I researched web developers, as well as their portfolios. I conducted interviews based on my findings, and eventually settled on Azuro Digital. Azuro had many examples of clean and aesthetically pleasing websites that had already been created. When meeting with Daniel, he was able to articulate exactly what I was hoping to achieve.

Daniel was amazing during this project, he was patient and understood exactly what I was hoping to achieve. Our first few meetings we brainstormed the way I wanted the website to turn out, and the things I needed included on the site. Once this had been established he was more than willing to check in to make sure I was pleased with his work. As we were a start up company, Daniel had to wait until we had some things figured out and he was so amazing at inputting them immediately as he received the information.

Rebranded our logo along with company colours and fonts. Then redesigned the entire website with a state-of-the-art web design. Animation, high-resolution photos, and futuristic layouts.

I worked directly with the owner who was extremely responsive, and did not get annoyed by my continuous requests for minor edits. He explains it step and address every concern thoroughly, so I felt in good hands without any worries during the entire experience.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 1 month all keywords on Google have been holding my ranking at #1 organic position steadily, without any drop. Before my website would fluctuate between first to third position on the same keywords on different days. Now its just constantly #1.

Very quick to respond, even on weekends. Tremendously knowledgeable about web development and SEO. You can trust his decisions will promote your business in all aspects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They came up with a proposal on how many pages we needed and what content we should integrate into the platform. On top of that, they presented how they would build the home page’s system.

After that, they started creating our WordPress website from scratch. They created a section for job postings where people could upload their resumes and data could be stored properly. They developed a section for blogs, too. They continue to host and update our website.

We found them on a website that featured various service providers. I shortlisted three companies from the list, and we chose Azuro Digital because they offered better rates than the other two companies. We also saw that they had built many websites that had a white background and were mostly vibrant and pleasing to the eyes, and that was what we wanted to have on our website.

We’ve spent $3,000 CAD (approximately $2,300 USD) for the website, and we pay them $45 CAD (approximately $35 USD) a month.

Our ongoing partnership started in November 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re pleased with the quality of our website, especially its easy-to-navigate features. The transformation from one section to another has been seamless, and the pictures that the team has incorporated have been remarkable. More importantly, our platform is user-friendly.

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always available, quick, and responsive. We communicate through email and Zoom. In addition, whenever we ask them technically related questions, they walk us through the solutions with their videos.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Once the site has been completed, we noticed that there was one page missing. After that, Azuro Digital created that for us without charging an additional fee.

No, they’ve done pretty much everything.

I’m the manager and principal engineer at an electrical engineering company that designs electrical systems for commercial buildings. Our team also ensures that electrical contractors follow our designs. I manage our work and ensure that everything is done correctly.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our previous website was truly generic; it was made on Squarespace and wasn’t professionally done. Given that, Daniel (Founder & Owner) and Azuro helped us develop a new website through WordPress. On top of that, the team helped us with technical writing. We weren’t the most eloquent wordsmiths, so their resources took the details and facts of what we did and wrote content about them. 

We also wanted to showcase our past projects on the website. To do that, we did multiple FaceTime meetings with Azuro to go over what we wanted. Our organization offered professional services in the construction industry, so we aimed to make everything look fancy. With that in mind, we focused on putting up many images of our past projects to show customers that we were competent. We provided the team with photographs from our past projects, and Daniel put them on the website. 

Moreover, the design process was collaborative. We talked about things like color schemes — we wanted copper color since it was related to buildings and the electricity that ran through them. Our teams used the same process for the layout; Daniel showed us a couple of templates while I broke down the different types of projects we’ve had. We went back and forth to determine the right layout for our website, and he led the charge. 

At present, the website is live but Azuro continues to provide hosting services for us. In terms of functionality, the website works on mobile phones and computers and shows our past projects. There’s an About Us section where Azuro has put the blurbs we’ve given them. Daniel has sent us videos on how to add more projects to the website and how to tweak other things on it.

I found Azuro on Google. Their distinguishing feature at that time was that they helped me with technical writing. That separated them from other web developers; Daniel critiqued my blunt engineering writing and turned it into something readable for people who weren’t technical. That was the start of our engagement.

We’ve invested roughly $6,000 CAD (approximately $5,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We hired them in October 2021, and the website went live in January 2022. However, our partnership is technically ongoing since they do our hosting.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

People like the website because it shows a lot of our work. Users like its color scheme and the fact that it looks professional and highlights our past projects. I’ve only talked to 3–4 people, but everybody seems to think it’s truly professional, and it does what we want it to do. 

Overall, I have no complaints about Azuro’s work. I’ll recommend their services to anybody because I’m happy with them. They’ve done a good job in a timely manner. On top of that, their fee is reasonable.  

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is great. They’ve stuck to our schedule and budget, so everything has been perfect. To communicate, we use either emails or Skype. We also use Google Docs and FaceTime. Generally, we use whatever works for our communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Azuro builds websites and provides technical writing services. Beyond those things, they also have a good sense of organization in terms of how the website should flow. I can also use the website on different screens. Phones are slightly different, so the coding there is also different — they’ve done that well, too.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They’ve provided a truly great service. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want from your website. We’re essentially advertising our professional services, so the website is more of an advertisement about us instead of selling something that we have. If we were trying to sell a widget, however, it would have been an entirely different website. In other words, know what your target audience is before the engagement. That will help the Azuro team know what they have to do with the website.

Our website was about 10 years old and needed to be updated with new features for online learning and e-commerce. Our goal was to have a modern website that was easy for our customers to use and for us to manage and modify.

My partner used social media to find local web designers and interview them online. Azuro Digital Inc. had a competitive price but also allowed us to own all the content, train us on making changes to the website and be available for ongoing support. Daniel had a professional demeanor and was very open-minded to our goals. Daniel also was able to advise us of potential pitfalls down the road early in the hiring process.

The scope of work was to redesign our website with modern features and layout. from there, we needed to add a storefront. Daniel guided us along the way to choose a resource that was easily scalable. Once the e-commerce storefront was established, Daniel then helped us choose an e-learning platform that is also easy to use and easily scalable.

Once we had everything in place, Daniel provided training for us to make edits to the platform and is available for ongoing support. Daniel used WordPress for the main website and we used podia and Printful for a storefront.

We have seen a 50% increase in traffic. We just started clothing sales so we don't have accurate analytics yet and are just about to launch our first online learning product. In general, we are very happy with the performance of the site.

Daniel had great communication. He was also patient with me and my partner as we balanced daily operations with pushing the new site for its launch. Daniel would give us steady reminders of our progress or obligations my partner and I had for providing specific content.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with Daniel's ability to spot potential hazards down the road based on our initial vision. Daniel's suggested alterations resulted in a final product that far exceeded our initial vision. Looking at what we initially wanted and what we have now, we realize how much time, effort, and money.

Daniel saved us by suggesting tools for our website that will allow us to scale with time without a lot of redesigns to the website itself. The maintenance from Daniel's suggestions also saved us time and money down the road.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I have no suggestions for Azure Digital, as their performance far exceeded my expectations. There are definitely things I will change in my own approach to web design when I hire Azuro Digital Inc again for this company or my other companies, to make my part more efficient.

We’ve initially discussed our particular requirements with Azuro Digital, including the features that we want our enrolled college students to access. During this process, their team has helped us refine our user personas, marketing goals, and promotional strategies to retain our student-centric customer base once we’ve established it.

Azuro Digital built my website from scratch. The project started with a consultation call with Daniel (Founder), and he walked me through their process, pricing, and services. I also saw some of their previous work and heard great things from their former clients.

After hiring them, I had another call with Daniel, and he discussed the logistics of achieving what I was looking for within the business and website. I gave him my vision of how I wanted my website to look, and he put together everything in a straightforward process. There was minimal input from me throughout the whole experience. 

Azuro also designed various pages on the site, and they also introduced me to all kinds of features. Additionally, they helped me get my logo done by giving me suggestions of companies to consider for the project. They made the process so easy, even though they didn’t do the design themselves.

Currently, Azuro is providing SEO and site maintenance services. Whenever I encounter issues, I call them, and they’ll get it done within 20 minutes. They also update the site for me — if I have a new menu that I’m going to use within the next few days, they’ll upload that to the site.

All my clients tell me the reason why they chose me instead of my competitors is because of how good and professional my website looks. I can say confidently that my site looks amazing. I’m getting a ton of traffic, and the site’s quality played a huge factor in that. 

I’m delighted with Azuro’s work. I can’t see another developer doing it as they’ve been able to. They executed far beyond what I expected.

Azuro is attentive to detail. The way they’ve broken down the project’s cost has been great. Everything has come together quite well.

We found them on the Kijiji platform and the deciding factors were the initial consultation and the rapid response on emails and inquiries.

The work was complete within a very short period of time. The website looked very professional and the guidance from Azuro was very valuable. Content was written by Azuro and all of the required SEO and background tasks were complete without us being involved.

Azuro took charge and executed the project without issues, within the timeline, and with great results. Azuro exceeded our expectations. They are very knowledgeable in this field.

Management style is flawless with electronic contracts, zoom meetings, shared screen, and phone calls. Very good.
