The project was to design, build, and deploy the entire multi-platform ecosystem for us, spanning high-performance hybrid mobile applications for iOS and Android, a responsive marketing and early-access web portal, and a scalable backend infrastructure with a custom administrative management console. 

The app provides peer-to-peer equipment rentals, including ID verification workflows, localized ZIP-code proximity search, calendar-based booking, integrated digital payments and deposit escrow, and in-app messaging. 

The build required embedding custom AI and computer vision modules into the core product architecture: automated photo-to-listing generation, a dynamic seasonal pricing engine, intent-based natural language search, automated pickup-to-return photo condition comparison, and proactive AI security screening to block bad actors before bookings occur.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered a functional, early-access Web portal alongside production-ready iOS and Android builds on schedule, allowing us to start rolling out our Fort Worth launch. 

The automated photo-to-listing feature slashed item setup times down to under a minute, and it arrived just a couple days after the agreed date.

The AI screening and photo condition-checks received positive feedback across early neighborhood testers. 

Getting a complex hybrid app and backend live without critical bugs on designated time was the proof that we picked the right team.

My point of contact was Dovrat. The internal Slack server was made for this specific project, with channels for separate areas of the project. The communication was timely, she was responsive and knowledgeable, and they were showing me progress on meetings. I didn't have insight into their project management system first hand, they used ClickUp internally. The deliveries were all on time, except the AI screening feature, which had to be pushed back couple weeks due to the extended testing.

They were friendly, very professional, and experienced which showed the most when they understood the scope and provided specific directions and additions that would make the user experience better when registering their equipment.

I'm really happy with the service and have recommended it to friends. If I would nitpick, a bit more proactive documentation in those initial planning sprints would have saved a few back-and-forth alignment calls. The team adapted quickly, kept communication transparent and delivered what was promised.

During the research phase, we identified several inefficiencies in our content workflow across our properties. In particular, we discovered that the same photos were sometimes being edited and approved twice because it was unclear which version was final, which was causing unnecessary delays.AppMakers USA helped us establish a clearer process where each piece of content has one owner and one approved version. Even before development, we started applying this approach internally, which made our content planning and approval process much more organized and significantly reduced confusion across our marketing team.

We didn’t track a specific number of hours saved, but we saw a clear reduction in unnecessary back-and-forth. Before the new process, team members would sometimes spend time checking which photo version was approved, who was responsible for the caption, or whether content had already been scheduled. After introducing one clear owner and one approved version for each piece of content, these questions became much easier to resolve. The biggest measurable improvement for us was the reduction in duplicate editing and approval work, which made our monthly content planning noticeably more efficient across the different properties.
