Our pre-existing website, referred to as a KYC microsite, focused on collecting KYC documents for customs clearance in India. Our goal was to improve the user journey for KYC. We connected with Yellow Slice primarily to enhance the UI/UX design of the website, aiming to make it more intuitive, self-service-oriented, and efficient.

Furthermore, to streamline the user experience, minimizing the attempts needed to successfully complete the process. Key Deliverables: • Final UI Sample + Style Guide Deck • UI Language Guide • Animation and Transition Guide • Design System

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Aligning the redesign with FedEx brand guidelines for a more professional look.
2. Making the website more intuitive, and self-served.
3. The most crucial goal was achieving a 'first time right' experience for customers, reducing multiple attempts on the site. 

While the first two goals have been accomplished, we could see a gradual improvement in the third one.

The project management was effective and we were able to meet all our timelines. Although there were minor setbacks, these did not impact our ability to achieve the goals. Overall, Yellow Slice demonstrated responsiveness to our needs, and the project management was well-handled.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most about Yellow Slice was the team's receptiveness, agility, and creativity. They consistently delivered on expectations, staying aligned with the plan and goals throughout.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Yellow Slice could have done differently?

Yes, we were expecting a more advanced tech solution, particularly for the quality check on the documents but the initial delivered one was a basic, vanilla BB script solution that didn't meet our needs. Although it is now being addressed, which could have been implemented earlier in the project.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our main goal was to get the designs for the app & websites. Goals were delivered when the branding, the wireframes, and the UI designs were approved. Furthermore, there are about 2500 users till now on our platform from different industries like HR, Legal, Finance, Sales, Procurement, and Freelancers. So, we are 100% satisfied with the outcomes of the goals we wanted to achieve with Yellow Slice.

I think it was decent. More or less, we were on track in terms of timelines. Of course, if there were changes, then we had to go back and change it. But there were no major hiccups in terms of timeline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their collaborative approach was good. The sense of getting things done and creativity was good enough. Moreover, their professionalism and sense of accountability were good.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Yellow Slice could have done differently?

More creativity and out-of-box thinking. I would want them to try to understand the problem a little bit deeper and live with it to build more creative designs.

We wanted design resources to work with us onsite to build our e-commerce platform.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Whatever they designed didn’t see the light of the day. But yes, the help they provided in terms of visual design and also in research was very good & quite extensive. So, it really helped us take the second version of the website to the next level.

We were just talking to the designers and they were good. They were doing what was required. They were on-site. We were happy. The co-founders were active and always ready to help, especially Kishor.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Yes, you can say that communication is one point. Also, Kishor, despite being a CEO, was always available whenever we wanted help, and even Sunny. I never got a chance to take advantage of Sunny’s skills but I really admired his UX skills.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Yellow Slice could have done differently?

I think Sunny should have been more available in terms of solving problems. I think he should have been more in touch with the guys (the designers) who were there in terms of knowing what they’re doing, in terms of solving if they face any problems. Also taking the feedback from me in between of the project would have been beneficial to both parties. I think they could’ve been more alert in that.

Meeting notes, final handoff did not capture everything that was discussed. Figma files that were being used during the demos and progress meetings were different from the final handoff files. This led to several gaps where the final files did not have what was shown earlier.
