. They were able to conceptualize my idea into visual content, and their designs were more contemporary, so I switched to i-Lanam from my old developer.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested $30,000–$40,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in April 2019, and it’s ongoing. The main development ended around July 2020, but we’re contemplating developing an iOS app.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve had some glitches, just like with any software. i-Lanam has done a great job developing the scope of features we wanted. The product is on the market, but we’re in the early stages and haven’t started any serious marketing strategies.

Things are a bit up in the sky because of the COVID situation, and we’re still deliberating on what to do, but i-Lanam hit the nail on the head in terms of design and development. Our app is one of the best on the market right now. If we have an issue, they’ll completely resolve it. The support we’re getting from them is great. I can call or email them anytime.

How did i-Lanam Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re available 24/7 for support. I can call or message them on WhatsApp at any time, including on weekends. Deadlines weren’t always met, but there were many issues and requirement changes coming from our side, so I can understand it. i-Lanam has been very good overall.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s their support and determination to do the work. I can’t put a price on the support they offer, because it’s very hard to develop something when we get responses to our emails one week later. If I have a problem, i-Lanam will pick up my call one hundred percent of the time. That means a lot to me, and I’ve never met anyone like them in terms of support. They’re genuine people, and they’re determined to do the work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Delivery time is an improvement point, but it’s not a big problem. There could be more transparency in terms of pricing. They’ve tended to take on a lot of work without breaking down the pricing into tasks, but they’re very generous with the work they offer, and they have flexible payment options.

I’m happy to be working with them even though some things weren’t delivered on time. I know that they can do a quality job.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I think that any client would be fortunate to be working with i-Lanam. They’re always ahead of things and very supportive. I find this to be important, since it’s very stressful to not get the right support when developing things. I’m happy to have stumbled across them, and I think that any prospective customer should make up their mind and go with i-Lanam. They really deliver, and their designs are very contemporary.

We are a small Bar & Restaurant in Canada. We wanted support from our local community as well as the tourists coming the city. i-lanam helped us developed an application for our restaurant to be able to engage with our customers as well as patrons.

We wanted to engage our customers through daily, coupons and other exciting events but it was difficult for our team to manage being a small business.

That is where i-lanam came for assistance since we were technologically handicapped and their team helped us create this application for easier operation.

The goal was to have a simple UI for our team as well as consumers to use.

The team consisted of three developers, one analyst and one manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a few bugs during the initial phases of the application and the delivery time was little bit off from the decided date which could be because of our frequent changes in functionality .

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We never felt any pressure for the application since after the first meeting the team was able to understand our concept pretty well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their friendliness, communication, and flexibility were impressive.

Because this was my first development project, a results-driven team committed to providing best solution and support was a preference. Looking at their past work, they had experience in developing similar platform. Their design and development skills impressed me and I hired them

They designed the application using Adobe XD, the mobile app and web app is being developed using Flutter.

There are 6 people involved in the team, Business Analyst, UI/UX designer, Project Manager, DevOPS engineer, Flutter developer and Quality Analyst.

The project is about to be completed and has turned out to be far more better than what i had expected.

They follow full SLDC, From Planning and Initiating to Implementation and Control.

We have direct access to the project manager and weekly meetings, which makes it easier to communicate our ideas.

While the work quality and communication is on the top, they could have been more diligent about documentation. I've shared my concerns with the project manager and the team is working on the same now.

I wanted to develop a Dating Application for the users with a better UI and algorithm based on the users mutual interest in Music and movies/series

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched for agencies on Upwork and interviewed a few people. Of which we found i-Lanam to provide with the best services. They also have experience in building a similar application which was an added advantage.

We had brainstorming sessions for the app idea, color theme, design etc. The project was divided in various phases Wireframe Design Development & Testing and Final Delivery. They have used Kotlin and Swift for Mobile Apps. PHP with Laravel for backend. Adobe XD for design and wireframe.

A project manager was assigned as a key point of contact. Apart from that We have worked with their BA, UI/UX Designer, Android & iOS Developers, System Architect, and QA

Both Android & iOS application was completed within 3 months from the initial starting date. This includes wireframe, design, development & testing.

They have followed agile methodology. For easy communication, we used Basecamp. All the resources working on the project report directly to their respective Project Managers and the Project Managers report directly to us. We use to track their progress via Webwork Tracker.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their mobile app development skills, project management, and time management were outstanding. They had all the knowledge about UX and implementation. They were very patient with us and walked us through the entire process and guided us in making informed decisions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Status reports on each stage of the project could have been helpful.

we can share all the screenshot of the application showing all the screens of the application.

It was spot on. We never faced any communication challenges.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I came to i-Lanam Technologies with a requirement to build an online cricket skill gaming app with a tight timeline of 3 months and a reference of an already establish application.

Not only they created the application as per my request but also impressed me with their timeliness. The team is well behaved and have a good understanding of requirement and always open for feedback. It was the best decision to go with this company for my mobile application development.
