Scope of project:

After four years in operation, my organization Geneva Health Files needed a good corporate website. As a niche, investigative, global health journalistic initiative, we have been extremely busy during and after the pandemic of COVID-19. So the launch of a new website was long overdue. We want to convey that we are much more than a newsletter on Substack.

We meticulously crafted every aspect of our website, from its vibrant color schemes, user friendly layout to its fresh design. The goal was to showcase not only the distance we have traveled in four years, but also where we are heading. I really got lucky to work with intuitive designers who were excited about our mission as much as we were about their design sensibilities.

Communicating complex subject matter does not have to be unimaginative. Thoughtful design and illustrations can elevate even the most intricate technical subjects, making them truly accessible.

Our expectations of a new website:

The website is a part of a broader effort to refresh and own our brand identity in some sense. It is not only about how others perceive us, but also how we perceive ourselves. Through the new corporate website, we seek to drive greater engagement with our readership.

It is as much an appeal for new readers to explore our journalism, as much as it is for our existing readers to delve deeper into what we stand for. The goal is to drive business development in terms of attracting new readers and partners.

Key deliverables:

 A fully functional website with neat design that communicates our work, mission and ambition. Includes elements to showcase the many layers of our editorial products. Facilitates interaction with readers and interested experts.
