Before you consider working with Vega IT, you should know they filed a criminal complaint against me, including threats of one to eight years of incarceration, simply because I said I would write a review about their conduct. Yes, I know - it's mind - blowing

I approached Vega IT regarding my app project. They redirected me to their “trusted partner,” who acceped private cash payments outside formal invoicing, and turned out to be completely unqualified. The result was catastrophic: the app was delivered not only 4 months after the last agreed deadline but in a non-functional, unstable, and unusable state.

When I asked Vega IT to step in and correct their partner’s mistakes, they completely distanced themselves and refused to help in any way.

Their subsequent reaction was even more shocking:

When I informed them that I would write a public review about how they handled this case, I received three separate letters from their lawyers, accusing me of extortion and blackmail, and threatening me with criminal prosecution and 1–8 years of imprisonment — all this simply because I told them I would publicly describe my experience.

Informing a company that their actions will result in a negative review is not only entirely legitimate, but a fundamental consumer right and a basic mechanism of accountability in every industry. But according to Vega IT’s logic, it is a criminal act followed by a prison sentence of up to 8 years.

Just before I published this review, Vega IT’s lawyer actually sent me a criminal complaint, accusing me of “extortion” and “blackmail,” and threatening me with 1–8 years of imprisonment — again, for nothing more than stating that I would publicly describe what happened, as I am doing right here.

Also, for the purpose of this completely fabricated and unsubstantiated criminal complaint, they illegally obtained my private home address and phone number without my knowledge or consent.

Soon after I posted a factual Google review ( ), their immediate reaction was the actual filing of the criminal complaint.

A company that reacts to honest feedback with lawyers, criminal charges, and threats of incarceration tells you everything you need to know about how they operate.

What kind of company responds to a legitimate review this way?

And why would any company willingly burn its own reputation over something so trivial to resolve?

Instead of simply allocating a few of their skilled engineers for a dah or two, to fix their partner’s damage, which would have cost them almost nothing and allowed everyone to move on, Vega IT chose a completely different path: lawyer intimidation, criminal accusations, and threats of imprisonment.

To be clear: no threat, no intimidation tactic, and no criminal complaint will ever stop me from revealing how Vega IT treats clients when things go wrong. Honest companies don’t fear the truth — only guilty ones do.

Threatening clients with prison because they may post a negative review is not just unprofessional — it is mind-blowing and highly alarming.

Even their lawyer’s messages contradicted themselves. In the same letter, they claimed:

“Vega IT has no connection with this project,”

and then immediately stated that the project was “properly built.”

A company that claims to have nothing to do with the project cannot simultaneously judge its quality. This alone destroys their credibility.

They also stated that if they got involved in the project at this point, it would constitute a "direct loss" for them — which means they knew in what poor shape the project was. And if the project was "properly built," as they had claimed earlier, why would their involvement constitute a total loss?

A company which:

– recommends a partner who accepts private cash payments outside formal invoicing,

– distances itself when that partner fails,

– tries to silence clients through intimidation and threats via lawyers for mentioning a negative review,

– publicly labels clients as criminals,

is not a company that takes responsibility, but one that covers its unprofessional conduct by intimidating and silencing clients with threats.

If Vega IT believes this behavior reflects professionalism or ethics, then their standards are completely different from what any reasonable client expects.

They couldn't deny any of the facts, so instead of acting responsibly, Vega IT escalated the case publicly.

Their response to my Google review (https://share.google/w8iTPBJRsmvtkKTX5) includes:

– accusing me of threats and extortion,

– repeating their threats of criminal prosecution (which they actually carried out),

– references to imprisonment (1–8 years),

– claiming they “reported me to the authorities” (which they actually did).

Threatening clients with prison because they may post a negative review is not just unprofessional — it is mind-blowing and highly alarming.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I selected Vega IT solely because of their high ratings and reputation on Clutch. Ironically, those same ratings are the reason I trusted them — and the reason this disaster happened. What was advertised as a reliable, top-tier company turned into the most unprofessional experience I’ve ever had with any vendor.

Their public image simply does not match the reality of how they treat clients once things go wrong.

The project was done by their partner company and obviously without any real management. The delivery was 4 months late, the app arrived unstable and unusable, and every time I raised an issue, the response was avoidance, excuses, or complete silence. Once problems appeared, they stopped engaging altogether and showed zero interest in resolving anything. Instead of addressing the damage caused by their recommended partner, they escalated to lawyers and threats.

At no point did I feel that my needs or concerns were being managed, only deflected.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There was nothing impressive about this company whatsoever. The only thing that really stood out was how uniquely fast they escalated from poor delivery to legal threats. I’ve never seen anything like it, and no client should.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Vega IT could have done differently?

They could have done everything differently.

They could have vetted their “trusted partner,” supervised the work, ensured basic quality, taken responsibility when things went wrong, responded professionally, and resolved issues instead of hiding behind lawyers and criminal accusations.

In short — every step they took was the opposite of what a responsible IT company should do.

The level of seniority from the developers makes a huge impact depending on the project. Vega always does their best to find a good fit, but it could take a few interactions and interviews to find the best talent.

Refactoring of the API system and the related flows and automations to ensure the smooth electronic onboarding and enrolment of teachers into various teaching programmes, including the integration into their digital learnong platforms.

The key deliverables included but not limited to the refactoring of legacy integration, technical documentation of as is and to be solutions, compliance with contractural obligations, creating efficiencies and improving end users enrolment experience and working colloboratively with the product and programme data teams with a key emphasis on improving the quality of data held.

• Met deadline for compliance for Version 3 of the API
• Improved Data quality for programmes up to high 90's
• Delivered new features that improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the onboarding programme enrolment.

Vega were not scoped with project management of this project that was handled by an internal Teach First project team. 

Vega are an integral part of the TF Digital Engineering team and we would not have been able to  successfully deliver this project without them.

They were always willing to provide insight and suggest improvements to the system and the calibre of the work that they have and continue to deliver for Teach First is always of a very high quality

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Vega ability to retain and provide high quality development resources is impressive and what we find unique about them is that every developer we have utilised across time at Teach First quality of output and their active involvement in teams sets them apart from any other offshore resource company that I  have used.

Retrospectively there is always part of a project or a deliverable that we could improve upon but it is a Digital Engineering team that delivers solutions. 

Teach First have been in a partnership with Vega for a decade now and historically that has been based on development resource. Going into the next decade we hope to expand that into other areas of key areas of the digital landscape

The Vega team joined our 12 scrum teams and delivered and are still delivering value toward these goals.

The quality of the Vega IT engineers and the flexible way of working Vega IT  has adopted are impressive. No long term contracts, but a relationship based on trust.

Due to our long relationship at times Vega engineers left Vega and had to be replaced. This cause some stress from time to time, but this is to be expected.

The Vega IT team developed a brand new community platform for us which was focused on engaging and encourage philanthropists to come together to learn, connect and give more, better and faster. They were true partners in this project, putting a large, dedicated team on the project who managed all aspects of the build, from project management to backend/frontend development to AWS / API expertise. 

They were committed to meeting our needs and also spoke clearly about alternative routes when they had suggestions. They also were very mindful of our budget and found solutions to staying within it. 

Key deliverables included: 

• Creation of a new white-labeled platform for gated communities 
• Development of a sophisticated onboarding experience driven by machine learning 
• Features included posting messages and polls, creation of groups, Spanish language capabilities, multi-layer privacy settings, dynamic profiles, and a learning center, amongst other enhancements.

I'm the Lead Developer at Verano, one of the biggest sun protection producers in western-europe. We currenly have production facilities spread over 4 countries, and we are active in 15 countries! I manage most of the software projects that we develop within Verano.

Our previous partner portal was outdated, and build poorly years ago. It was time for a new and refreshing website for our partners. First, we did the development in-house, but because of unsufficient developers we had to out-source parts of the project to Vega IT. They were able to provide the manpower we needed to expand our platform swiftly, keeping performance and scalability in mind.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose for Vega IT because of their professional look and affordable pricing. We heard about Vega through a colleague who knows the local business.

We have several meetings a week to discuss the work done and work ahead of us. We go through their work, and check what has to be changed. Vega IT worked on several features, e.g. User Management, Service Management and Pricelist module. All of this is done in PHP Laravel together with LiveWire.

I am working with two developers from Vega IT:

• One back-end dev
• one front-end developer

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The features they have developed over time are professional and clean. Users like what they have delivered, and are pleased with the proper workings of everything. Users are getting more and more active over time.

We communicate mainly over Slack. We do use GitLab for VCS and issue management, and use Clockify to track all time spend on tickets.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their unique way of doing business with customers all over the world is impressive. Also, their office is pretty cool.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The first time we had developers from Vega, the projects failed. This was due to project management (from both sides). Now we have better communication with Vega as well as the developers, and are the projects running well.
