Agicent first used Figma to create the web design for us. Approximately nine user personas and a wide range of user types meant that the design project took two months to finish. I collaborated closely with the design team to provide them input. They then entered the deployment phase after that. Agicent went through an asset declaration phase concurrently with development, which included various accounts for the app's hosting and server details. 

During this process, they sent me testing of the application. I gave the app's internal clearance 20 days after I submitted the Uniform Appraisal Dataset (UAD) permission. Users can use the app without registering an account thanks to a feature the team designed for guest logins. Users who utilize the guest feature are limited to viewing the previous week's scores but are unable to save teams or watch real-time scores. The purpose of this function is to thrill users.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Agicent provided an extremely precise and transparent scope of work, thoroughly outlining every element they would incorporate. I was therefore able to inform them of the extra features we needed. The app isn't available to everyone just yet; friends and acquaintances who are passionate about the project and provide us with frank feedback can sign up for a waitlist. Every element they included in the scope was developed. 

Because we weren't using the right server, there were some latency problems with the app. In addition, the software has a large user base—about 50 people were using it. Now that Agicent fixed the problem, everything loads quickly. All in all, I value their meticulousness. I'd want to applaud the entire Agicent team; everyone contributed. We may also engage them for web development, contingent on our financial plan and the outcomes of the beta test for the mobile app.

During development, we made a few change requests, which led to budget adjustments and a timeframe modification. These were our own modifications; initially, we overlooked certain needs because the program had so many different kinds of users. Given our several user personas, Agicent granted us 20 days for internal app review, even though they typically give clients five days. Even a quality team was assigned to assist us throughout the internal alpha testing stage. 

After that, they introduced Slack, and I found that Agicent's team was always accessible to me during our frequent huddle calls. I purchased a Slack subscription for our internal team because it functioned so well. They gave us with a Jira bug tracker for project management. We didn't utilize Jira internally, so I shared the team screenshots I took of a pertinent bug.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their meticulousness was astounding. Their design team also impressed with their precision and speed. While some organizations offered me shorter timelines for the same scope, I believe no one else could have delivered the kind of work that Agicent produced for us. Although not all providers grasped the logic we wished to incorporate into the app, they took their time in the discovery process to make sure they knew what they needed to develop.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Agicent could have done differently?

To provide Agicent with the most precise inputs possible, consider your eyesight. Their business team attends the first meetings, and the more information you provide about your project, the more adeptly they can tailor the scope of work to your needs. Make sure you go as far as is necessary.

Agicent developed native apps for iOS and Android. Based on the market and user research they completed through interviews at the start of the project, the app's design and development proposal was created. They developed the UI/UX and used Figma to construct the app's flows, user personas, and user journeys. After they completed the design phase, we decided to work with them on the app's development. Agicent worked in tandem with our technical team to develop the iOS app using Swift and the Android app using Kotling.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Agicent met my needs, and our teams worked together perfectly. By getting access to their GitHub sources early on, we were able to see what they were working on. Our engineering teams worked well together and as a unit.

They adhered to the budget and completed the project by the scheduled deadline. Our staff had access to Monday.com, which they utilized for project management, but we never used it. We mostly utilized Slack, but I could see what people were working on on Monday.com.

I was especially pleased by the Agicent crew. I was looking for a staff with a lot of collective experience. I've encountered other contracting companies whose employees haven't worked together as much. The team's six-year collaboration is clear from their work and workflow. Our project's success was greatly attributed to the designer's ability to recognize what could and could not be developed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Agicent could have done differently?

Nothing, in my opinion, that they could do more effectively. I was worried that there may be problems, but everything went smoothly, and our link was advantageous to all of us.

Agicent is clear, articulate and proactive with their communication and approach when working with us. This helps us ensure we are meeting expected deadlines.

The Agicent team is always available to help us with any questions or concerns we may have. They are very responsive which for our team is a huge plus given the time difference. We have been VERY satisfied with this team because of their tenacity and drive to create with us. There is not one bad thing I can say because they have been able to do so much for us and exceed our expectations.

Honestly (and I would be brutally honest), we are very happy with the service Agicent has been able to provide. We have so much trust in their team and that's due to the confidence they have given us by exceeding all expectations and deliverables

I’m the CEO of a design and software development company focused on Bluetooth technology. We have a SaaS product, and we offer consulting services.

The main app that they’re currently building for us is a mobile middleware library, which includes a mobile app. The app enables simplified Bluetooth application development. They’re tasked with designing the app’s UI as well.

The app was just released earlier this month, so we don’t have any metrics available yet. But I can definitely say that Agicent’s development team has been great to work with.

How did Agicent perform from a project management standpoint?

Agicent has performed well in terms of project management. The project took longer and cost a bit more than we expected, but the delay was on our part. They’ve been very responsive to our requests, and they’re always willing to go above and beyond to meet our deadlines, provide timely support and feedback, and resolve issues that arise.

We use Jira for project management.

Agicent is a dedicated team that’s willing to go the extra mile to help us meet deadlines.

Make sure to establish frequent and clear communication with them to ensure that you’re always on the same page.

I’m the founder of Apple Pie, LLC. We’ve created the Apple Pie app, a social media application for teachers, currently available for iOS. This app functions like any other social media; we can add friends and post and share content.

I needed a team to build my app. In this time of virtual school and remote learning caused by the pandemic, we thought that this would be a valuable tool for teachers. They would be able to share resources digitally and talk about some of the challenges that have been arising in the education world.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I provided Agicent with some drawings that I had done and all of my ideas, and they built a native iOS app from the ground up for me. We worked in four stages, starting from the original design and concept.

I wanted this app to be a Facebook-style place for teachers to connect and have a profile with pictures and information about themselves. They can also post content and make friends, and Agicent added a private messaging function as well.

One of my most important requirements was that teachers could link their external social media, blogs, and resources to Apple Pie to generate money from the other things aside from education. For example, there’s a website called Teachers Pay Teachers, where teachers can upload lesson plans and sell them to other teachers that might find them useful for their classes. I wanted them to have direct links to their shops in their profiles, and Agicent was able to integrate that function as well.

As the project progressed, they added things to the app and took others away, and eventually, we released a beta version. Now, the app is finally live in the App Store. The development process was long, but Agicent wanted to get it right — I really appreciated that.

Sudeep (Co-Founder & Director of Business) is my main point of contact. I mostly worked directly with three people during the development, and I know that they were other people working on the project.

I posted on an app group on Facebook, looking for recommendations. Sudeep contacted me via Facebook, we chatted, and he told me about his company. I looked them up on Clutch, had a meeting with them, and went from there.

We started working around March 2020, and the app is now live in the App Store, but we’re still adjusting some details. As they’ve only built it for iOS, I will hire them again for the Android version.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The teachers that I’ve talked to have told me that they were appreciative to have a space to post content. However, as far as the app usability goes, we are still working out some issues. Some crashes and search problems have popped up, but the app has only been live in the store for less than a week, so we’re still finding new things to straighten out.

How did Agicent App Company India perform from a project management standpoint?

We went back and forth with ideas, and Agicent was quick to respond whenever I had a question or concern. We added and took away a few things by their suggestion, so they were really helpful in looking at the big picture; they saw, understood, and translated to me what a user might want and expect from an app like mine.

We communicate mostly via email, and we’ve had a few Skype calls. Agicent is very accommodating with the time difference, which I appreciate greatly. Additionally, we’ve talked over Facebook a few times.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sudeep is very accommodating and quick to respond, and he always wants to make sure that we’re happy with the product. He runs a tight ship — I appreciate that.

Agicent is really dedicated and committed to my project, and they believe in it. Additionally, they’re incredibly kind and patient.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I could tell that Sudeep had to repeatedly explain what I wanted to some of their team members because he copied me in emails about the same thing a few times. That’s not necessarily a reflection of the company, but of a couple of their employees. I’m comfortable enough to hire them again for future endeavors, but I might request a different team.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared to email a lot. Be organized about the list of things that you need and your expectations, and make sure to refer back to them when sending an email. I had to go back, copy, and paste some of the things that we had previously discussed, so it’s better to be organized. Additionally, the time difference can sometimes be difficult because you cannot pick up the phone and arrange a meeting, so be aware of that as well.

Stay on top of them in regards to meeting deadlines, and reiterate when you want things completed so they can get things done on time. Also, share as much detail as possible so they can develop a full vision of the project.

Correspondence has been prompt. Whenever I have questions, they offer a lot of clarity. They keep me updated on the development progress by providing notes every 3–4 weeks. We go back and forth with ideas, and everything has been on-point. We’ve had a few Skype sessions, but we communicate primarily via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m amazed at their ability to take a concept, create a fantastic design, and develop a functional app. They developed the app in less than seven months.

This is very minor, but we’ve experienced a few grammatical errors because their first language isn’t English.

They would be my first choice if I had to choose again. Everything has been very trustworthy; they provide receipts with all monetary transactions, answer e-mails quickly, and provide clarity to all of my questions. My app was initially pieced together by three previous developers. I had almost given up because they were unable to produce actual results. Agicent App Company India started by having numerous conversations to understand my vision of the app. Sudeep then went through the code and found many errors. They created a plan of action and delivered it on time.

Over the next few weeks, we had conference calls and email conversations to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. I was updated constantly throughout the entire project, and he made any needed changes almost immediately. They continue to make additions to the app.

People have begun using our app, and the results are incredible.
