The team handled the complete mobile app development cycle. This included wireframing, UI/UX design, backend integration, and thorough testing to ensure security compliance. Key deliverables included a fully functional iOS and Android application, integration with our internal reporting systems, and an admin dashboard for ongoing management.

The app has been successfully rolled out to our clients, and early adoption has been excellent. Internally, our advisors can now provide faster updates and more transparent reporting, which has improved overall client satisfaction.

This dashboard serve's as a centralized platform for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), facilitating proactive management and optimization of WordPress sites.

I don't think so it all went pretty smooth and we learned alot from the whole process.

We are a auditing / secret shopping company. I'm the CEO/Owner of Nsite Inc. We do evaluations on our clients to help improve sales through better customer service.

For what projects/services did your company hire Black Dot Technologies LLC, and what were your goals?

We have done many upgrades with Black Dot. One was to figure out how to use our current system to become an auto-emailing system and get around all the SPAM issues that happen.

Plus a system that would allow the end user to self assign and pick up jobs that work in their schedule. Basically we streamlined a very arduous process which helped save time AND money.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I heard of them through a friend that had used them on their website and were extremely happy.

We have a system that was designed back in 2003 and the company that designed it didn't really have a good vision or even a grasp on what we were trying to accomplish. They built a system that was not really forward thinking or even user friendly on many levels.

Through the years we have used Black Dot to change that. They have taken our system and made it so that we work more efficiently and they have given our site multiple face lifts to keep us fresh and competitive with our competition.

We have had multiple programmers working on our site but Mohsin has been our main contact.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

As stated previously, we have saved time and money with the upgrades that we have done with Black Dot. They reviewed the system, looked at how to improve it and given us multiple options. Believe me, the self-scheduling module they created has saved us as we have grown.

Black Dot always stayed in communication with us throughout the project(s). We were given updates and screen shots to review so we could see what was happening and given options to change things throughout the process(s).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I appreciated the most was the fact that they could take our old system and make it new and updated the back-end systems. I was feeling like we were stuck with a system that just wasn't going to be enough. They came along and changed all that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think overall, no. They kept us up to date on where we stood, let us know pricing and the amount of time we were looking at. If they stick to keeping the client up to date with progress reports, they will be fine. I also think their pricing is fair overall.

I’m an artist and writer, and my company is Emerald Green Productions; it allows people to license music I’ve composed and musicals I’ve written.

What challenge were you trying to address with Black Dot Technologies LLC?

I needed their expertise to create a professional website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Black Dot Technologies LLC developed my website and collaborated with me to execute the UX/UI design. We went through a month-long process where they interviewed me, and I sent them my ideas and examples of websites I liked, per their request. I showed Black Dot Technologies LLC how I wanted the pages organized and which icons would lead users from one page to another; I even had a color scheme in mind and had written the website copy. 

They developed and designed the site based on my artistic vision, incorporating their own ideas and recommendations to improve the UX/UI. I reviewed their progress to make sure everything translated over from my wireframes correctly. We worked together to select the font for the website. I didn’t like the first font they designed, so Mohsin (Managing Partner & CTO) set up a meeting to show me other fonts, and we found the one that really struck me.

I have four musicals and an opera listed on the website. I wanted users to hear the music right away. Black Dot Technologies LLC listed the name of each musical on the site’s home page with a brief description and a selection of songs users can listen to. Users can click on a musical they’re interested in to navigate to its designated page. The pages include theatrical photos, music, and icons enabling users to request a perusal copy or license. If they click one of the icons on the home page, they’ll be taken to a contract they can fill out to apply for licensing. 

In the next couple of months, I plan to have Black Dot Technologies LLC add another musical to the site, and I’ll work with them again if I have any technical problems with the site or need to make changes. I also plan to ask Black Dot Technologies LLC to provide site metrics, which were not within the scope of this project.

Mohsin was my point person, and he had teammates developing and designing the site.

I looked at reviews and past work of web development and design companies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I found a company that was too busy to take on my project and connected me with Black Dot Technologies LLC.

We spent $5,800.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in January 2022, and we launched the website in July 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Friends who’ve used the website love it. I’ve been on enough websites to know which are user-friendly and which are not — I’d been using other companies’ websites to license musicals before this project. My site is exactly what I wanted; users can browse through the site very easily without getting lost.

I don’t have any site metrics and haven’t advertised the site since it serves such a niche audience — college theater departments and community theater troupes in the US.

How did Black Dot Technologies LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

They were professional, met all deadlines, and completed every task they said they would; they were impressive.

Mohsin was phenomenal at project management; he listened to me and understood what I was looking for. I sent them pictures of wireframes in Microsoft Word. They were very receptive to my feedback throughout the project. I could tell them that one part worked beautifully, but I didn’t like how something else was set up. Mohsin’s customer service was incredible; I was really happy with the entire process.

We mainly communicated over the phone and via Zoom calls, where he’d screen-share the website and ask for my feedback.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were patient and incorporated my vision. I know they hadn’t worked on a website like mine before. They were excited to take on the project because it was different. 

I had no technical background, so I needed a company that really knew what they were doing; Black Dot Technologies LLC was collaborative and respectful. They offered helpful suggestions, and we respected each other’s talents and ideas. Working with them was a wonderful experience.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did everything really well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I definitely recommend sending examples of websites you like. Find the style you’re looking for, even if you can’t pinpoint what you like about it. Also, be as organized as possible in documenting what you want. Having an artistic vision and copy for the site ready ahead of time helped Black Dot Technologies LLC save a lot of time.
