**The Review** — Nov 1, 2023

**Feedback Summary**: The client is highly satisfied with 45RPM’s work and performance. The team is communicative, responsive, and energetic in their project management; they keep in touch through Google Meet and Slack. Overall, they have an outstanding work ethic and are incredibly passionate about helping customers.
"“Their people and personalities are impressive. They’re very energetic and clearly interested in what they do.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.I’m the COO and president of District Taco, a fast, casual Mexican restaurant.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?We needed help to put together a digital strategy to set up our website, funnel our data, and devise an architecture. Our first objectives were to improve our standards of excellence and have a partner on board to hold us accountable. The long-term goal was to increase sales and customer engagement.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?45RPM has helped us with our marketing strategy, managing our loyalty program, doing graphic design, and creating our brand identity. We initially worked once on a smaller project and came back for a regular agreement. We had a couple of meetings to discuss how we saw the brand, how we’d like to portray it, and how we’d like customers to see it. They’ve redesigned some of our tools to represent the brand in our franchises and helped with messaging and identity. Moreover, 45RPM has managed our strategy on Google, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. They work with our loyalty system and help us administer the loyalty program. What is the team composition? We have over six team members. How did you come to work with 45RPM?A friend and consultant referred them. How much have you invested with them? We’ve spent around $20,000.What is the status of this engagement? We started working with them in August 2023, and our relationship is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? We’re still trying to finalize the strategy, so we haven’t dug into generating sales yet. However, we can feel the impact of 45RPM’s presence. How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint? They’re very communicative and conscious of our budget. We don’t have an unlimited budget like larger companies do. Since I’m filling in for the marketing person, sometimes I’m overwhelmed by the amount of messages. They have many members on their team, and they all contribute so much. Overall, 45RPM’s team is assertive and willing to devote themselves to helping us.We’ve added them to our Slack channels and had conference calls via Google Meet. We also use Google Docs and Google Slides for project management. Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?Noriko (General Manager) and Maribel (Account Manager) have done a great job. What did you find most impressive about them?Their people and personalities are impressive. They’re very energetic and clearly interested in what they do. 45RPM is passionate about helping us, and we feel that compatible culture between our organizations. We see ourselves in the same light, so we’re excited to have a partner that values the same things. Are there any areas they could improve? The flip side of their communication is that sometimes it’s hard to track. When we pass documents back and forth, it feels a bit disorganized. However, it might be because I can’t devote as much mental energy as them. The team is very organized, but their communication method could be slightly different to remove some of its difficulty.Do you have any advice for potential customers?Take the project seriously and be honest with them; telling 45RPM where you’re at as an organization is helpful.

- Industry: Manufacturing

- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Oct 14, 2022

**Feedback Summary**: Thanks to 45RPM’s efforts, the client’s conversion rate has increased by 300%. The team is great at taking feedback and communicating effectively. Moreover, they’re responsive and accommodating to the client’s needs. Their outstanding flexibility has been key to the project’s ongoing success.
"“They accommodate us and adjust their approach based on our business needs.”"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of marketing for a consumer goods company with a direct-to-consumer focus.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We hired them for brand storytelling and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM provides us with CRO, e-commerce development, and UI/UX design. Every week, we review their tasks and brief them on what we’re looking for. They do research and come back with a  proposal, and if we agree, we put that into our pipeline. From there, they go through development and implementation. The team uses Shopify for development and Figma for design work.

What is the team composition?

We work with 6–7 teammates from 45RPM, including the CEO, account executives, project managers, UX designers, and one developer.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

We found them through a referral by a mutual colleague. After a handful of introductory calls, we decided to have a test project, and since we linked their work, we chose to engage with them full-time.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $200,000–$250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in October 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to 45RPM’s work, our conversion rate has increased by about 300%. They’ve been a great partner and take feedback really well.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicate using our desired channels, and they’re very easy to get a hold of and usually respond very quickly. We have a small amount of email correspondence as weekly calls over Zoom. Our daily communication is through Slack.

As for project management tools, we started off using Airtable, and we’ve since moved on to Wrike because of our needs, which they’ve accommodated. We also use Figma.

What did you find most impressive about them?

45RPM’s flexibility distinguishes them from other providers. They accommodate us and adjust their approach based on our business needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have integrated a UX designer into our conversations sooner. Additionally, the team could be more prescriptive and suggest updates and changes based on how the industry or software is changing. It would be really helpful if they applied knowledge from their other clients and gave examples to help us improve our platform and experience.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re a great development agency, and your success will depend on what kind of business you have. 45RPM is worth having a conversation with and then deciding if they’re a viable option depending on the phase of your business and your goals.

I'm an Executive Vice President at a nonprofit membership association. I oversee the Communications & Marketing Department.

Our company has grown considerably in the last 5 years, adding many new brands and products. We needed a comprehensive marketing plan that covered our entire suite of solutions.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

45RPM administered a lengthy discovery phase, meeting with our internal and external stakeholders and reviewing our current marketing practices. They developed a comprehensive marketing plan and style and branding guide.

They have since helped us to implement the plan/guide and worked on multiple marketing plans for our various products as needed to include digital marketing, social media, email communications, and website collateral.

**BACKGROUND**
Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the executive leading a digital startup within a larger operating company in the funeral and cemetery space.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
For what projects/services did your company hire 45RPM?

We were looking to launch the first ecommerce solution in our industry and after a successful pilot, needed to develop a technology strategy to improve the customer experience and simplify the market expansion process and a marketing strategy for new market entry.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

One of the members of the team had worked with this company in the past and highly recommended them. We reached out to a few other companies in our area and that we had worked with in the past, but selected this company due to the breadth of their capabilities and their flexible solution.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

They first did a thorough review of the existing technology and processes being employed as well as all previous research done for the pilot. We then met with their team to review goals and challenges of this digital transformation and created a plan.

We established a regular cadence of communication for the life of the project and they have led us through mulitple stages of the project, including customer experience mapping to strategic design and development support.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have consistently worked with 5 members of the team, with intermittent support from others. These included a Partner, Digital Marketing Strategist, Product Management Specialist, Project Manager and Front End Developer.

**The Review** — Jul 16, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: 45RPM’s work had an incredible impact on the business, including consistent positive feedback from people who watched the videos and increases in traffic and time spent on webpages. They were a professional partner who met all of their deadlines, and they were committed to knowing the business.
""Their desire to understand my business distinguished them from other service providers."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Contraqer. We offer procurement as a service. We have a SaaS website and two products: one of which is used by federal contractors and the other by dairy manufacturers.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We had a website, but it wasn’t doing a good job of communicating the value that we provide. It also didn’t put our best brand foot forward, so we needed something that was a little more polished and professional.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM did a rebrand. They took our brand kit and made it a little more professional by refining the logo, fonts, and colors. They also did interviews with us about what we do and who we’re trying to reach, and they changed the brand kit to reflect that.

The second part of the project was a website. The team did content editing and helped to make it flow better. They redesigned the website and added videos and other media. They used AWS and Craft CMS.

What is the team composition?

Tim (Founder & Managing Partner) was very involved in the project. We also had a project manager, a tech team, a videographer, and a UI development team.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

We were looking for a company that understood SaaS. We interviewed several companies, and it was our interview with Tim that solidified our decision. He understood our business immediately and told us the problems with our website and what they would do to fix them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in about October 2016, and we launched in January 2017.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their video work has been memorable and incredibly popular, and we’ve received a lot of positive feedback on that. The team’s editing was good. In terms of metrics, we’ve been seeing an increase in traffic, but since we’re not B2C, we’re not too focused on the numbers.

We also saw an increase in time spent on the site – more pages viewed and more time spent on them. What’s most important to us is the unsolicited positive feedback we’ve received from other people about the website.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager mapped everything out and kept everyone on track. We communicated via email, and they were great at sending updates. 45RPM was professional but insistent. For example, when I was running late on tasks, they would ping me on Skype.

The only time where deadlines slipped was when I was slacking. There was also one time where they came back and asked for some more time, which was fine because it wasn’t a critical task. Their communication was really good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their desire to understand my business distinguished them from other service providers. In our first few meetings, they didn’t even talk about web presence. They started by discussing the business. Tim also has a team of senior-level folks, which I appreciate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They shouldn’t have been as gentle with me about meeting my deadlines.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Something that we did right was deferring to them. I am very opinionated when it comes to web development, but I let them run with it. So, I would advise customers to be open to giving 45RPM plenty of room to do their work.

Trust them, and don’t try to drive the process. Letting them develop the ideas and guide the process worked out very well for us.

**The Review** — Apr 23, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: They’ve received positive feedback from potential investors. Additionally, the platform was released to beta customers, and they’ve really enjoyed the site’s design. 45RPM delivered visuals that really pop. The team managed the project effectively and were flexible when challenges arose.
"“Beyond the quality of the branding and the imagery, I can’t say enough about how responsive they are.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

Our company is  Torchlyte and I’m the VP of marketing

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We needed to elevate our website visually. That was the primary purpose of our engagement with 45RPM.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We had another UI/UX firm create the layout and wireframes, so when we engaged with 45 RPM, they took that starting point, elevated it . They designed all the graphics, created the CSS style sheets, and delivered all of that, so our developers could take that and lay it into the site.

We wanted a consistent brand impression across all of our assets. They developed all the designs for our investor presentations.

There is a ticket functionality on the platform, and we had this idea that people could get tickets for referring friends, and their were some challenges with embedding referral codes into social media, and they investigated that and were able to come up with a solution.

What is the team composition?

We worked with three people over the course of our engagement.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I heard about them through my network, and somebody introduced us.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $35,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in December 2019 and it wrapped up in March 2020.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Mission accomplished. The visuals on the site really pop. We’re really happy with the work they did. We’ve launched the site to a group of beta customers, and the feedback has been very positive. The tone of the website has been very positive, the visuals, everything we would hope to get from that feedback, we got. The feedback from our potential investors has been great as well.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was fantastic. There were some challenges on our end, but they were always super flexible and available. It didn’t matter what time it was, they always rallied to get it done.

We gave them access to Jira and our Google Docs. Other than that, we primarily emailed or used Google Hangouts.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Beyond the quality of the branding and the imagery, I can’t say enough about how responsive they are. They’re truly a great partner.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get the same team as me—they’re great.

**The Review** — Apr 8, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: 45RPM has been able to address all requirements and resolve any challenges they faced. The team was always reachable and organized. They collaborated well with their partners, keeping them updated at all phases throughout the project.
"“They’ve been able to resolve each problem we’ve faced. It’s the best experience I’ve had with a web designer.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m one of the co-founders of Nebia. We’re an e-commerce company.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We were looking for a streamlined way to manage our website and content in a way that’s nimble, up to par with the quality we want, and cost-effective.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We asked for a new website design. They took the content we have and transformed it into a web design. Once they got our feedback, the completely rebuilt the site. Along the way, they provided wireframes. They cover the full landscape. They do everything from content creation, which in our case was more like content adaptation. They’re really strong in visual and graphic design, and can do everything in web creation as well.

What is the team composition?

I interfaced with four people, but there were probably 1–2 people who worked with us as well.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

It was a reference from one of our co-founder’s friends. We talked to 3–4 agencies and evaluated with agencies we’ve worked with in the past before selecting 45RPM. We had the best connection with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2019 and we continue to work together.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They’ve been able to resolve each problem we’ve faced. It’s the best experience I’ve had with a web designer. Our website is much more adaptive, it was totally rebuilt from scratch. Before this, we had a hard time finding an agency that we meshed with and their strengths matched our needs.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

They were super easy to get ahold of and they were very organized. It was awesome. They were adaptable and fast. They did the entire development very quickly. They even worked during holidays.

We used lack and both of our project managers used Trello to keep track of tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s easy to work with them. We gave them a few ideas, and they got it and were able to turn it into a reality. We went back and forth on ideas, and it turned out well. That’s not always easy to come by.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could be slightly more proactive in terms of telling us where they stand on the project. There was a project scope, and they could tell us where we were relative to the projected timeline.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your expectations. The more information and detail you can provide them, the more likely you are to get what you want.

**The Review** — Apr 6, 2020

**Feedback Summary**: 45RPM delivered satisfactory content that generated positive feedback from target audiences. The team is dependable and manages responsibilities effectively to ensure that projects remain on schedule. They are flexible and produce genuine video content, which results in additional collaboration.
""The authenticity of their content sets them apart from the competition."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m part of a unit called brand elevation within the marketing team of Danone, which is the parent company of about 20 food brands including Danone yogurt and Oikos.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We’ve hired 45RPM twice. For the first project, we wanted to create content to help sell the value of one of our brands at a trade show.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM created video content for a unit in our company to exhibit at a tradeshow to get people to come to our booth and talk to us. Their team was responsible for conceptualizing, scripting, and casting for the video. They also created graphics for the content. Their team made a live-action video, so they filmed people in real situations. They’re currently creating a video for one of our brands.

What is the team composition?

There was a lead assigned to our project but 2–3 other people from their organization joined our calls.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I worked in television for many years and knew one of their associates at that point in my career. I chose them because I knew their work previously.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $75,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our work with 45RPM in January 2020 and it’s ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One project's still in production but our brand's extremely happy with 45RPM's progress. The project has gone well. We had to put certain projects on pause because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but our brand was impressed.

On the first project, their team created the content for a tradeshow, which went well. It got a positive response from the team who was at the booth and the people who interacted with that team.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via phone calls, texts, and e-mails. We’re in different locations but have web access. Their team’s organized and the schedule’s regimented, which is what I like about them. They tell us what they’re going to deliver, and they deliver on time. They adjust well to curveballs, which get thrown into projects all of that time. Their team's excellent and makes sure that nothing gets dropped.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The authenticity of their content sets them apart from the competition. In marketing, we try to achieve content that exudes authenticity, not something that feels like a commercial.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There aren’t any issues that stand out to me at this stage. I like what they do.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Most large corporations have an old school marketing philosophy and may approach a company like 45RPM with a traditional idea for their content. 45RPM can deliver on those ideas but allow 45RPM to guide content according to current best practices. Keep an open mind and let their team develop content based on their knowledge of what's successful now.

**The Review** — Sep 12, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: 45RPM exceeded expectations, crafting high-quality brand collateral and web materials. Their efficient and collaborative workflow complemented their project management style. They work well with startups, becoming a true partner aiming to meet goals.
""The team at 45RPM is collaborative and thoughtful."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

My company is Binvault, LLC, an on-demand valet storage company that provides a convenient storage service. The older storage model involves people driving to the storage closet, picking up what they need, and then bringing it back home. Our business consists of a full-service storage option for consumers and businesses. Our valets bring the storage coset to the customers in the form of special roundtrip plastic bins. Once customers pack the bins, we collect them and warehouse them using our proprietary inventory system. Our technology includes an online photo library that allows customers to select what items they want to be returned back to them. We then provide a 24-hour delivery window for those items.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We’re a complete startup, so we engaged with 45RPM initially for brand development. From there, we started working on a comprehensive marketing plan that included a website and market awareness.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

While we’re technically a storage company, it’s all about service and technology. 45RPM crafted a brand and marketing strategy for us. Along with building a web platform, their team performs SEO services. We have a two-pronged approach that uses traditional mailers & billboards as well as our web presence to drive traffic and get more sign-ups. Along with general web development, we’re using our own custom images. 45RPM performed a photoshoot for our social media platforms so they cover a lot of ground for us.

What is the team composition?

During the brand development, we have an average of three to four people on a team. For the website, we work with 3–4 people. When we had the photoshoot, it was all hands on deck. Along with the team that worked behind-the-scenes, we had a production crew of six.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I received a referral from a contact at another company. They used 45RPM for a new platform launch and had a great experience. I had used a couple of other firms in the past. After interviewing Tim (Founder, 45RPM) about their capabilities, I found that they weren’t the classic advertising agency. Their team focuses on what happens after development, what it takes to capture customers, and how to measure success.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $175,000–$200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with 45RPM started in June 2019 and is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re about ready to launch, with a majority of the work concluded. Right now, our primary metric is accomplishing our major goals and milestones to launch. Our next phase will be to focus on conversion rates per dollar of investment.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been great. If I had to do this all over, I would select 45RPM again.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with other firms, but one of the things that make 45RPM stand out is their understanding of the startup environment. The team understands how to put forth a project scope that meets the goals within budget requirements to achieve the project. There have been no time delays or changes that need extra funding. 45RPM does what they say they’re going to do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement, but I think from where we started to where we are now, we’re in a great spot with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The team at 45RPM is collaborative and thoughtful. Customers are looking for a firm that goes beyond work output; they want someone to partner with and who will understand what they’re trying to achieve. 45RPM should be considered as a top choice.

Customers can expect a supportive and dedicated partner.
""45RPM brings multinational experience to the table, which sets them apart."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the chairman of a Mexican firm called Miles for Retirement. We offer a service that attaches our customers’ savings to their daily expenses and Social Security accounts.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We’re trying to improve our customer acquisition processes. We hired 45RPM to help us with several initiatives by leveraging their knowledge of communication and social networks. Our goal is to multiply and diversify our new client pool.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We began with a Facebook marketing idea. Using analytics from Facebook, Tim (Founder, 45RPM) convinced us to shift to Google. He used various tools and analytics to evaluate the effectiveness of our click-earning strategies.

We focused on Google for the first few weeks. Since then, Tim has offered fantastic ideas for changing how we manage our social networks. We’ve been experimenting with all kinds of hypotheses. He’s also given us specific strategies for improving the content that we produce.

We’re still using Facebook, and our team is constantly improving our approach. We’re working with Tim to enhance our website as well. He has complete visibility of all of our digital content.

What is the team composition?

We have three people from my team and three people from 45RPM. Noriko (Senior Digital Producer, 45RPM) is our account manager. She’s based in Mexico.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I’ve known Tim for years. I reached out to him because he’s proficient in social network marketing and entrepreneurship. Initially, I was only asking for advice, and he told me that he had recently opened a shop in Mexico and was open to exploring my idea.

We exchanged some plans and proposals, and Tim convinced me that his experience and client base fit with what I was trying to accomplish. We eventually decided to begin a partnership with 45RPM.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $8,000 in their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2018. The partnership is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still working with them because we’re really happy with their services. Tim was right about Google being a more efficient way of acquiring clients than Facebook. We’ve been tracking downloads, likes, registrations on the app, and the number of clients that complete the enrollment process. The numbers have skyrocketed. We measure these KPIs every week and have been completely satisfied with these numbers.

Due to the visibility that Tim has of our services, he’s able to understand how and why different strategies work. That has been very useful.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

Noriko has been excellent. My team has always expressed to me that she’s been an excellent partner. I’m not involved on a day-to-day basis, but they’ve told me that she is always available and solves problems quickly. My team has complained to me about other providers, and I know that it’s not easy to make them happy.

Also, I appreciate how Tim always attends our monthly meetings. I know that we’re a small client, but Tim is still willing to give a couple of hours every month to go deep into the analysis and insights of the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with similar companies in Mexico, and the majority of these firms have a limited, national view. 45RPM brings multinational experience to the table, which sets them apart.

Secondly, 45RPM is open to having success fees attached to their work. They believe in their work so much that they’re willing to stake their fees on it. This differentiates them as well.

Lastly, Tim is extremely knowledgeable and can understand our project from a design point of view and a technical point of view.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This is a minor thing, but there has been a bit of a language barrier. Our project manager speaks perfect Spanish, and we’ve benefitted from that day-to-day relationship. The problem is that Tim has many insights and ideas but isn’t completely fluent in Spanish. This tends to break up the energy and synergy of the group during meetings. Overall though, everything is working out very well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be that, if they’re based in Mexico, they should connect directly with Tim and Noriko at the same time. If you have someone who’s fluent in English, that will make discussions easier.

Aside from that, let 45RPM do their work. Make sure that they understand what they’re doing, but also give them the freedom to explore their ideas. Don’t try to control everything, because that will stifle creativity, which is embedded in these services. Keep track of the numbers, but don’t forget to provide room for innovation.

"“They are client-oriented and brand-focused with great technical capabilities.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO at a digital publisher of tax information. I’m responsible for delivering our electronic content to our customers.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

Our web platform hadn’t been updated in about fifteen years, and the website was text-heavy. We hired 45RPM to redevelop our platform and provide both strategic analysis and web development work.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM completed an initial brand analysis around the names of our company and products, and they made recommendations for platform adjustments. Then, they developed a website on a Drupal web content delivery platform. 45RPM did backend and systems development, and most of the coding was in PHP. They added many new features, creating an entirely new site experience.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 6–7 team members. Our project manager was Tim (Founder and Managing Partner, 45RPM).

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I have known Tim in a professional capacity for many years. When we put a bid out for the website work, I asked him to submit a proposal.

How much have you invested with them?

My company has spent over $300,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our work with 45RPM in June 2015, and the engagement is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The biggest impact has been the success of the site. 45RPM implemented features when they said they would, and they have always hit the target. We still rely on them for different development tasks; they’re convenient and easy to work with.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

They assign resources effectively and complete work on time. Information about the work they’re doing is readily available.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The combination of skill sets within the organization sets 45RPM apart. They are client-oriented and brand-focused with great technical capabilities.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This was a long time ago, but we experienced some challenges in a project that we did with 45RPM and a design firm. Although I’m not sure this is attributable to 45RPM, we had issues assigning ownership to various elements of the project.

Any advice for potential customers?

I don’t have any specific advice, but they’re a great team that is easy to work with.

**The Review** — Jun 26, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: Their PPC work has generated high sales for a new business unit, the capture of which internal stakeholders attribute entirely to 45RPM. The team is capable of not only delivering creative ideas but also executing them based on their in-depth understanding of digital positioning and marketing.
"“They’re very effective at managing small, medium, and large projects.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of marketing and communications for Student Transportation of America, a North American provider of school bus transportation services. We operate 14,500 school buses and transport millions of school children each day. We have several technology products, platforms, and services.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

My company had never engaged in digital marketing activities like PPC or SEO. We wanted to increase general awareness about what we deliver. In particular, we needed to market our new bus leasing product offerings and build prospects quickly. We also wanted to bring attention to our digital channels.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM provides digital marketing services. They worked with my team to build our marketing strategies from scratch. Their team reviewed our Google Analytics and set up Google Tag Manager. They designed and developed landing pages and set up the Google PPC infrastructure. Now, they monitor our PPC campaigns and deliver reports.

45RPM also provides SEO. They’ve updated our website and created web copy. The team has also helped us with various one-off content development projects, such as producing videos for our products and services.

What is the team composition?

My team engages with 5–7 people on any given project, including a project manager.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I’d worked with 45RPM when I was at another company, so I knew what they were capable of. I was pleased with their work the first time I worked with them, and I’m pleased the second time around. If I ever move to a new company, I’d probably bring them on in some capacity.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our work together began in January 2017, and it is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The Google PPC campaigns that we’ve run with 45RPM have delivered hundreds of thousands of dollars to our new bus leasing business unit. If we didn’t work with 45RPM, we wouldn’t have been able to capture that business. My company is very pleased with these results.

The videos that 45RPM produced have been well-received, and they've become one of our most utilized content assets. We use the videos across our business units to support different campaigns.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform very well in this area. An idea is only as good as its execution, and 45RPM not only proposes creative ideas but also understands marketing and positioning. They’re great communicators and provide frequent progress updates. They also hold us accountable if there are things my team needs to do. When 45RPM encounters a challenge, they quickly find a solution or, if necessary, correct the course of the project. They’re very effective at managing small, medium, and large projects.

What did you find most impressive about them?

45RPM’s founder is involved and hands-on. As the company has grown, he’s remained on the creative and development side and has hired great people to manage the projects. 45RPM is also very strong in digital.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It could be helpful to have more of their team understand the client business, such as by interacting with client stakeholders. However, in terms of the project’s delivery, we’re very pleased.

Any advice for potential customers?

This is advice for any client-agency engagement, but there should be an in-depth fact find at the start of the project. Clients should know what the goals of the project are, what company executives want to see, whether there are any potential roadblocks, and what the budget is. An agency is only as good as what they can deliver, and they need information in order to do so.

**The Review** — Jun 25, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: 45RPM’s work has generated measurable success, from raising funding to winning a preeminent FinTech competition. Detail-oriented and honest, the team provides executive-level support and expedites delivery. Their extensive marketing knowledge supplements continued engagement.
"“Their expertise makes them invaluable.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner and founder of FifteenSixty, a boutique marketing agency in the D.C. area. One of our primary services is CMO on demand, where companies can hire us to act as their senior marketing leadership on a fractional basis.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

Because I act as the CMO for my clients, I need support on several different tasks. I hired 45RPM to be my service provider.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

I receive project requirements from my clients, and then I hire 45RPM to complete different jobs. Their work has spanned all marketing-related activities, including building websites, developing advertising campaigns, building out brand materials, rebranding, and video production.

45RPM has provided support to a few of FifteenSixty’s client engagements, including our largest one with a cybersecurity firm in Washington, D.C. For this client, 45RPM has helped create a full marketing program. We did all of the preparatory work for them to enter funding rounds, such as branding and creating the marketing deck materials. 45RPM also developed all of the marketing materials for a FinTech program in New York.

I’ve worked with several other companies, but 45RPM has become my go-to agency for all web, video, brand, messaging, content, and advertising services.

What is the team composition?

I work with Tim (Founder, 45RPM). I also work with Patrick (Partner and Producer, 45RPM), who does all of the video work, and Noriko (Producer, 45RPM), who is the project manager.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I’d worked with Tim when he was at a previous agency. I compared 45RPM with another web design provider, and it was clear that 45RPM produced better work. They were also cost-effective and could work quickly.

How much have you invested with them?

Overall, I’ve spent around $300,000. We use a retainer model, and our run rate is about $13,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

I began working with 45RPM in May 2017, and our work together is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Because of the work that 45RPM did for our cybersecurity client, they’ve successfully raised capital in two rounds of financing. They have six new sales opportunities because of a recent marketing and advertising campaign that 45RPM did. Also, the FinTech program whose marketing materials 45RPM developed won a prestigious competition. We’ve had no negative metrics.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

45RPM adheres to our quick turnaround times. Their team, especially Noriko, is exceptionally detail-oriented. We have an open and direct relationship. They’re honest if they don’t think they’re the right fit for a project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

In my past engagements with other companies, I often began the project working with the company’s leadership, but then got passed down to less experienced account managers and team members as the work progressed. This has never been the case with 45RPM; I continue to work directly with Tim and Patrick. The entire team’s attention to detail, up to the executive level, is incredible. Their expertise makes them invaluable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Any three-year partnership is going to encounter some challenges, but for every problem we’ve had, 45RPM has worked with me to overcome and solve it.

Any advice for potential customers?

You should be straightforward with them. 45RPM’s team is full of creatives, from web and graphic designers to videographers. They’re problem solvers for people like myself who aren’t creative. If they can’t solve your problem, they will tell you.

**Feedback Summary**: The video was very well-received, with their team doing an excellent job at translating our product to American sensibilities. 45RPM's responsiveness, and ability to create on-time deliverables regardless of any time-zone differences, were hallmarks of their work.
""45RPM was exceptionally good at creating content."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the managing director of Dr. Dünner, a Swiss family company. We manufacture, sell, and market food supplements based on natural ingredients.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

Dr. Dunner had been selling one group of food supplements in the US market for quite a number of years. We wanted to launch a whole new range of products, and expand our reach on social media channels.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM held a couple of strategy meetings to determine the project strategy. We didn't even have our own website at the time. They determined we needed a complete relaunch of the brand by creating website, Facebook, and Instagram content. We shared responsibility for responding to social media comments. They handled general questions on a daily basis. The responsibility for questions in the medicinal area was ours. In addition, 45RPM helped us get started selling our product on Amazon.

What is the team composition?

Most of the time we worked directly with Tim (founder, 45RPM).

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

We looked at a couple of agencies around Washington, DC, and New York. We put together a short list and contacted our favorites. We had a few meetings and eventually chose 45RPM. As a small company, like working with an agency of the same size. For me, it’s always important to have direct access to the management.

How much have you invested with them?

In 2018, which was the only full year of the partnership, we spent close to $500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project took place from June 2017–February 2019.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

For every activity, we had at least one KPI attached. It's important to have criteria in place if you spend your company's money. We looked at each social media channel in terms of reach, impressions, and interactions. Some of those KPIs were satisfactory and some were not. I didn't blame 45RPM because we’d just launched our new product and the occasional surprise was to be expected. We had a few pleasant surprises but also a few unpleasant ones.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team was excellent. I really liked that we had basically zero waiting time. Given that we’re in Europe and 45RPM is in the US, it can be a bit complicated. However, their response times were spot on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

45RPM was exceptionally good at creating content. In 2017, they sent a film crew over to Switzerland to produce videos. Their work was excellent. They immediately understood how to portray a Swiss company so it would appeal to the American taste and emotions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing they should change. If anything, I wish we could have worked with 45RPM longer. We’re a family company and the family decided to sell the business to another member of the family in Canada. That's the only reason why we stopped our cooperation.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make it clear from the start what you expect and any KPIs. This is up to the agency, but it’s best if the team remains stable. It’s a bad sign if the team is changing every few weeks.

We’ve used 45RPM for a variety of projects throughout our engagement. We’ve contracted them to consult on our needs ranging from video production to content development. The 45RPM team primarily consists of Patrick (Partner & Producer, 45RPM) and Tim (Founder, 45RPM).

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I’d known Patrick for nearly 15 years. We met on a project, so we have a longstanding professional relationship. I knew that Tim was also very talented, so when Patrick joined 45RPM, I chose them for our needs.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

Our engagement hasn’t called for project management between our teams in that capacity.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are a team of phenomenally talented individuals that separate them from others in the industry. Tim and Patrick are great leaders of the organization. They have a strategic approach that I find inspirational.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I can think of for them to do better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Anyone fortunate enough to be working with 45RPM should be prepared to see amazing results.

As a partner, they continue to meet requirements, beat deadlines and produce work that exceeds expectations.
""Our collaboration has been easy and seamless—they always understand my vision."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m an executive producer of Aircrafts Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). We’re a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting general aviation and preserving the freedom to fly in the US, outside of commercial airlines and the military.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

Our organization was working to keep a specific airport in California from closing. To do this, we needed to create promotional videos and advertisements that showed the value the location could bring in the future. We think that air taxis will be necessary for inner-city travel eventually, so this airport would be a great asset to keep open. We hired 45RPM to create these videos for us and convey our message to the general public and those involved in politics.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

We brought our ideas to 45RPM, and we workshopped a few options for the videos. After going back and forth a few times, we landed on a final option, and they began production.

We decided to do a mix of animation, green screen, and live action. Their team handled the entire production process, including finding the right actors, locations, and post-production editing. They created a series of spots, and we’re currently working together to create more generic versions to promote our organization as a whole.

What is the team composition?

Patrick (Partner & Producer, 45RPM) is our primary contact. He handles everything for us during the collaboration.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

Patrick contacted me about collaborating on a project because he has a connection with aviation and had unique ideas. At the time, we didn’t have a need for his team, but after we got to know his background and expertise, we chose them when our project arose.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around November 2018 and the relationship is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The videos haven’t been widely launched to the public yet, so we don’t have any quantitative metrics yet. However, our internal team and leaders of our organization are thrilled with the final products and are continually blown away by the quality.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

45RPM delivers the work on time and within our budget. They keep me fully informed throughout the project. There are never surprises because of our communication. Their quick turnaround time has been great, and they meet tight deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Our collaboration has been easy and seamless—they always understand my vision. It is always simple to redirect the project, and 45RPM are enjoyable to work with.

**Feedback Summary**: 45RPM’s exceptional videos and effective people management have contributed to the success of each event. Thanks to their organization and efficiency, they’ve been able to respond and deliver outside of normal working hours. Their creativity and insight set them apart from other vendors.
""They’re deeply involved in creating extra material to help your event look and feel excellent."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of Context Capital Partners, which is the parent company of Context Summit. We organize and facilitate several alternative asset management conferences every year.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We hired 45RPM to guide our media production both at our events and on external platforms like YouTube.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

They started by creating a YouTube channel for our business, which we used to publish interviews and sessions from our events. They’re responsible for filming, editing, and uploading content to our channel. Our partnership has evolved to include the production of other content at our events, such as panel discussions, keynote speeches, fireside chats, and on-stage interviews.

Last year, they helped us run our largest event yet, facilitating a full day of content. Patrick (Partner, 45RPM) took everyone through a run of show the day before. He walked through each aspect of the flow of the schedule, making sure that the AV folks knew their cues down to the second.

The team also created content for the event, including videos that played between sessions, graphic overlays during interviews, logos and images for the video wall, and information for the screens next to the stage. They used cameras and drones to record video at the event.

What is the team composition?

Patrick is my main point of contact, and he’s usually in charge of the team that they bring to our events. Typically, he’ll bring about four or five other people with him to help capture and edit content.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

I met them through a mutual connection. I'd initially found another company in LA through a recommendation from a friend, but they were unable to do our event. This person then introduced me to Patrick, and we began our partnership soon after.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent somewhere between $250,000–$500,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership began in June 2015 and is ongoing.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although we don’t have a formal process set up for measuring impact, I can say that the work they’ve delivered has been truly exceptional. Specifically, the demo reel they created for our last event was extremely well done. They did a fantastic job of coupling powerful music with the movement on the screen. We used the video to kick off the event.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

This is an area where I deal primarily with Patrick, and he’s very organized. He’s been in the business for a long time and knows all the different steps needed to pull off our events. There’s usually a lot of activity between our teams leading up to each event, and Patrick has been critical to the successful execution of our larger conferences. Coordinating people and following schedules is one of 45RPM’s strongest skill sets.

They’ve also consistently met our uploading deadlines. We're always looking to post videos to our YouTube channel within 24–48 hours after filming, and they’ve kept their editing and publishing process within that timeframe.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re incredibly customer focused, and they’ll work extra hours if you’re in a jam and need something turned around quickly. They’re also super creative and very good at understanding what is appealing to audiences. When you’re working with them, they’re not just looking to film and record content. They’re deeply involved in creating extra material to help your event look and feel excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve been working with them since they first started, and, in the early days, turnaround time wasn’t always as fast as I would’ve liked. In recent years, they’ve been able to bring in additional resources to meet aggressive timelines. In the past, I’ve needed to watch their process more closely, but now I’m confident that they’ll deliver what I need when I need it.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You need to make the investment upfront in thinking through the kind of experience you’re trying to create. Nail down the image you want to portray and how that fits in with your brand. Give 45RPM the direction they need to execute the job. If you do this, they'll be able to make your vision a reality.

Also, don’t fall into the trap of thinking that everything can be done right before the event. Block out plenty of time in advance to discuss the event in detail and give your opinions on what they propose for handling various elements. These events can be complicated, so do what you can to make sure that you’re on the same page.

From the start, their team has been very receptive to client feedback, timely, and willing to tailor their efforts to best meet project goals.
"“45RPM has successfully improved our online traction, increasing our impressions from social media.”
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the founder of the Pratt Standard Cocktail Company, a classic cocktail ingredient company with products available on Amazon Prime and in over 100 stores in 14 states.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We needed support for our public crowdfunding campaign, as well as social media marketing support.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM provides marketing strategy guidance and content for our social media platforms and crowdfunding campaign. They also developed a video for our Wefunder page, incorporating edits and reshoots as requested from our end.

What is the team composition?

I'm in direct contact with a few people, but there's probably about four people working part-time on our account.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

My husband connected us. I felt they would be a good strategic partner, given their experience with Amazon and their other marketing expertise. They also invested in our business.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested about $15,000 thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We've been working with them since around November 2018.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

45RPM has successfully improved our online traction, increasing our impressions from social media. It's still too early to report any metrics, but their work has definitely had a positive impact already.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

They've performed very well, listening to our vision and incorporating any feedback we've provided. They've also done a good job of staying on top of tasks and meeting timelines, pushing me for additional information when necessary to ensure we're staying on track. We generally track work on Airtable and also use Dropbox and Google Drive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They take the time to understand client needs, tailoring their approach to meet those needs without wasting time on any superfluous work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, but I will say they're a small shop, which is probably why they're able to be so attentive to client needs. As they grow, I'd recommend they don't steer away from that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to go into the relationship with an idea of project goals and objectives and take advantage of their strategic insights.

- Client size: 11-50 Employees
- Review Type: Phone Interview

**The Review** — Apr 30, 2019

**Feedback Summary**: The videos and website were produced in line with expectations. Although some materials could have matched the niche vision more, the videos continue to have a positive impact on the business. As a team, 45RPM was creative, fresh, and professional, bringing a unique perspective to the work.
""Their team was a powerful combination of very bright, sophisticated people."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder of Contraqer Corp. We’re a procurement management SaaS company. Our clients use our services to buy key products for their business.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with 45RPM?

We hired 45RPM to rebuild our website and provide various other services, including video production.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

45RPM designed and developed our new website. To start, they interviewed our clients and gathered interesting, useful information. Their team incorporated this feedback into their process, as well as with some ad buy campaigns. They also ran a few SEO efforts and created 4–5 videos for us.

What is the team composition?

Tim (Founder, 45RPM) was our main contact. He supplied resources both from within and outside his team. Patrick (Partner & Producer, 45RPM) worked with us on the video production aspects of the project.

How did you come to work with 45RPM?

A connection introduced us to 45RPM.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between $5,000–$10,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from roughly April–September 2016.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The design and development of the website were executed well; we got exactly what we needed from their team. Sites are always evolving, so we’ll be updating it in the future, but the overall look and feel matched what we envisioned. The videos have been a big hit with our audience. We continue to use them regularly and they’ve stood the test of time.

How did 45RPM perform from a project management standpoint?

We primarily spoke through phone calls and email—someone from 45RPM was always available when we needed them. Although some parts of the project were produced a little late, everything was delivered by the end. I attribute some of the delays to growing pains and juggling multiple clients, so I don’t hold those mistakes against them. We valued that they were accountable.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team was a powerful combination of very bright, sophisticated people. They were up to date on current practices and trends, which we found impressive. They were fun to be around and we enjoyed working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There are a few things that could have improved our engagement. There were some aspects of the content they produced that didn’t fully match our brand. Since we’re in a niche industry, we valued their outside perspective, but the work didn’t fulfill our vision perfectly. A different resource could have helped this part of the process go smoother.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Establish a relationship with Tim, because he’s great to work closely with. Don’t be reluctant to let them know if the work isn’t resonating the way you expected. Being an active client will help you have the best engagement.
