What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?Not sure they were metric measurable, but the tasks were done. We moved from one CMS to another, the Chatbot and forms went from zero to now used and the overall look and feel went from the 90's to 2020s. Usability is still something we will measure but with the additions, they should improve. We also did a great deal of work together to change the overall organization and wording on things, which will also help usability. But 1 week in and no problems is a pretty good sign. Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?Communication with the Azuro Digital team was key throughout the process. Our approach was pretty hands-on and hands-in. If we sent an email or asked for a meeting, things were handled almost immediately or within 24 hours. If there were issues of holdup or slowness, it was definitely on our business side. What was your primary form of communication with Azuro Digital?Virtual MeetingEmail or Messaging AppWhat did you find most impressive or unique about this company?Having direct access to the designer was beneficial. There were days when our staff and Azuro worked on site at the same time, and in some cases, on video calls together. They aslo had to work with 2 other vendors (a server host and webdevelper not typical to their usual work) to make things work. It was complicated at times but through the process, Azuro were the more helpful ones and worked to find solutions rather than making others cater to them. Are there any areas for improvement or something Azuro Digital could have done differently?Not that I can think of.

We handed over all our content to Azuro and asked for it to be done within a tight timeframe (after some long delays!). They were open and honest in all communications and met the deliverables. We found them to be flexible with timing and very communicative and prompt with feedback/responses.

Cassandra refreshed our logo and provided a lot of iterations for us to choose from this was part of the initial scope and was delivered on time.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They are fast and efficient; Daniel is especially easy to do business with. I researched a number of companies before deciding to go with Azuro Digital. Daniel’s openness and technical aptitude (gets down to business, without all the waffle!) suits my style. They use a combination of tools – scheduling time with them is easily done online through scheduling system so I can choose a time that works for me.

They set up a shared folder in Google drive so we could easily upload and share materials. Cassandra created checklists for tasks and asked for feedback on items when our instructions were not clear. Cassandra made the whole process easy!

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their flexibility, transparency and responsiveness. Any and all questions are answered, and they do all they can to keep their client happy. We are still making changes (after our site went live). Azuro Digital has been very accommodating to all our needs.

As with any big project, there were a couple of things that could have been done differently, these were discussed and handled with Daniel and Cassandra along the way. After meeting, we didn't have much to discuss as we were certain they would be able to get the job done and make our vision of the new site come to life. We were able to receive a proposal within the next week, and met to discuss the details of the site. We then received our first draft of the design within a month which was fantastic!

We were looking to transfer a majority of the content from our previous site, to the new one. We did have to work through the outdated content and remove it completely. Cassandra was very helpful and ensured all the correct content was carried over. We met several times over the course of the project to discuss what had to be done. Cassandra started with providing us a first draft of the design and theme to make sure we liked it, and once approved, she was able to move into the other pages and various departments and schools that needed to be transferred over. She was able to completely modernize our site which was so refreshing for us to see. Cassandra also provided checklists for us so we knew what had to be done on our end for her to complete the project. This was extremely helpful as there was a lot to go through on the site, and having it broken down into a list helped us stay organized.

Daniel and Azuro are committed to professionalism and great customer service. We were most impressed by the unlimited revisions and meetings available to us throughout the project. Daniel is very knowledgeable in his field and he is also very willing to research new technologies to meet particular needs. For the future, with client teams new to this type of work, we suggest a review of their timelines to be sure they are realistic and specifically address content loading, archiving and old site shutdown. Our previous website was truly generic; it was made on Squarespace and wasn’t professionally done. Given that, Daniel (Founder & Owner) and Azuro helped us develop a new website through WordPress. On top of that, the team helped us with technical writing. We weren’t the most eloquent wordsmiths, so their resources took the details and facts of what we did and wrote content about them. 

We also wanted to showcase our past projects on the website. To do that, we did multiple FaceTime meetings with Azuro to go over what we wanted. Our organization offered professional services in the construction industry, so we aimed to make everything look fancy. With that in mind, we focused on putting up many images of our past projects to show customers that we were competent. We provided the team with photographs from our past projects, and Daniel put them on the website. 

Moreover, the design process was collaborative. We talked about things like color schemes — we wanted copper color since it was related to buildings and the electricity that ran through them. Our teams used the same process for the layout; Daniel showed us a couple of templates while I broke down the different types of projects we’ve had. We went back and forth to determine the right layout for our website, and he led the charge. 

At present, the website is live but Azuro continues to provide hosting services for us. In terms of functionality, the website works on mobile phones and computers and shows our past projects. There’s an About Us section where Azuro has put the blurbs we’ve given them. Daniel has sent us videos on how to add more projects to the website and how to tweak other things on it.

I found Azuro on Google. Their distinguishing feature at that time was that they helped me with technical writing. That separated them from other web developers; Daniel critiqued my blunt engineering writing and turned it into something readable for people who weren’t technical. That was the start of our engagement.

We’ve invested roughly $6,000 CAD (approximately $5,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We hired them in October 2021, and the website went live in January 2022. However, our partnership is technically ongoing since they do our hosting. 

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

People like the website because it shows a lot of our work. Users like its color scheme and the fact that it looks professional and highlights our past projects. I’ve only talked to 3–4 people, but everybody seems to think it’s truly professional, and it does what we want it to do. 

Overall, I have no complaints about Azuro’s work. I’ll recommend their services to anybody because I’m happy with them. They’ve done a good job in a timely manner. On top of that, their fee is reasonable.  

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management is great. They’ve stuck to our schedule and budget, so everything has been perfect. To communicate, we use either emails or Skype. We also use Google Docs and FaceTime. Generally, we use whatever works for our communication. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Azuro builds websites and provides technical writing services. Beyond those things, they also have a good sense of organization in terms of how the website should flow. I can also use the website on different screens. Phones are slightly different, so the coding there is also different — they’ve done that well, too.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They’ve provided a truly great service. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Know what you want from your website. We’re essentially advertising our professional services, so the website is more of an advertisement about us instead of selling something that we have. If we were trying to sell a widget, however, it would have been an entirely different website. In other words, know what your target audience is before the engagement. That will help the Azuro team know what they have to do with the website.

Once we had everything in place, Daniel provided training for us to make edits to the platform and is available for ongoing support. Daniel used WordPress for the main website and we used podia and Printful for a storefront.

Daniel's suggested alterations resulted in a final product that far exceeded our initial vision. Looking at what we initially wanted and what we have now, we realize how much time, effort, and money.
Daniel saved us by suggesting tools for our website that will allow us to scale with time without a lot of redesigns to the website itself. The maintenance from Daniel's suggestions also saved us time and money down the road.

After hiring them, I had another call with Daniel, and he discussed the logistics of achieving what I was looking for within the business and website. I gave him my vision of how I wanted my website to look, and he put together everything in a straightforward process. There was minimal input from me throughout the whole experience. 

Azuro also designed various pages on the site, and they also introduced me to all kinds of features. Additionally, they helped me get my logo done by giving me suggestions of companies to consider for the project. They made the process so easy, even though they didn’t do the design themselves.

Currently, Azuro is providing SEO and site maintenance services. Whenever I encounter issues, I call them, and they’ll get it done within 20 minutes. They also update the site for me — if I have a new menu that I’m going to use within the next few days, they’ll upload that to the site.

I’m delighted with Azuro’s work. I can’t see another developer doing it as they’ve been able to. They executed far beyond what I expected.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They were a great team that facilitated a pretty seamless project. When I initially asked them for website ideas, they came up with concepts right away. Azuro Digital’s turnaround time whenever I asked for any site updates was also highly impressive. They usually had everything finished and ready for review within a few hours of me asking. 

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was perfect. Azuro Digital was a team of effective communicators who responded quickly. They also stuck to the deadline and budget that they promised us when we signed on. To communicate, we used Calendly to set up meetings and Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly. Whenever I requested changes to the site, they were always quick to accommodate me and make those changes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had to write most of the content ourselves because they weren’t immigration experts. However, I understand that it was a niche market, and at the end of the day, I preferred to do my own content writing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In terms of the design of the site, know the direction you want to go in. If you have a concept in mind, it will save time and energy because they can get started immediately. They’re great at absorbing that information and translating it into a web design.

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Daniel was awesome about sticking to our project schedule and budget. We communicated via email, Zoom, phone calls, and text messages, and he was excellent at communicating fluidly. He did a great job of keeping me updated on what actions he was taking and how far along the website was. If I wanted to tweak or change any work that he was doing, he always gave me opportunities to do so without complication. 

It seemed like he really matched my preferred business style — if I had liked emailing more, I think he would have done more email, for instance. Daniel was super flexible to meet how I liked to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I really liked was his attention to detail and his flexibility to adjust what he was doing. He never took offense to any of my suggestions, and he made any requested changes within the same day that I asked. 

I would recommend Azuro Digital to everybody — in fact, I have already sent their name off to quite a few people.

The team gave us the pros and cons, what works and what doesn’t, what looks better for SEO, and so on. They also made recommendations for marketing it, but we decided to focus on development at the time. When we came to a decision, they took what we discussed and proceeded with the development process.

It was an iterative process, so we had the team change some sections and images along the way. They also added a contact page. Finally, we got to a final product that looked and felt the way we wanted it. Azuro Digital then applied some final touches and made sure that the backend wasn’t broken anywhere. Once everything was working fine, they launched it.

Azuro Digital was able to capture my vision for the site. I was really happy with their expertise and what he brought to the table. I was really happy with the connection we had. While we were developing the website, I would send him emails throughout the day and he would always respond to me at like 6:30 the next morning — there was never a delay in response. This was a huge factor when we’re dealing with companies.

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Our main point of communication was through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was very impressed with his accountability and his response time. He was very professional and their response time was unbelievable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I was really happy with everything he’d done and I didn't experience any issues. I previously worked with another company that I was really unhappy with — we had a lot of back and forths for months. When I came upon Daniel, we just connected right away. He knew exactly what I wanted, and we were always corresponding so I could see what he was doing.

 

His degree of structure management of the site was also very good.

Before working with Azuro Digital, you have to have some degree of your own vision. Daniel just understood how I wanted my site to be laid out. My advice would be to explore different sites to have some type of outline for him to start with.

 

Maybe the project was done so quickly, because I already knew what I wanted my website to look like.

Azuro Digital has helped us to create our website from scratch. In the beginning, I told them what we were looking for and wanted to have on it. We just gave them a clear picture of what we wanted, and they started working on it.

Daniel (Founder & Owner) has been in charge of the whole process. As I didn’t know anything about the detailing business or about creating a website, I just provided the information that I needed to be on the site and let him run the whole project.

Daniel came back to me during the development to check if everything looked like I wanted. We went back and forth with the feedback, but I ended up leaving it all in his hands. One of the few inputs I provided was that I wanted him to use royal blue, as it is my father’s favorite color.

He implemented plug-ins for the functionalities. Bookly was implemented for appointment scheduling, and Stripe for payments. He developed the site using Elementor and implemented MailChimp.

Inforce Life’s old website primarily targeted the end customer: the person who actually buys the insurance. As a result, Inforce Life’s entire website needed to be restructured, and it was also in need of a facelift to make it more visually appealing. That’s where Azuro Digital came in to help.

Gump Training approached us with an issue that we hear all too often: they initially hired a different web design company and were left with a website that they absolutely despised. Web design and development for InHaus Cooking, a private dining experience in Ottawa.
InHaus Cooking’s luxurious brand needed a website to match. The design needed to be elegant and simply stunning, with an emphasis on Michael, his achievements, and his award-winning dishes. His website needed to be 100% unique, unlike anything else in his industry. InHaus Cooking also needed a new logo that portrayed the same luxury brand image. Aside from conveying information about Michael and his achievements, another key requirement of the website was to create a “sample menu” page that beautifully displays some of his key dishes, and this page needed to be easily editable by Michael himself – for whenever he needs to update the menu items. For this reason, the website needed to be built with very simple tools.

### COCO Tile (Web Design)
Web design and development for a flooring company in Ottawa, Ontario.
Coco Tile had a website that was very slow, and the design was outdated. They wanted to make the website look more professional, while also speeding it up dramatically. The main reason why their previous website was loading so slowly is because they had a large quantity of images in their gallery sections throughout the site, and they didn’t have proper image compression in place. Another key component of this project was to maintain their high rankings on Google. They were already ranking #1 on Google for several important keywords such as “tile contractor Ottawa”. It was essential to build their website in a way that wouldn’t jeopardize their current rankings. Our goal was to not only maintain their current rankings, but also to improve their SEO performance to distance themselves even further from their competitors and prevent anyone from overtaking them.

### University of Texas at San Antonio (Web Design)
Web design and development for UTSA's DRS Program
The University of Texas at San Antonio was looking to design and develop a brand new website for their Developmental & Regenerative Sciences PhD Program. As the nature of their work is highly innovative and cutting-edge, they needed a website to reflect and reinforce that fact.
After evaluating many web design agencies that aligned with the innovative nature of their brand, UTSA's marketing team decided to partner with Azuro Digital.
The primary goals for the website were to implement a cutting-edge design that creates an immediate WOW factor, provide a seamless user experience, and motivate visitors to apply to the program (optimizing the conversion rate).
We launched the website in October 2022 with the right solutions and measurable results:
- The website has received exceptional feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The design is receiving rave reviews and is currently a hot topic among UTSA faculty.
- Comprehensive analytics have been integrated and are showing that the website's conversion rate is higher than we anticipated. We expected a conversion rate of 3%, but the website is converting at a rate of 5%, meaning that 5% of website visitors are submitting applications to the program. The client is ecstatic about the bottom-line results that we've produced.


### Siddhartha’s Intent (Web Design)

Siddhartha’s Intent had an outdated website. They wanted to build a new site with better design and additional features to make the site more useful. The old site had a large amount of content and it was difficult for users to access the exact content they were looking for. It also lacked some key functionality such as donation processing, event registrations, forums & more.
We evaluated SI's needs & implemented solutions that exceeded expectations and improved the operations and profitability of the organization:
- We built a "content library" containing a search function and numerous filters so that users can filter by content category, medium, language, date, & more. This significantly improved the user experience and has ultimately increased the average amount of time that a user spends on the website by over 60%.
- We created a flexible "donations" section allowing users to make highly customized donations. Users are able to donate a custom amount and select a specific "cause" for their donation, allowing their money to be sent to a specific region and/or activity. Users also have the ability to make recurring donations, allowing them to automatically donate on a monthly basis. This feature has increased the volume of donations by over 90% since launching the new site.
- We built an event registration process, making it easy for users to register and pay for tickets online. The old site didn't include any online registration process, which created a lot of tedious administrative work. Our solution has dramatically reduced their operational costs.
- We created a community forum, allowing their members to effectively communicate in a central location with various "threads" for different topics. This has increased the value of membership.
- Many of SI's "sister organizations" admire SI's new website and have asked us to redesign their websites as well.


### PRS Toronto (Web Design)

PRS Toronto's old website had an unprofessional design, a confusing user experience, and simply wasn't producing the results that they wanted. Specifically, it was difficult for users to filter through the directory of therapists, find the right therapist, and contact the perfect therapist for their needs. They wanted their website to be more interactive, ultimately leading to a better conversion rate. They also needed to maintain (and improve) their SEO rankings.
Here's how Azuro Digital met and exceeded PRS Toronto's expectations:
- We created a stunning design that has received a ton of praise from PRS Toronto stakeholders and clients. The improved design has also created a more streamlined user experience and a stronger conversion rate.

Web design and development for Children's Resources on Wheels (CROW), a childcare nonprofit.
CROW was looking for a better user experience and a better design on their website. They also wanted a robust events calendar so that users could easily filter between different events and sign up.
That's where Azuro Digital stepped in:
- We created a design and a user experience that increased the percentage of visitors that convert into leads. Since launching their new website, their conversion rate has doubled.
- We created an events management system that makes it easy for CROW staff to add events by themselves in the backend, and the events calendar is visually appealing and user-friendly on the frontend.
