Please describe your organization.

Our company is Compunnel Software Group Inc. We are an IT [Information Technology] software development consulting company.

What is your role and responsibilities?

I'm the president and chief financial officer.

What was your goal for working with Two55am Studiio?

We wanted to partner with a company that could deliver mobile applications with the best UI [user interface] experience. That's why we partnered with Two55am.

Please describe the scope of their work.

Two55am were involved from the initial study of understanding our business application requirements to the documentation, the mock up, the concept design, and the look of the application. After that, they came up with a prototype where we could see the screens and the user interface they developed for us. We started developing the application after that.

What was your process for selecting Two55am Studiio with which to work?

We did some research and found them online. We chose them based on three key things. First, they have a lot of experience with UI/UX [user experience] development. Second, Two55am are a good development team. They have a thorough understanding of QA [quality assurance] and of the business knowledge that is necessary to build our app. Third, their pricing was reasonable. It was a little bit more than other companies that we were considering, but their experience was enough for us to choose them as our business partners.

Can you give a sense of the size of the initiative in dollar terms or a personnel work-hour figure?

The size of the project was around $19,000.

When was the work completed?

Our partnership is ongoing. They have completed the first phase of the project. We will go on to the second phase with them as well.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?

Since we have launched to our internal community, we have gotten great response on that. Overall, it is good. This is the first version, so there are little minor changes to make.

Is there anything unique or special about Two55am Studiio that really makes them stand out compared to other business partners?

The main thing was adaptability. Every time that we needed to make a change in the app, they were just a quick phone call away. They dealt with everything that we needed them to do.

What advice would you give to future clients of theirs?

We have had a good experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

It would be the timeline. They said if they would go faster, the quality would suffer. In our line of work, we want to wrap projects as soon as possible.

We are mobile app developers. We focus on apps in the social space, mostly around the idea that people crave anonymity. So, we provide apps that allow users to communicate with each other anonymously.

What was your goal for working with Two55am Studiio?

We partnered with Two55am Studiio to develop a minimum viable product of an app that we wanted to create. The app gives users the ability to send anonymous text messages to each other.

Please describe the scope of their work.

Two55am Studiio was mainly involved in developing the functionality of our app. We took care of the rest of the project. They did a native iOS app that gave users the ability to log in a message, have the app access their contacts, and then select someone to send the message to. The message is then routed through Twilio, anonymized, and sent to the recipient. The recipient then receives the message from the anonymized Twilio number. They don’t have the ability to reply or interact with the message in any way. Two55am was in charge in developing all of these features for us.

We did some research on outsourcing mobile app developers and found them through a site that featured them.

The size of the project was under $10,000.

When was the work completed?

It’s been completed for a number of months now [as of Spring 2015].

Do you have any statistics or metrics to track improvement from the project?

Unfortunately, I don’t have any metrics to share. We weren’t able to release through the iOS App Store. There are other apps out there that have similar functionalities to ours, so we thought that getting the app approved by the App Store wouldn’t be an issue.

Is there anything unique or special about Two55am Studiio that really makes them stand out compared to other business partners?

The main thing was that communication with Two55am Studiio was phenomenal. I felt like we were working with someone in North America. It was great.

Looking back on the work so far, is there any area that you think they could improve upon or that you might do differently?

Not being able to release the app in the iOS store was a pretty big disappointment, but we learned a lot from the process. It helped us on other projects that we pitched to Two55am Studiio afterwards.
