Our Story

Zareko brings together senior software engineers from Canada and Ukraine who have spent years building products for startups and enterprises. Our mission is simple: deliver top-quality software without the agency price tag. By combining deep engineering experience with AI-assisted development, we move faster, cut waste, and pass the savings to our clients, while keeping direct communication, code quality, and long-term maintainability at the center of everything we build.

What Sets Us Apart

Senior Engineers Only

Every project is handled by experienced senior engineers based in Canada and Ukraine. No juniors learning on your budget: just seasoned professionals who have built and shipped production software for startups and enterprises.

AI-Accelerated Delivery

We actively use modern AI tools across design, coding, testing, and documentation. Paired with senior-level code review, this lets us ship faster with fewer bugs, without cutting corners on architecture or quality.

Premium Quality, Low Cost

Our distributed model and AI-driven efficiency mean you get the expertise of a top-tier North American team at a fraction of the usual price, with rates starting at $25-$49/hr, transparent estimates, and direct access to the engineers building your product.

Commonly Asked Questions

We keep communication direct and transparent. You talk with the engineers building your product, not layers of account managers. Depending on your preference, we provide weekly progress updates, short demo calls, and async updates in Slack or email. You always have visibility into the backlog, timeline, and budget, and we flag risks early so there are no surprises.

We start with a free discovery call to understand your goals, users, and constraints. From there we review any existing code or designs, agree on scope and priorities, and share a clear estimate and timeline. Once approved, we set up communication channels, repository access, and a first milestone, so development typically begins within days, not weeks.

We are currently taking on MVPs for startups, custom web applications, cross-platform mobile apps (React Native), backend and API development, third-party integrations, Salesforce development, and modernization of legacy systems. We are equally happy to join an existing product as an extension of your in-house team or to own a project end to end.

We follow a lightweight Agile process with short sprints (usually 1-2 weeks). Work is tracked in Jira or your preferred tool, each sprint ends with a demo of working software, and priorities are adjusted together with you. Every change goes through code review and automated testing before release, and AI-assisted tooling helps us keep documentation and tests up to date.

Two reasons: our distributed team in Canada and Ukraine keeps overhead low, and we have built AI deeply into our workflow. AI tools handle much of the repetitive work (boilerplate, test scaffolding, documentation, code analysis), so our senior engineers spend their time on architecture, problem solving, and review. You get the judgment of experienced engineers with far fewer billable hours.
