The measurable outcomes of this development were that our new system allows to onboard new reviewers faster and provides real-time statistics and reporting. As a result, we can scale our business.

We are satisfied with the project management provided by Huspi. First, we were suggested to do the inception phase, when we had a chance to discover all the specific details about the product we wanted to build. Second, after finalizing all requirements, we have started the work.

Huspi has created a transparent and productive workflow, where the assigned project manager has given us a chance to receive great products on time and within a reasonable budget, Moreover, the project manager was explicitly interested in delivering not the most expensive but the best solution, suggesting us alternative options of how the business requirements can be handled.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

First, I value transparent and clear communication with Huspi. It helps me to understand all the processes and dive into the world of software development. Second, I am impressed by the way Huspi is interested in the success of this product. While their responsibility was to deliver a working system, they have always been suggesting to us ideas of how the product can be better and better.

Third, I was surprised by the way Huspi handled all the challenges they faced during the full-scale war against russia. Last winter, the company faced radical issues with the russian attacks on the critical infrastructure in Ukraine that caused problems with the light and internet connection. However, Huspi immediately found a way to reduce all the risks of such a situation and provided all the needed work on time.

We were able to develop some websites and PoCs for the Web3 stuff and validate the hypotheses that we had regarding this product. Besides this, we also have other projects that we are working on together.

Both our in-house team and outsourced HUSPI team have project managers that discuss the tasks ahead and set priorities. The tools we use are JIRA for task tracking, Google Meet for meetings, and Slack for communication.

The app should have had the admin panel in order for the content managers to independently manage any part of the app. We needed map functionality, interactive elements for AR, 360, audioguides, gifs, text, photo and video content easily manageable

Chornobyl App includes: full information about the history of the disaster, undisclosed materials, fakes around the topic, art and events about Chornobyl, interactive map with all locations within the Exclusion Zone incorporating AR and 360 features, exclusive guides to the zone with audioguide, and a separate block in the app that would help a user get ready for the travel itself.

I am Advocacy and Communications Specialist at UN Women Ukraine. In 2014, UN Women launched a campaign to engage men and boys as agents of change for gender equality - HeForShe, a solidarity campaign for the advancement of gender equality. What were your goals for this project?

As a part of promotion of HeForShe in Ukraine, for the second time a HeForShe Arts Week was organized by UN Women and a central part of the Arts Week was an augmented reality app with 14 artworks by Ukrainian women artists. We wanted to create a mobile platform, that makes art available anywhere in the world. The solution we ticked is AR gallery of works of contemporary Ukrainian women artists (1909-2019) with integrated video, audio and text guides for each picture.

We received a recommendation and this vendor agreed to develop the project in a short timeframe.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcome was successful and the app was launched on time. The most unexpected and impressive impact was the heightened attention to the AR gallery and the key Arts Week activity during the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated quarantine, with restrictions on all cultural activities within the country. In such an environment the virtual gallery was still available for users around the world in Play Market and Apple Store.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Given the scope of the project, we didn't use any tracking systems except the initial timelines, which were executed in a timely manner. We used direct communication via group instant messengers, offline meetings and phone. HUSPI team was always available for inquiries.

We tested and received the final version of the application on a tight deadline, so the speed of development was impressive.

The goal was to display production planning and sales processes of a large plant in a similar user interface.

HUSPI provided full-cycle development for a product planning and sales operation module of an internal system for factories. They integrated it with our client’s internal IT solutions. 

The system was done on Angular 4, Java Spring, REST API, HTML5, and Oracle. Also, they provided DevOps support, including Docker, Apache Tomcat, TeamCity, CI, Windows Server 2016.

What was the team composition?

The starting team consisted of two middle developers, a project manager, and a DevOps specialist. Then, we added one more developer and a QA engineer. For support, we still have one middle Developer, a QA engineer, and a project manager on a part-time basis.

The system was implemented and successfully works for one of our clients, and HUSPI still provides support.

We work via Jira using a Scrum methodology. Communication is organized via Skype. Management is very reliable. They respond to every request in a short timeframe; it doesn't matter if it’s a holiday or weekend.
