Pegasus Imagery is a technology company delivering intelligence and data solutions to the Emergency Management and Public Safety sectors. The company deploys long endurance Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) integrated with high capability sensors to provide actionable information in real-time for first responders and emergency managers. My role as Business Development Manager involves finding clients and submitting proposals.

We hired Azuro Digital because our old website was very rough around the edges and was not properly branded. Daniel was able to build us a brand new website in Wordpress and gave it a great design.

Craigslist! Got to chat with a few freelancers and Daniel was by far our first pick. He was extremely professional and did a great job of getting to understand our needs. He subsequently gave us a very comprehensive and simple look at what a project timeline would look like with Azuro - we love how he built out the outline right there on the call with us.

We met with Azuro Digital a few times to lay out exactly what we were looking for, and asked for feedback and advice on our vision. Our pages were built out one at a time to ensure no details were missed, and to do iterations of each layout. Daniel implemented features on our website such as an integrated illustration/design, a password protected page, and figured out many other work arounds to make our requests possible.

Our project is not complete yet but we have been seeing an increase in inquiries from people in different sectors who have come across our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Azuro Digital designed and developed a WordPress site from scratch. We first gave them a general idea of what we were looking for, along with some documentation. They then created the color scheme and logo, which went through a few iterations. Although we provided most of the written content, they also conducted some research and content writing for the site. Lastly, they optimized the content. 

Azuro Digital finished and delivered the site already, but they continue to maintain and host it for us.

I was googling for agencies in Ottawa and found Azuro Digital. They were highly reviewed on various review sites, so I reached out to them and set up a Skype consultation. I chose them because I was impressed with his presentation and the ideas they had for the site.

The project lasted from August–September 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They were a great team that facilitated a pretty seamless project. When I initially asked them for website ideas, they came up with concepts right away. Azuro Digital’s turnaround time whenever I asked for any site updates was also highly impressive. They usually had everything finished and ready for review within a few hours of me asking. 

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was perfect. Azuro Digital was a team of effective communicators who responded quickly. They also stuck to the deadline and budget that they promised us when we signed on. To communicate, we used Calendly to set up meetings and Zoom calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed by their ability to communicate effectively and respond promptly. Whenever I requested changes to the site, they were always quick to accommodate me and make those changes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had to write most of the content ourselves because they weren’t immigration experts. However, I understand that it was a niche market, and at the end of the day, I preferred to do my own content writing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In terms of the design of the site, know the direction you want to go in. If you have a concept in mind, it will save time and energy because they can get started immediately. They’re great at absorbing that information and translating it into a web design.

I’m very happy with the product that they delivered. I’ve already seen an increase in engagement across other social media platforms from my new website. 

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Daniel was awesome about sticking to our project schedule and budget. We communicated via email, Zoom, phone calls, and text messages, and he was excellent at communicating fluidly. He did a great job of keeping me updated on what actions he was taking and how far along the website was. If I wanted to tweak or change any work that he was doing, he always gave me opportunities to do so without complication. 

It seemed like he really matched my preferred business style — if I had liked emailing more, I think he would have done more email, for instance. Daniel was super flexible to meet how I liked to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I really liked was his attention to detail and his flexibility to adjust what he was doing. He never took offense to any of my suggestions, and he made any requested changes within the same day that I asked. 

I would recommend Azuro Digital to everybody — in fact, I have already sent their name off to quite a few people.

No, I have zero complaints.

Start working with them now! I think that Daniel would be able to take on any project, regardless of the size.

Our website was approximately 10 years old and we wanted to modernize it and also add some new features. We were thrilled with the plan that Azuro Digital came up with and impressed with how they worked things through from start to finish.

From the time our website launched, we have been surprised by the number of new clients that have been coming to us.

Our team lead spoke with us almost every day as it was being built. There was plenty of interaction with constant updates and they kept us aware of all changes as they were being made. Extremely efficient and timely throughout.

Our website was built well and is attractive and quality through and through. We were very happy with what Azuro Digital built for us.

Our website had a little bit of copy that we wanted to update after it was launched. We were very happy with the amendments to the copy that they helped us with.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Azuro Digital designed and developed a WordPress website for us. We first had an initial phone call to discuss our ideas of what we wanted to see and what we wanted to avoid. The team gave us the pros and cons, what works and what doesn’t, what looks better for SEO, and so on. They also made recommendations for marketing it, but we decided to focus on development at the time. When we came to a decision, they took what we discussed and proceeded with the development process.

It was an iterative process, so we had the team change some sections and images along the way. They also added a contact page. Finally, we got to a final product that looked and felt the way we wanted it. Azuro Digital then applied some final touches and made sure that the backend wasn’t broken anywhere. Once everything was working fine, they launched it.

The team actually reached out to me. We happened to be in the market, so I gave them an opportunity to sell their services, and I liked what they had to say. I also wasn’t happy with my previous designer, so I gave Azuro Digital a shot.

We’re still developing content for the site.

The website looks really professional. I’ve received at least two inquiries a week through the site despite there being no content published yet.

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m not knowledgeable about website design and development, so they’ve provided invaluable guidance throughout our project. We communicate through email, Zoom meetings, and phone calls. Since our engagement started when we were working from home, they even integrated my child into the Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re open to incorporating my ideas and creativity into the final product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They’ll make me do some of the tech-related tasks I wouldn’t normally want to do so that I learn to do them myself. It’s not fun in the short term, but definitely good for me in the long term.

Be honest and open. They’re open to criticism. If you hide your feelings you’ll be hurting yourself and them.

Initially, I was looking for somebody who would be able to understand and get the proper feel for who I was. Because it’s a therapy website, the feel and theme for the site are really important. I had some conversations with Daniel (Owner & Founder) and he really caught on quickly to who I was and what my vision was for the website.

Daniel was in charge of the development and design of the WordPress site. I provided some content and photos of myself, and he brought in all the other photos for the site.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Azuro Digital was able to capture my vision for the site. I was really happy with their expertise and what he brought to the table. I was really happy with the connection we had. While we were developing the website, I would send him emails throughout the day and he would always respond to me at like 6:30 the next morning — there was never a delay in response. This was a huge factor when we’re dealing with companies.

How did Azuro Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Our main point of communication was through email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was very impressed with his accountability and his response time. He was very professional and their response time was unbelievable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I was really happy with everything he’d done and I didn't experience any issues. I previously worked with another company that I was really unhappy with — we had a lot of back and forths for months. When I came upon Daniel, we just connected right away. He knew exactly what I wanted, and we were always corresponding so I could see what he was doing.

His degree of structure management of the site was also very good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Before working with Azuro Digital, you have to have some degree of your own vision. Daniel just understood how I wanted my site to be laid out. My advice would be to explore different sites to have some type of outline for him to start with.

Maybe the project was done so quickly, because I already knew what I wanted my website to look like.

We searched several options for web design and found Azuro offered the best solution.

We had a needs assessment meeting to determine the goals of the project. From there Azuro took over the project and delivered the components in a very timely and professional manner. Our site was designed on the WordPress platform.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The goal of the site was to deliver content that was visually pleasing, quick to load and easy for the visitor to navigate. All of those goals were met.

We had regular meetings as needed. We preferred to use shared google docs to track the progress and it all went very seamlessly.

I had struggled to create the site on my own with WordPress but found out quickly that it was beyond my capabilities. Azuro was able to take over the project and deliver my vision with minimal management on our part.

My father and I started a new business recently. We’re a mobile vehicle detailing service. Instead of clients bringing their cars to a location, we have detailers come to them and clean their cars.

We needed help to create a website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Azuro Digital has helped us to create our website from scratch. In the beginning, I told them what we were looking for and wanted to have on it. We just gave them a clear picture of what we wanted, and they started working on it.

Daniel (Founder & Owner) has been in charge of the whole process. As I didn’t know anything about the detailing business or about creating a website, I just provided the information that I needed to be on the site and let him run the whole project.

Daniel came back to me during the development to check if everything looked like I wanted. We went back and forth with the feedback, but I ended up leaving it all in his hands. One of the few inputs I provided was that I wanted him to use royal blue, as it is my father’s favorite color.

He implemented plug-ins for the functionalities. Bookly was implemented for appointment scheduling, and Stripe for payments. He developed the site using Elementor and implemented MailChimp.

Currently, Daniel helps me with changes and updates to the site because I have no background in web design. I constantly go to him for help, and he gladly does what I ask for.

I went online looking for someone to create a website for us so we could start up the business. I believe I came across Daniel in Kijiji and saw he had good reviews. I noticed he was young and he was a redhead like me, so I wanted to give him the opportunity. I reached out to him and told him what we were looking for with our website. He sent me three video references of his work, and what I saw impressed me.

We started working together in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Daniel’s work has been awesome. The site is now up and running, and people can now go in there to book appointments for our services. However, I don’t have any metrics on the performance or the results yet.

It’s hard to define the impact of the engagement because the site was developed when our business was also starting. We don’t have any previous performance indicators to compare with.
