Empat redesigned the existing website, giving it a more
modern and user-friendly look. We then moved on to developing the new site in Webflow. The most challenging part of the project was building a custom admin panel to manage the addition of books and to streamline communication with suppliers.

Thanks to Empat’s technical expertise and excellent project management, we were able to quickly grow our client base with well-known private and public companies. The percentage of users who stayed with us after onboarding exceeded our expectations.

The management team at Empat consists of a Partner Manager, who we communicate with in the very early stages. They then introduce us to the Project Manager and the Delivery Manager. All communication is fast and transparent. The Delivery Manager regularly collects feedback on the performance of both the Project Manager and the technical team. The Project Manager, in turn, provides consistent updates, flags any potential bottlenecks in advance, resolves issues quickly, and responds promptly to messages. Overall, our team was very satisfied with Empat’s approach.

The scope of our work for the Kuka App project was quite comprehensive. We started by designing the user interface and user experience of the mobile app. Once the design was finalized, we developed the app using Flutter, a versatile framework for building mobile applications. On the backend, we utilized Laravel, a powerful PHP framework, to create the server-side logic and APIs needed to support the app's functionality. 

This included user authentication, data storage, and communication with the mobile app. For data storage, we set up a MySQL database to securely store user information and other relevant data. We also implemented Redis, an in-memory data store, to improve the app's performance by caching frequently accessed data. To ensure the app's real-time capabilities, we integrated Firebase, which provided features like real-time database updates, notifications, and cloud storage for user-generated content. 

In addition to the app itself, we deployed it on an Apache web server to make it accessible to users. We also used Bitbucket for version control and collaboration among our development team. A big part of the project was the integration of an AI research engine. Key Deliverables: 

1. User-friendly mobile app with an intuitive design. 
2. Backend infrastructure developed with Laravel, including APIs for app functionality. 
3. MySQL database for secure data storage. 
4. Redis caching for improved performance.

Received updates almost daily on what specific functions/pages they were developing. It was easy to track the timeline of the project and they were very communicative with any problems encountered and corresponding solutions being implemented. They involved me with every decision big or small. The app came out on time and exactly as discussed since there were frequent updates and collaborative conversations about the end goal.

They were extremely communicative, responsive, and professional. I could not recommend them enough. We met at the beginning of each week to discuss what was being worked on that week and address any obstacles/decisions. After each meeting, they provided a summary with notes and a recording of what was discussed. Additionally, at the end of each week, they provided a detailed summary of what had been completed, issues they encountered, and solutions implemented. Aside from the weekly meetings, we communicated daily through Slack and they were always available to meet virtually as necessary for more detailed conversations.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

We came to Empat with an idea to build a system to help recruiters better optimize their time with the first leg of talent search - CV matching. Current systems lack the customization functionality and require recruiters to manually filter out CVs before the first round of interviews. 
We had a business process figures out because it's the industry our team knows best and we needed someone to create a very simple interface to have as little onboarding  friction as possible. Empat was highly regarded here on Clutch and was one of the vendors we reached out to and eventually went with them.
They have successfully provided us with the product design and the initial MVP that we are now testing with a pool of selected pilot customers.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Considering that we only had the business process ready (no user stories, no UI/UX, and no clear defition of what an "MVP" would be) I was impressed  with the fact that we were almost perfectly within the timeline and the budget. 

We finished the designs in just 1 iteration due to the proactiveness of Empat team and the MVP took us some time to be built (since we had to finalize the feature list) but we ended up only 1 week over initial 12 week estimate, which in the world of software development is as good as it gets. 

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

We had weekly meetings with the project manager and in the beginning we had daily calls with the lead designer. Overall the communication was very smooth and our vague project description was broken down into clear features and deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Empat seems to have a very hardworking team. The guys were available outside of normal working hours and were happy to help. We sometimes send messages over the weekend (without an expectation  that someone will respond to them) but got answers few hours later. That's very impressive.

Our experience with Empat was very smooth. Maybe the initial paperwork could have been done a bit faster, but it was an minor issue
