Develop a social memorial platform with an interactive capabilities for the user community to be able to invite friends and family to like, share and keep memories as a digital memory bank, in addition to engaging with the the ecommerce store.

Shalini and her team established and good system for us to interact and get regular updates. The deliver was excellent and often exceeded expectations There were a number of milestones over the year we worked for phase 1 and overall the responsiveness was very good. Even when there were delays, we had virtual meetings to understand what was happening behind the scene.

I was impressed with their willingness to deliver their best work and customer satisfaction focus.

Proactive communication when there is a gap in understanding of needs or scope. Crayons Biz does a good job in many areas of client delivery but we can always improve in regular communication especially given the international customers and varying languages of its customers.

I am the CEO of a web development company providing mobile apps, websites, and SEO [search engine optimization] for clients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Web Crayons Biz?

We needed to develop an app that a customer wanted for very specific needs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

There was a need for meticulous planning and design work and a user-experience study which we’ve done in partnership with Web Crayons. They worked closely with us during the initial phase, when requirements are amorphous and customers don’t really know what they want. We worked with the customer trying to flesh out the vision and the details they provided, and ultimately execute them. Much of the frontend work is done by our company, in terms of analyzing user needs and what the flow of the app should be. Web Crayons then follows through and executes on our vision.

They’ve been very responsive and extremely fast in terms of turnaround. Web Crayons is able to deliver with well-thought-out work which corresponds to what we were thinking and gives us a competitive edge. The speed also helps and has surprised our customer.

We have worked with Web Crayons on multiple iOS and Android projects, but this has been the largest one so far. They mainly work on the backend and also propose functionalities for the frontend, while we handle the user interface. General behavior elements are gathered from the customer.

We received a business development email from them. We needed some augmentation for traditional development, but we pride ourselves on the quality of work we do and our responsiveness, so there needed to be a trusting relationship in place with Web Crayons. Those were the main considerations and Web Crayons offered to work on a small initial project in order to prove themselves. I gave them a website project with specific requirements and they agreed to it. It was delivered well which gave us confidence in Web Crayons, so we moved on to bigger things.

The cost of their work has been around $5,000–$6,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Web Crayons Biz around April 2016. The collaboration is ongoing.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any metrics as such, but the quality of the work is reflected in our customers’ feedback. They’ve been very satisfied with the quality. I’ve seen the work of different companies and Web Crayons is up there in terms of absolute sincerity and willingness to do the best work possible.

Our projects are complex and there will be some execution misunderstandings, but Web Crayons has been able to correct them fast. The concerns have been few and far between.

How did Web Crayons Biz perform from a project management standpoint?

They manage projects well, performing a detailed work breakdown structure in the beginning. Web Crayons sticks schedules and continually reminds us of our obligations to them in terms of deliverables. We’re kept informed and Web Crayons responds quickly to any queries we might have about the project status. Schedule adherence is good and communication lines are open. It’s a relationship which implies holding hands and walking together, which is great.

What did you find most impressive about Web Crayons Biz?

The intimacy that they have with their customers is impressive. Web Crayons gives us their full, undivided attention, making us feel like we’re the most important customer to them. They also have a hunger to grow and become bigger as an organization and displace other competitors. Web Crayons wants to retain their customers and develop relationships. That hunger to succeed goes a long way for how a company ultimately performs. If they are not that hungry, and not willing to take an extra step, it will show in the execution.

Are there any areas Web Crayons Biz could improve?

They should just keep ensuring that a consistent standard is maintained across the entire workforce in the company. This hasn’t been an issue, but it can become one as Web Crayons grows. There is a high level of performance and customer expectation, so the organization is expected to maintain this as it grows.

We and our customer are very happy with the outcome. The site works and looks great on mobile, and the ads are exactly placed how we wanted.
