Capital Numbers was hired to make a custom website that will incorporate all of the functions and features we had to provide as a business and doing it with the correct design.

We searched online for web development vendors and after diving deep into a couple of them, we liked capital numbers the most.

We had a kickoff meeting, where we submitted some design ideas and what the pages should look like, the developers then made the designs that went perfectly with what we had in mind.

a project manager was our main point of communication, but there was a designer and a full stack developer on the team.

We ended up not launching the website.

We liked a lot the fact that you have your own team dedicated to your project and that you could hire a capital number employee individually for a rate.

We’re developing a small website based on where a person is located geographically, and our platform is fairly similar to Yelp. I’m running our company’s PR and I also work as a project manager.

What challenge were you trying to address with Capital Numbers?

We were working in WP Engine and we were trying to figure out how to connect the payment that our users make on our website to certain administrative positions or permissions. If we would be able to do that, we could allow our users to utilize our platform without giving them complete backend admin access. Overall, we weren't sure how to connect the money coming into the website to the things that we needed the website to do.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We only had the framework for our website when Capital Numbers came in. The main problem they encountered was building our user account system that would function the way we wanted it to function. The team already completed our first project, but we still have a couple of other projects for them.

We spoke to five people from Capital Numbers, but we ended up having three dedicated people assigned to our projects — two developers and one person in charge of logistics.

How did you come to work with Capital Numbers?

We researched different teams on Google because we didn’t want to deal with a single freelance developer. As a result, we searched for a professional team that could offer us affordable services. When we saw Capital Numbers, they seemed like they were a good fit.

We spent over $2,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from September–October 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Capital Numbers solved our core problem, and the user account system was well-integrated into our site. We didn’t go public yet, but internally, everybody enjoyed using what the team had developed.  Overall, we were completely satisfied with what they did.

How did Capital Numbers perform from a project management standpoint?

Our partnership had been pretty seamless. They did everything without overwriting anything else that we completed on our side. We used Teamwork as our project management tool.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team was very professional in how they dealt with our project’s issues. Everything was put together — almost like a military operation. We appreciated that they made it very clear from the get-go that they wanted to get all of the information they could have from us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Capital Numbers worked with some pretty big companies. As a result, their onboarding and preparation stages were extremely thorough. I knew why they needed to do that — they didn’t want to start working unless they were completely sure about what they needed to do. By doing so, they wouldn’t have to do double work. 

However, even though I was aware of why they were doing it, I still hope they could streamline their onboarding and preparation process. Despite everything, Capital Numbers was very quick and efficient when they finally started doing their work.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you understand what needs to happen with the project instead of being very vague about it. If you understand what needs to be done, but you don’t know how to do it, Capital Numbers is capable of understanding and achieving your goals.

We’re a US startup that wants to develop and sell a piece of software for lending money.

What challenge were you trying to address with Capital Numbers?

We needed software developers to help us with the development of our product.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Capital Numbers is building our software. It allows users to get loans online in a few minutes.

Initially, we just provided the designs in Photoshop and all of the logic behind how the loans would be distributed. Then, Capital Numbers started coding everything in Python, HTML, and CSS, implementing that logic into the software processes. Additionally, they created an administrative panel to manage the software’s backend.

What is the team composition?

We work with Sasanka (Project Manager), two backend engineers, and two frontend engineers.

How did you come to work with Capital Numbers?

I found Capital Numbers through online research. I discovered that they were extremely thorough, and they had the ability to understand the nature of the project.

They went in depth with all of the project’s intricacies, and they asked us a lot of great questions that allowed us to develop a great logic behind the product. This was possible due to their past experience working with fintech companies, which helped us a lot as well.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere between $25,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in April 2021, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Capital Numbers successfully finished the first version of our software, and we’re currently testing it. Additionally, we’re already starting to add new features to it for future versions. The people on our team who have tested it have given us really good feedback about it.

How did Capital Numbers perform from a project management standpoint?

Scheduling-wise, Capital Numbers has been absolutely incredible. Even when there have been schedule changes, they’ve maintained strong time management. We’ve added features on the go, but they’ve been able to estimate how long those requirements would take accurately, and they’ve stuck to that timeline.

As with any other development project, there have been some bugs. However, Capital Numbers’ ability to identify the bugs and fix them really makes them stand out from the rest. Most issues have been addressed within 24 hours.

Capital Numbers’ communication is also very strong. We communicate through Google Meets, WhatsApp, and Slack, and they use a project management tool on their end. Overall, Sasanka and his team have worked very hard on this project, and we look forward to keeping working with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Capital Numbers’ best quality is their ability to dig deep into the projects to build them using the right technologies. Now, we have a very strong product, and we’re very excited about its upcoming launch.

From the beginning, Sasanka has been a key player in this project, but the whole team has worked really hard to understand the problem on hand in detail and meet the deadlines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although no one is perfect, and I’m sure that there are some things they could improve, nothing particularly comes to mind. So far, it has been a really great experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Take the time to go through your entire project and scope definition, and understand, from your end, what you’re trying to build in detail. Having everything defined clearly will help you a lot.

They work very hard to make our project successful. They have not stopped working to meet our goals even when it was difficult.

Working a very busy schedule I sometimes was delayed in feedback to Jag and Soham. They always were patient with my schedule.

I interviewed many web development companies, however the Sales lead from Capital numbers really took the time to understand my concept and ensure with proof that his company would be able to deliver a viable product.

After launching our site we had some minor bugs to work out however we have successfully sold many vehicles and the platform is an exciting place to browse.

The work required the team at CN to create a scheduling system with API integrations to our Electronic EMR as well as payment gateway. It also required initial intake forms to be filled and submitted once the patient makes an appointment along with capabilities of signing consent forms.

Since the project went live, we have seen 50-60% increase in the number of new patients. It has reduced our paperwork by half.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were very pleased with the results. The team provided three different themes, including colours, gradients and object sizes for us to choose from. We made a choice and then refined it a little thereafter. There is no question that the new design is superior to the old by some margin.

The workflow was very effective. We got responses at a suitable pace and I felt the team listened well to any concerns and quickly addressed them.
