I’m the founder and CEO of a fashion label company. I'm basically the main designer and creative director of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cosonas Ltd?

I needed support to build my website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cosonas Ltd has helped me design and develop a website from scratch based on the instructions I've provided. We’ve worked together on the design based on their suggestions. The team has built the site on Shopify, creating custom code using CSS. We’ve designed the interface using InDesign and Figma before implementing it on Shopify.

Cosonas Ltd is currently finalizing the website, which is around 90% completed. The team is waiting to launch it until I provide more feedback and imagery. The team has also helped me with a marketing plan for the site's launch and provided a proposal.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with three people from Cosonas Ltd, including Matilda and Salif.

How did you come to work with Cosonas Ltd?

I met Salif at a business technology show in London. Cosonas Ltd had developed an app for a friend, and I first met the team in the show. I was working on my website on my own, and I had limited knowledge of backend development, so I thought it was best to contact an expert. I reached out to Salif and contacted him to see if he could work on my platform.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around £800.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our first talks took place in March 2024, and the project started in June 2024. The engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is currently accessible with a password, and I’ve forwarded it to my peers in the fashion industry. I've received good feedback, and the website looks professional and luxurious for the product we’re selling. The site is great, and Cosonas Ltd's work process is smooth. We've had to revisit certain site elements, but the team has accomplished pretty much all I wanted.

How did Cosonas Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

I work on this project and have a 9–5 job, so it’s hard to juggle both. It's also a bit hard to arrange meetings during work office hours. The team has been very helpful in keeping track of the information I need to supply for them to complete work. Cosonas Ltd's communication is seamless via WhatsApp and Google Meet. 
The original launch date has been extended because we realized the timing wasn't right. Living in the northern hemisphere, it's going to be winter already. Targeting the southern hemisphere while not living there is quite challenging. We thought it'd be best to move the launching date to February or March 2025, and then I'll add more content to the site. Cosonas Ltd is excellent regarding timing and communication.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Salif is my primary contact and has been very accommodating and received me in their office after working hours. Salif arranges meetings after work office hours at no extra cost. He’s dedicated and driven.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed with Cosonas Ltd's flexibility. The team has compromised their timing to accommodate my availability. We’ve worked on weekends and after-work office hours, and I don’t think this would’ve been possible with any other company. Cosonas Ltd's flexibility is beneficial; it would've been very hard for me to complete the project if it hadn't been for it. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything at the moment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prepare what you want exactly when engaging with Cosonas Ltd. I didn’t factor in certain elements at the beginning of the project because this was my first time working with a web development company, and I didn’t have everything written down. Define the brief clearly, and Cosonas Ltd will deliver.

What challenge were you trying to address with Cosonas Ltd?

We needed someone to develop and host our website. The site's goal was to increase leads, showcase our work, and present to our funders what we've done with our resources, including proof that we've organized events.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Cosonas Ltd has designed and developed our website and provided hosting. They've also provided us with a domain. The team has built the site according to our instructions. The team has helped us add photos to our site and added a volunteer registration feature to help with our work. Currently, Cosonas Ltd provides us with website maintenance and support.

What is the team composition?

We mainly deal with the president of the company. I'm unsure how many teammates are involved in the background.

How did you come to work with Casonas?

They were a referral.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with Cosonas Ltd, we’ve seen an increase in guests and volunteers, even more than we can cater to. Our funders are also very happy with our reports and what’s on the website. They’ve given us more money, which we wouldn’t have gotten if we didn’t have the website. The site is also nicely designed and contains many picturs showing our interactions with our guests. We’ve seen a 20–30% increase in leads.

How did Casonas perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver on time and within budget. They also communicate well with us via email, phone calls, and an in-person meeting at an event. Since we're a charity organization, Cosonas Ltd has given us a discount, which shows corporate responsibility towards their community. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We’d like to give high marks to the president of Cosonas Ltd. He’s a very kind man.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Cosonas Ltd has been very helpful and worked really hard. They've done everything by the deadline and quickly. They've also had self-initiative and helped us with things we didn’t know existed. 

They first helped us get on Google and with our databases, which they suggested. Additionally, Cosonas Ltd has gone the extra mile by attending one of our events as volunteers on Christmas Day to see how they work and learn what they need to do. Overall, they're very good — we're happy we got the recommendation and chose them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re not very knowledgeable, so whatever they do surprises us in a positive way.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Use them. They’re very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to learn about your project so they can create a better design.

We have had a productive partnership with Salif and Cosonas over the past two years. Our College has had three students complete their T Level industry placements with Salif.

The students gained hands-on experience in a real-world setting, which is invaluable for understanding the practical applications of their studies.

The students have working on actual projects would have helped them develop both technical and soft skills, such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

They had the opportunity to build professional relationships with industry professionals, which can be beneficial for future job opportunities.

Exposure to the industry can help students make informed decisions about their career paths and areas of interest.

Successfully completing a placement can boost their confidence and readiness to enter the workforce.
