I am the COO for a startup that is using nervous system intelligence to improve the human condition on our shared planet. We use or license our technology to cases that are within our ethical goals of applying science toward human good and societal welfare.

We had already deduced the hard and software system for neural state measurements and implemented an algorithm on Python. We hired HUSPI to help us develop the idea further.

HUSPI began by creating our system architecture. It was a complicated one because, as a startup, some of the parts are unstable. They also designed a web dashboard with data visualization from the algorithm output, user settings, and session settings. The dashboard included bulbs that changed color depending on several data variables from six different body parameters. HUSPI gathered all the data and video for every session and made graphs to correlate with video timelines. They used a variety of technologies, including React, Redux, Core UI, Node.js, Noble, and PostgreSQL.

What was the team composition?

The team composition varied with the level of development. We received an initial consultation from a senior IT project manager, then a system architect built the structure. Two developers and one project manager completed all subsequent development work with part-time support from a DevOps team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Not everything went perfectly, but we eventually received a system that real therapists could use in live sessions to gather user experience data.  

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We began with Jira, but with a short project length and some unexpected detours, we rather quickly opted for more direct communication via phone, Skype, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are fully invested in their projects. They strove to understand our obstacles and bottlenecks more than we were able to ourselves. Moreover, many of their solutions were more time and cost-effective than those of other vendors we had considered. 

Are there any areas for improvement?

I would like to see them spend more time on the initial system audit because the development process often deviated from the original plan. On the other hand, HUSPI did not charge us any additional expenses for a scope that extended beyond the agreement.

Our main goal was to cut internal costs and increase revenue for our online services division.

First, HUSPI analyzed our business processes and conducted interviews to assess areas for growth. Then they recommended several technical solutions that could work for our needs. Once we made a choice, they started the integration process, which included: developing the data flow map for our future systems, re-building the supplier-chain business process, and launching business intelligence tools for monitoring real-time BIs (Business Intelligence). Our IT core system was also replaced in order to transfer data flows in accordance with the new infrastructure. Next, they made workshops for all of our business units to implement the technical changes. Finally, they launched the CRM with several new online platforms and replicated the entire process with our online team.

I’m the CTO of Easypay. We’re a payment system that allows customers to pay for services at physical kiosks and through an online portal. We also offer an electronic wallet.

Our online system was developed over ten years ago, so we needed to update it. We needed to create a web/mobile app, a B2B personal area, and a new client interface.

They developed three different solutions for us: a backend based on the Rest API with a B2B payment gateway, a custom Angular web application, and a B2B client personal area built with Angular and a Kendo UI Grid widget.

We worked with a project manager, a technology architect, two backend developers, and two frontend developers.

User engagement has increased by more than 30%, and transactions have doubled.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We used a Scrum methodology with two-week iterations and communicated over Skype and Jira. They were even willing to work in our office per our request during the final stage of the project.

Their responsible approach stood out to us, as did their FinTech and frontend development experience (especially in Angular).

My only suggestion would be to hire more resources.

I’m the CTO of Reha-Stim Medtec AG. We develop scientifically well-founded rehabilitation devices that assist therapists in their daily work. In 2017, we merged our activities with YouRehab. Our first joint product is a VR-based arm and finger training system. HUSPI was hired to enhance the existing software with a reporting system and introduce multi-lingual capabilities. They’ve also been tasked with developing a migration utility to move data from one to release to the next.

Our initial goal was to develop a reporting system, and the second was to speed up our in-house development with additional Unity resources.

The reporting system development was a sort of test project. Due to high satisfaction, we’ve agreed to additional work packages.

The reporting system was built with Xamarin and works with training data stored in a MySQL database. Currently, they’re enhancing our basic game system, which is purely developed in Unity using C#. They’re also fixing existing bugs throughout the system.

We work with one full-time resource and add additional resources when necessary.

They’ve sped up the development process and improved the quality of existing parts of the software.

We mainly manage the project using Jira and Skype. Occasionally, we’ll travel to Kiev and visit them in-person to discuss details.

We hired HUSPI for mobile app development. We needed to create an app that could track emotional health statistics and calculate forecasts. HUSPI provided UI/UX design for the app (using Figma), its development (React Native), as well as backend development (node.js). The goal was to help our users to improve their quality of life by tracking their psychological health and being able to prevent problems before they happen. The users enter the initial information themselves, but then the app analyses the input and provides forecasts.

HUSPI developed an e-commerce website for MedNex from scratch within 3 months. Due to numerous integrations - Warehouse Management System (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Customer Relations Manager (CRM) - this website became a very powerful tool. We also have integrated online payment solutions.
