The objective was to enable physicians to access patient information remotely, improve communication between clinical staff through a centralized portal, and reduce reliance on manual paper records while enhancing reporting and analytics. A key focus was also ensuring strong regulatory compliance, including PHIA, PIPEDA, HIPAA, and interoperability standards like FHIR and HL7, to maintain secure, compliant, and standardized handling of sensitive healthcare data.

Their scope of work has included data migration and validation, workflow automation, cloud-based infrastructure setup, user-friendly dashboard and reporting features, compliance and security enhancements, and integration support to improve accessibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency across healthcare processes.

Zycic has been directly responsible for building the dashboard, developing key platform features, report generation, and data analytics capabilities. The team has also helped analyze healthcare data for better decision-making, operational efficiency, and compliance management.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Zycic's work, we've successfully digitized and organized paper-based healthcare records into a centralized EMR/EHR system with dashboards, reporting, and data analytics capabilities that have improved workflow efficiency and data accessibility. While the platform is still pending full market launch, the current progress has met our internal expectations. We're satisfied with the development, system performance, and overall direction of the solution.

One of the biggest improvements is that physicians can now securely access patient health data from anywhere without needing to visit the physical site to review paper records. Nurses and healthcare staff can communicate and update information directly through the portal, which has significantly improved coordination and response time. The system also provides clear record series, easier report generation, and better data analysis capabilities, making healthcare information more organized and efficient to review. Additionally, digitization has eliminated the common issue of missing or misplaced paper records, greatly improving data accessibility and reliability.

Although the project is still in the pre-launch stage, we've already seen noticeable operational improvements during internal use and testing. Based on our internal testing and early adoption, we've observed an estimated 50%–60% reduction in the time required to access and review patient records compared to the previous paper-based process. We've also seen a significant reduction in documentation and record-handling errors, particularly issues related to missing or misplaced files and recording data. Additionally, centralized digital access and automated reporting have improved overall record accessibility and workflow efficiency across physicians, nurses, and administrative teams.
