What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The new platform significantly improved the overall shopping experience for our customers. The site is faster, easier to navigate, and visually aligned with our brand. Internally, our team now has better tools to manage products and orders, reducing manual work and improving efficiency. The project also helped position us as a more modern, tech-forward company in our industry.

While we’re still gathering long-term data, early feedback has been very positive. Customers have noted the improved speed and usability of the site, and our internal team has reported smoother workflows and fewer technical issues. We’ve also seen a noticeable drop in cart abandonment during the first weeks post-launch.

Since the launch of the platform, we've seen approximately a 20% drop in cart abandonment and an estimated 15% increase in conversion rates compared to our previous platform. These early results confirm that the new experience is resonating well with our customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alluxi fully redeveloped the eMaster Contract Database, our proprietary PGPC tool for browsing and printing cooperative contracts. They migrated all of our historical contracts and offered data from the legacy system into the new platform, which was completed with zero data loss and uninterrupted user access. Users can now quickly locate State, ADE, ADOT, MOHAVE, OMNIA, SAVE, GPPCS, and 1GPA contracts using multi-field search across keywords and categories. The updated site is fully live, and Alluxi is currently providing ongoing maintenance and helping us create new features.

By easily accessing existing cooperative contracts, unnecessary bidding processes are avoided, which immediately translates into dollar savings. We’ve also seen a 40% reduction in the time staff spent on contract tasks.

We saw a clear increase in employee engagement, higher participation in internal initiatives, and a noticeable drop in turnover rates within the first few months of launching the app. Within three months of launching the POSCO U&I app, employee engagement in internal programs increased by over 40%, and turnover rates dropped by nearly 25% compared to the previous quarter. 

Employees responded very positively. Many mentioned that the app made them feel more recognized and motivated. They especially liked the ability to earn and redeem points for real rewards and appreciated the social features that made internal communication more enjoyable.

What challenge were you trying to address with Alluxi?

We needed someone to develop a custom-built solution.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Alluxi provided the architecture for the MVP using AWS. They did everything related to DevOps. They mounted all the servers with AWS and an AI system they developed. They used Python for the backend; we didn’t have to do much. 

On the other hand, the plug-in was a collaboration; they did one part, and we did the other using React Native. We also used MySQL and MongoDB for the databases. Overall, Alluxi handled the architecture, and we delegated tasks using the Scrum methodology. Even though we were the client, we shared responsibilities, and Alluxi guided us through the sprints.

What is the team composition?

We closed the deal with Gustavo (Founder & CEO), who always accompanied us. Sandra (Business Developer) was our project manager; she guided us through all the tasks. Additionally, we had two developers and a data scientist.

How did you come to work with Alluxi?

We talked with over 20 companies in Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, and the US. Alluxi stood out for their level of support and service. They were perfect for our purposes as an independent company. 

Overall, Alluxi provided the most value. Although they weren’t the most affordable, they were the ones that provided the best value in methodology. They were open and organized about how they would build the MVP.

We’re a traditional company moving towards technology; it’s been challenging for our partners to open their minds to everything. However, we’ve arrived at that point thanks to this development project. Alluxi developed the MVP in less than six months, a record time.

We're unable to share goals, sales, and user acquisition.

How did Alluxi perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of communication, Alluxi’s methodology was spectacular. We used many tools besides Jira and WhatsApp, and the team was super open and available to answer doubts.

Moreover, the team was very professional and committed to the project. We never saw a negative side regarding deliverables. Sandra spoke clearly from the beginning and met deadlines. If we asked them to do something in less time, they respectfully told us why it would take that long. Alluxi guided us through the planning and the timelines.

Regarding budget, they weren’t the cheapest. We saw some offers for less than $15,000, but Alluxi’s value wasn’t in terms of money. We even negotiated with them, and they were open to lowering the price.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Gustavo was open-minded and good at problem-solving. His support was very personalized; he always guided us on where to go, which we never saw with other developers or software companies. He immediately answered and programmed a meeting when we wrote to him. 

Moreover, we always felt he put in extra effort to solve our problems. For example, he took some roles that weren’t on the contract but provided them to keep the project going.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our company always talks about work culture and values. One value we have is going the extra mile, and Alluxi did it. Some things weren’t included in the contract, but they took additional responsibility to help us finish the project. Overall, Alluxi brought their knowledge and unlocked everything that was blocked.

No, I didn’t see anything negative. Our whole experience was positive.

I recommend constant communication with the team. Gustavo has a lot of knowledge, but you must ask him questions and communicate with him.

Provide them with all the details of your designs, business processes, and other things you want. It’s important to be upfront and clear with the information you give them because they pay attention to those details and try to meet your requirements. The more designs and artifacts you give them, the easier it is for them to understand what you want.
