They were tasked to convert provided UX/UI Designs into code/a working app. The developed the server-side of the mobile application including designing/implementing APIs, creating and managing databases, and ensuring scalability and security.

Received updates almost daily on what specific functions/pages they were developing. It was easy to track the timeline of the project and they were very communicative with any problems encountered and corresponding solutions being implemented. They involved me with every decision big or small. The app came out on time and exactly as discussed since there were frequent updates and collaborative conversations about the end goal.

They were extremely communicative, responsive, and professional. I could not recommend them enough. We met at the beginning of each week to discuss what was being worked on that week and address any obstacles/decisions. After each meeting, they provided a summary with notes and a recording of what was discussed. Additionally, at the end of each week, they provided a detailed summary of what had been completed, issues they encountered, and solutions implemented. Aside from the weekly meetings, we communicated daily through Slack and they were always available to meet virtually as necessary for more detailed conversations.

We came to Empat with an idea to build a system to help recruiters better optimize their time with the first leg of talent search - CV matching. Current systems lack the customization functionality and require recruiters to manually filter out CVs before the first round of interviews. We had a business process figures out because it's the industry our team knows best and we needed someone to create a very simple interface to have as little onboarding friction as possible. Empat was highly regarded here on Clutch and was one of the vendors we reached out to and eventually went with them. They have successfully provided us with the product design and the initial MVP that we are now testing with a pool of selected pilot customers.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Considering that we only had the business process ready (no user stories, no UI/UX, and no clear defition of what an "MVP" would be) I was impressed with the fact that we were almost perfectly within the timeline and the budget.
We finished the designs in just 1 iteration due to the proactiveness of Empat team and the MVP took us some time to be built (since we had to finalize the feature list) but we ended up only 1 week over initial 12 week estimate, which in the world of software development is as good as it gets.

We had weekly meetings with the project manager and in the beginning we had daily calls with the lead designer. Overall the communication was very smooth and our vague project description was broken down into clear features and deliverables.

Empat seems to have a very hardworking team. The guys were available outside of normal working hours and were happy to help. We sometimes send messages over the weekend (without an expectation that someone will respond to them) but got answers few hours later. That's very impressive.

Our experience with Empat was very smooth. Maybe the initial paperwork could have been done a bit faster, but it was an minor issue

The goal for Empat was simple: 1. Redesign the UI/UX based on user feedback 2. Include the changes that we provided for the product pivot 3. Suggest alternatives for the pre-defined tech stack

Empat team successfully conducted a round of user interviews (searched for them, reached out to them and used their feedback) with 10 users.
The product design went through a complete overhaul that was later validated with the users.
The tech stack went through a couple of iterations and serveral adjustments were made that allowed us to save approx 20% of the MVP budget estimate

Empat was engaged in the front-end development for our project, handling a variety of tasks. These ranged from developing a new website to fixing bugs and implementing new features in the existing project.

We hired Empat to work on front-end development. Empat worked on many aspects of our project, directly addressing website functionality, optimization, and user experience challenges.
1. Successful launch of the new website. 2. Bug-free implementation of the new design and new features. 3. Smooth onboarding process for new team members. 4. Seamless communication between existing and new team members.

We didn't did not work with Empat’s project manager as we only needed a front-end developer.

This was a major project.
We are an online dating service, where service can be accessed via website and app. Our systems are delibertely more complex, as we focus on quality of membership and not mere quanitity. As such the coding is extremely complicated to not least enable as genuine membership as possible. From screening to automated reviews, complex rules between types of members etc.
Our previous IT team had just finished the very comprehensive and complex task to replace legacy of website with the language of new app. The new IT team was responsible for building a completely new app in flutter, while importantly facilitating a seamless interface with all serverside setup and technology as well as the website and website users.
Key deliverables included:
Complete rebuild of existing app with Flutter
New onboarding process and experience
Seamless integration with serverside, back-end and admin, as well as website service
Updated design
Optimized UI experience in general

Comprehensive timeline and key junctions of delivery to be met

Two different project managers. Former good, but second much better in constant communications, responsiveness and updates. Worked closely with team, timely delivering on our end (as the client) needs, updates, clarifications etc. Yes, production was delivered on time.
