BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm Mervin Jacob, I work as a Business Analyst for METRA-FZ LLC, We are a company based in U.A.E, expanded our roots from South Africa (Johannesburg) under the parent company MEPPAR TRADING, Where we deal with Commodity Trading such as Chemicals,Metal and Mineral/Ores, Valves and Steel Fitting and very recently ventured into Agricultural Commodities. My role as a Business Analyst was to bridge the Gap Between Manufacturers and End Users.

Having a Background in Engineering, the shift to a Business Analyst was challenging However it helped me push certain boundaries where I wasn't comfortable in handling and has helped in rounding me up to be a better version of myself.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Vortic Designs, and what were your goals?

We had hired Vortic Designs after several back and forths, as we understood that they are a team of Young Guns, Enriched with Crisp Ideas alligned to our ideas in terms of Marketing METRA around the globe. Starting out Marketing METRA it has helped us with bringing us leads around the Middle-East. Promoting our Commodity that we supply in the trading markets and give us a good direction on how to target our Audience.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We had come across their profile on LinkedIn and compared what they had to offer in terms of Pricing and service compared to few other major leagues.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

The scope of work was to reach audience in the Commodity Business, to enrich our Trade profit during COVID-19 by Social Media Marketing, as these were uncertain times, We wanted to push our our sales without having any boundaries, so to start if by promoting the products that we offer to the market, giving out an introduction on METRA, explaining oir roots and most importantly building a level of Trust. The idea was to construct a segment of series on What/Where/Who METRA is and how we expect to deliver and take action on sales.

For this Vortic had assigned a design lead for us who was updating us on regular basis on the Social Media Marketing side which we were focusing on and how to get better results on LinkedIn. Regularly sending us out Revision, Updated Draft , Catalogue and Brochure drafts, Conducting Zoom meetings in on weekly basis , giving us the pro/cons on certain ideas that were shared, By analysing end results in terms of reach from one post to the next, Design qnd Editing,Branding and giving out deliverables in the stipulated time and helping to drawn organic impressions.

I was in contact with their PR head who later introduced us to their Team of Design and Marketing Coordinators.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are able to partake in vendor relations with many of the Manufacturers in the Middle East which wasn't an easy task when started.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Regular meeting and a background run on the task assigned on each project, They were able to execute and deliver ahead of the deadlines which we think was very impressive as our internal team was designated in South Africa, they made sure to keep in context their actions they are about to carry out to both ends of METRA's management team between Dubai and South Africa.

Above all they presented a sense of Empathy and Feel towards each task that we assigned to them, Since the world spins on promoting their business with regular and seen before templates, But we wanted a team who had emotions towards ideas which helped not only bringing a light but moreover a shape on how we wanted to promote our Brand and Business.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a team of youngsters with updated ideas and an understanding of the global market. It wasn't a corporate sort of a feeling, but a very friendly atmosphere that wws build up in communication.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

METRA's core team was happy with the B2B performance that was provided by Vortic. We honestly do not have any drawbacks to point out working with Vortic Designs.
