Health, Wellness & Tracking Application: We are scoping to build an application for the users, which will allow users to register to the app, add their details, manage their E-journal, create notes, medical conditions, health details, medicines, and they will be able to add calendar to remind and send alert according to their noted schedule. The app will notify and remind users to follow the routine. Admin will be able to manage everything performed on the platform from the Back-end Panel. 

Admin can post digital courses for the users. Users can view and ask for wellness coaching, which will be managed by the admin. Users will be able to purchase the books from the bookstore of this platform. Users will be able to get one-to-one sessions with meditation trainers. Additionally, the app is to track hydration, mood, self-care activities, and more. The app was to be launched on February 14, 2023.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the beginning, Flynaut would provide XD designs, and we had regular virtual meetings to understand my concepts/designs. We also operated off Monday.com, email, and Google docs/sheets. Once the app had been built, I received builds that I would download, review, and provide feedback on both via email as well as on our weekly virtual meetings.

I'm on my third project manager, and no, they have failed to meet deadline after deadline. I have email upon email with promise after promise that the app will launch on xx date. As delivery dates have come, I've asked for timelines and a plan of action, only to have been met with false promises that the work is nearing completion.

Many times, the team was out due to a holiday, or I would get some other technical excuse as to why the app wasn't progressing - for example, notifications weren't working because there was an issue with my dedicated server that was causing issues with the time zones. 

Multiple times when I asked for something, a new build, a timeline, phone or virtual meeting with Shadab (partner/CEO), they would tell me when I would get it, and then it wouldn't happen, but instead, they would send me a new build hoping that would satisfy me. And since I was just wanting a finished product I kept falling for their antics.

I loved that they were a USA-based company in NC. I was thrilled at their appearance of having an extensive level of expertise. I appreciated their payment plan option - giving 30% upfront and paying a monthly rate without interest.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Flynaut LLC could have done differently?

Provided my application within the contracted time frame. Or as close to it as possible. They could have responded to requests, provided appropriate timelines, and followed through on their commitments. They could have honored my request to pause payments (April 2023) until the app launched. They could have provided me with an adequate discount for being over a year past the launch date and still not having a finished application.

From concept initiation and site organization, Flynaut has set realistic schedules and have met those completion dates. Currently we are past the wireframe phase and have moved into the coding phase UI design phase. Our schedule is set for full launch in September.

Flynaut agreed to rebuild my website to exactly what I wanted and they had no issue with creating the quote tool even though I continually told them I thought they should research the project and make sure they could handle it. The first few months were very rough. It started off great they pitch the project beautifully made me feel like part of the team had the first meeting and it was great and then everything went downhill and it became very apparent.

They could not handle this project 14 months later I’m still trying to get the project completed. I get email responses about once every six days and there has been nothing really done to my site in over six months. They’ve made some small update changes but I am still not live, and I do not have any content from Flynaut. They have provided me with nothing.

However, they won’t refund my money they keep trying to tell me that there are no refunds if I’m quitting the project although at 14 months later it sounds like they’re not doing the project so still nothing and this is a very simple website very little content, the quoting tool I provided all the information and even the coding for them and they still can’t complete it.

The CEO who is very good at the beginning and even six months and promised to get it done keep in mind they told me they would finish this project in six weeks and that was in February 2022. He’s made multiple promises to get the project done and failed miserably.

It wasn’t until later when I read reviews on their website and other places that I realized it was their employees leaving the reviews all the people I’ve dealt with names were on the review left on line so I paid them over $2000 and I have nothing in exchange in over 14 months. They even told me once that they weren’t used to dealing with customers who had as much knowledge of website and coding as myself they were used to dealing with people who had no idea what was going on.

However, they haven’t even completed the basic website yet. It’s not the quotation tool alone that they’re failing at; they can’t even create a very basic website and keep in mind I have 14 months of emails and conflicts and back-and-forth about this project. All documented very well and would be glad to share that if anybody needed more information.

As far as the scope of work they were supposed to rebuild my website, give me analytics take that website live create a quoting tool that could read certain number of files and provide a instant price to my customers implement shipping methods for that product and needless to say they have done none of that.

As I mentioned, they still have not delivered the project so my response to this is a very poor project management that might be the absolute worst part of their company the project manager assigned my project has the least amount of knowledge about what is going on with the actual site I’ve asked her 19 times to provide me with a list of features that still remain to be completed and though she felt like we’re complete and she cannot do it because she has no idea what’s going on.

Also, keep in mind this company is not based in the US today I have not met one single person, or spoke with one single person in the United States past my very first interaction with a young man who quit shortly after.

This company wants to give you a theme based in WordPress and tell you you’re responsible for the contents and that’s it and they want to charge you about $5000 to do that.

Flynaut LLC built a mobile app for us. First, we drafted a master service agreement that detailed the project timeline and the features I wanted them to deliver.

We divided the project into several stages, starting with the design process. They delivered a design, and I approved it. Then, the Flynaut LLC team began building out specific features. They developed it for iOS using Swift and Android using Java. The app was connected to AWS servers and Google Maps API.

Finally, we arrived at the testing phase. We had several users beta test the app to look for bugs, which Flynaut LLC would fix accordingly. 

The app’s core features were the ability to have group chats with nearby users and send private messages. Users could send images as well. Additionally, they could toggle the interface to be in light or dark mode.

Aside from the app, Flynaut LLC also created a website for me. They handled the entire process, including writing copy and designing graphics.

I haven’t shared the app with many people yet. However, the users who tried it already liked the way the app worked and looked. The frontend, in particular, was very functional.

They did an excellent job. Flynaut LLC was very communicative throughout the process, so we had regular back and forths through email. We also had occasional Zoom meetings. 

We initially set the timeline to take place within 5–6 months, but it ended up taking two years, which wasn’t their fault. I asked them to add features that weren’t in the initial scope, and the project was also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Overall, I didn’t mind the delay. Flynaut LLC did a pretty good job of managing the project and sticking to deadlines as much as possible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Flynauts LLC was a great team, and I enjoyed working with them. The owner was extremely hospitable and professional. Everyone I worked with was super friendly, so I had a lot of fun during the process.

The documentation I provided wasn’t as detailed as I wanted it to be, so the team went out of their way to help me with the ideation process. The cost was also very reasonable.

They could’ve asked more clarifying questions.

Define your requirements very well before the start of the project. Having a well-fleshed-out plan will help Flynaut LLC produce better deliverables.

Flynaut is helping me develop my app idea. I initially thought the engagement was only going to be about coding the app’s functionalities and designs, but I’ve extended their involvement to get the full suite of their services. This includes social media marketing, content writing, and a post-launch marketing strategy.

The app has a notification and payment system within, but they’ve also implemented Google Pay so users can have more options.

I’m working with more people than I probably know, but I believe I’ve talked with about 6–7 people from their team.

I found them through Clutch. I was previously working with another developer, but it didn’t go so well. I chose to work with them because they showed me that they wanted my business — Flynaut put more attention into getting my business and showed me that they really care about their clients. Our ongoing partnership started in July 2021. We’re adding more features beyond the initial scope, so the timeline has been extended.

Their project management is good as it runs quite smoothly. The people involved all share the same mentality and culture, and they’re all very professional.

I normally communicate with them through Zoom.

I’m impressed with their confidence because it tells me that they know what they’re doing. Not only can Flynaut create the functionalities of the app, but they can provide me with a diverse range of services outside of app development.

I’m a tough critic, but the way they handle their clients is amazing and I was impressed.

There isn’t much they could improve on, as I’ve been really happy with their services. Although, it would’ve been better to have a face-to-face meeting in the beginning, just so we can have a better idea of the project and gain more comfort.

I would suggest being upfront and ask about the services that they’re offering. I had to find out the full suite of their services along the way, which would’ve been great to know during the time they were still trying to get me as a client.

At the beginning of the development project, we built out a features list, wireframes, and design. Their team managed the front- and backend work of the mobile app, as well as the desktop version. They’ve even developed the website and landing pages and hooked them directly with our CRM system.

This app would allow people to book and search for healthcare professionals in their area, through a GPS tracking feature. On the other side of it, the professionals are able to set their own schedule through a Google Calendar integration, as well as their own pricing. The app is compatible with Android and iOS and as far as the software they’re using to develop the app, they’re using AWS. 

Apart from that, they’ve also been providing us with app store optimization and within that, they’ve done blogs and social media postings that have since stopped to work on the app’s MVP.

We work with a project manager, quality experience representative, head developer, and CEO.

We had a list of 50 different developers to contact, and ended up going with Flynaut because of their professional and customer-driven approach. They took care of everything from the start, so we assumed that it would reflect in the services they were going to provide for us.

So far, we’ve invested around $60,000–$80,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in October 2020. We have a fixed contract so once the features of the app are built, we’ll move forward with maintenance and updating.

The feedback we’ve been getting from our customers is mostly positive, citing its user-friendliness — which is the most important component we wanted going into the project. The feedback from the providers is also positive, saying it’s very attractive, simple to use, and provides them with a lot of options.

How did Flynaut LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

When it comes to building an app, we tend to have a lot of bugs until it’s complete. We use Monday to manage the project and communicate with them. They’ll address issues once we post them on the software and so far, this process has been really easy.

We try to stay on track with our deadlines in the sense that they’ll complete a lot of what we’re working on. The other aspect of it is some builds might take longer than expected, but they’ll still keep open communications with us. If something needs sorting out quickly, they’ll usually do that on the same day, so they’ve always been flexible and available to our needs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their ability to figure out how to apply what we want in the build and implement it successfully. They’re not just focused on developing the best product, they’re also focused on making sure it’s applicable to the business and what the customer wants.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have a good comparison with other development companies, so I can’t say if they’ve done anything bad or had a negative impact on the project. Flynaut handles the delays quite well and we maintain open communications with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say, come to the table with an in-depth idea of what you want and how you want to operate. When you’re building an app, you don’t necessarily think about the intricacies of the process on a granular level, but that would actually help make the development smoother — if you have an understanding of what you want, you’ll get things done a lot faster.

Flynaut LLC is developing my iOS/Android app from scratch. We had multiple meetings in the beginning to make sure that we were both on the same page. I wrote out my ideas from my head on paper, and they agreed to build it on their end. Now, they’re still working on the product under our NDA.

Simran (Project Manager) is my point of contact, and Shadab (Partner & CEO) sometimes joins our calls. He’ll often ask how the project is going just to make sure that everything is good, and I feel like we have a solid personal relationship.

I searched for app developers on Clutch, browsing through companies with good reputations. After I put in my requirements, several companies reached out to me, including Flynaut LLC.

Flynaut LLC gave some great scenarios of how we could work together and were accommodating to the fact that I was a self-funded startup. I’d also called some of their past clients who all said good things about them. Because of that, I moved forward with their team.

Although we’re dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak, they’ve still managed to work remotely with us and have gotten my product so far. We’re now on a test flight on The App Store. They do what I need them to do, and I plan on having them manage my app afterward because they’ve really proven themselves.

We use Zoom calls and regularly check in with each other, so it feels like a personal connection. If I have any concerns, they’re good about responding to me. 

That was something I really appreciated in the beginning. We had an early miscommunication that was upsetting to me, and both Simran and Shadab talked me through it. They understood my history with my previous vendor and wanted to make sure that they never made me feel uncomfortable with a decision.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d have to say that it’s the personal approach. Despite the fact that we’re an American-based company and they’re engineering out of India, we’ve been able to maintain communication through Zoom calls. There are no issues with language barriers, and it almost feels like I could drive up the street to see them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I expected us to be a little further along at this point, but I think I should take some of the blame for that. They’ll sometimes hand me something to review, and I won’t have time to sit down and tackle it because of other things in my life. 

We still have several months to go before my product release. But, as of now, I’m happy with where we are in the project. They’re doing everything that I anticipate them doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do let anyone push you into making a huge decision — do the research to figure out if a company is the right fit for your needs. 

I really liked that Flynaut LLC took the time to explain how their process works and introduce me to Shadab. I was wary of the pricing at first since it’s so different from US-based costs, but Shadab helped me understand that their success comes from staying within people’s budgets.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the president of Indelta International. We provide patient-safety and medical leadership training, online and in-person, on a global scale.

What challenge were you trying to address with Flynaut LLC?

Our challenge was that we had, what I describe as, the world’s worst website, at least in the Western Hemisphere. We needed to update and modernize it. We’re a resurrected company that was formerly shut down in 2011. Our platform hadn’t been updated since.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Flynaut completely revamped our website. We had a good concept, but the messaging and look was wrong. They took all our basic information and objectives and then designed the entire platform. We worked iteratively until we finished the job.

What is the team composition?

I worked with a number of people including the CEO, project manager, and lead developer.

How did you come to work with Flynaut LLC?

I conducted a Google search looking for web developers in my area. This led me to a link of the top 10 companies. I went through and called each vendor one-by-one. My phone call with Flynaut stood out because they were significantly cheaper and more time-efficient than the others. Where companies were saying they’d complete my project in three months, Flynaut said they'd do it in one. This shorter timeframe and lower expense was by far the best choice.

How much have you invested with them?

I invested around $3,800.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began and finished in February 2020. Flynaut completed everything in a remarkable 10 days.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t completely launched the website yet because of COVID-19. However, everyone, from our investors to our friends, has given incredible feedback on how much they like the website.

I recommended Flynaut to a startup that had been trying to launch for eight years. The startup thought their project would take 6–8 weeks, and Flynaut completed it in three-and-a-half days, start-to-finish. They’re absolutely brilliant. The CEO just knows what he’s doing and provides incentives to complete projects faster and with high quality. I haven’t seen anybody else do that.

How did Flynaut LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management process is the best I’ve seen in decades. We agreed to all the work and received a project manager. She was available 24 hours a day. Their developers are mainly in India, but Flynaut did a brilliant job of navigating the time difference. Whichever developer is working on the engagement works in the time zone of the client, therefore our developer worked from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone.

IT has always been a bane for me. Flynaut completed everything at a significantly faster pace and lower price than I could’ve possibly imagined. They made no mistakes, and if they did it was because I gave them the wrong input. They were absolutely amazing.

No, there are no areas that need improvement.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be sure to go in as clear as you possibly can in regard to your needs and expectations. Flynaut does a fantastic job of pulling out tangible concepts. Upon initial contact, I simply asked them to modernize our website. From that, they pulled out what they needed to effectively implement my goals. The planning stage would’ve been easier if I had come in with more specific ideas, however, they still worked with me.
