In addition to video production for my own business, I have referred several large corporations to Two Giraffes to complete the video production section of my marketing strategies and script-writing services. The key deliverables were successful, high-quality B2B videos that achieved the goals of several creative marketing campaigns. Generally speaking, the measurable outcomes were to deliver creatively executed video campaigns based on my marketing strategy and scripts for my clients. Video production is a VERY complex task with many moving parts and the outcomes where to remain on-time and on-budget to execute the video - all of which they achieved.

Two Giraffes have a large team, and ALL of them are so collaborative to work with. They are clear and transparent, they take on feedback and are very thorough in the way they work. Response time was always the same day and they were never confused or overwhelmed. I felt like I was in good hands.

Their creativity. They don't just put videos together - anyone can do this. What Two Giraffes did was add another dimension of creativity that really brought the scripts and campaigns to life. From animation to live action videos, their team really stands out as a leader in video creativity. It was such a great experience.

I've really tried to think of something... but there's really nothing. They have never let me down and I've been working with them for years.

The aim of this project is to develop 6 short animated educational videos in English which will then be translated into 5 other languages: Khmer, Lao, Macedonian, Spanish, and Vietnamese. The Educational Support at Home Project aims to provide information to CALD communities on the Aged Care System so that they are well informed on how to access aged care services, and the entire process involved from assessment to negotiating aged care with a service provider. 

These short, animated videos will be sequential and covering 6 topics that are key to the Aged Care System. The videos will have simple animation storylines, accessible to people from different cultures and educational levels, voiced over in simple language.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We've had great results with all the videos we've done across several of our clients — Arielle and her team have done some great work for different things. They publish the videos on every platform, including YouTube, social media, and websites.

We've had some driven as part of marketing campaigns and had great results. Others are explainer videos to help walk through a particular product offering or process, which are excellent.

How did Two Giraffes perform from a project management standpoint?

They've been perfect with project management; their team is very responsive, easy to work with, and easygoing. Also, they always work within the budget we give them.

Regarding communication, we have face-to-face and online meetings. We also use emails, phone calls, and texting — we have a tight relationship between our teams. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to think big is impressive; Two Giraffes' team can take a concept and create something exciting and vibrant for our customers. Overall, their ability to work on a great idea and turn it into something that excites our clients is the best part of working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open and upfront; you must tell them what you need and be prepared to be challenged. Also, think differently about your ideas and be open to suggestions to help you achieve what you're trying to do.

In addition, if you give them feedback, they'll always take it on board.

Overall, if you hold your end of the bargain, provide strong briefs, and are prepared to work with them to find the right outcome, you'll always get a great end product.

For what projects/services did your company hire Two Giraffes, and what were your goals?

We are a digital agency that focuses on paid media. Success for us is ROI based on our strategy. However, creative content is key to a successful campaign. We found that Two Giraffes utlised marketing strategy alongside creative ideation to produce the absolute best video content for the client.

Therefore, we partnered with Two Giraffes to service our client, a product e-commerce brand for video content strategy, creative ideation and production of live-action and animation videos as well as product and lifestyle photography for social media ads, youtube ads & website. Essentially a full video & photography overhaul.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The agencies we align ourselves with must have the same passion, dedication and client-focused commitment as we do; we saw all of those factors in Two Giraffes. However, they really blew the client and us away when we received the creative, strategic proposal. There was so much detail; it was really well thought out and was right on brand. They created a plan that our client would get so much content at a high-end quality in a package rate, giving our agency so much to work with. That is when I knew we had found the right partner.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

The scope of work was a full refresh of the brands product photography, lifestyle product photography, product digital ads and creative product ads as well as how to use the product explainer videos. Two Giraffes commenced with a really detailed timeline that took us through exactly what to expect throughout the process. We then collaborated and signed off all the creative.

Once this was approved, the Two Giraffes team handled all the casting and got the exact type of talent we were looking for that fit the brand. They also handled props, wardrobe, hair and make-up. We filmed all our creative ads in the studio, and both set days were so much fun. I think the reason for that is they had it all so well planned and organised before the day. They were so great with our client and with directing the models and actors. The product really shined in the photography as well.

After the shoot, we had a really detailed timeline of editing, colour grading, sound mixing and exporting. The creative video ads, explainer videos and photography turned out amazing. I am so excited to be able to launch all paid media for the e-commerce business with this content. They delivered over 30x edited images, 20x 6s ads, 3x 15s ads and 2x 30s Explainer videos.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The client is so incredibly happy with this major upgrade in content. The e-commerce brand now has images and videos that fit the brand's style and tone of voice. They also will engage the potential customers more and lead to better sales. We know now that we have this creative, our paid digital media campaign will be much more of a success.

They are so communicative, very passionate. They are really structured but in a way that makes you feel safe that you know your deadline will be hit. They were so great at educating the client across all the services they were providing and always requested sign-off before moving to the next step. It was an absolute pleasure working with this team. I have never worked with a video agency with such a client/brand first mentality and put 110% passion into all content, creative to explainer. They are up-to-date with their tools, using project management software for live timeline updates. We could always rely on them to have all milestones on time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Finding an agency with such amazing creative skill, with a whole team that is so passionate, friendly and can-do attitude about working until its perfect. Also, the fact that we got so much content due to a really well-thought-out content strategy was amazing and meant we had so much great video and photography to work with for upcoming campaigns. I definitely will be referring all my clients to them from here on out.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The client lived in another country, so in hindsight, we should have expected him to need more time to get back with revisions. Therefore, expanding the timeline to allow 5 business days instead of 2 for client feedback.

We met them through a networking event, and I keep choosing them for our projects because they never let my customers or me down, so I can trust them — I’ve never had a problem with them in more than five years of partnership. I've only heard phenomenal praise for their work, especially with their budget investment. Also, the ROI on their work goes from 20% to 50% on average. Even big and traditional Australian companies increase their investment with Two Giraffes because they keep earning a lot of money through their work.

How did Two Giraffes perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is one of their best attributes; they're great at meeting deadlines, and I've never heard issues from their end in this regard. They take timeframes very seriously and are strict with this because it's important in this industry.

Regarding tools, we use Slack and Monday.com — they embrace technology tools and know what they're doing, thanks to their professionalism and thoroughness in delivering the best results.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I love how they personalize their services because it's something we do with our company, so it's nice to see someone else take this seriously.

In addition, they treat their clients with respect; they respect everyone's opinion and come up with great ideas that they build upon collectively.

Also, they have a vision for the future, enabling them to be innovative in the media side, which I admire.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their website doesn't reflect exactly what they do — they're much better than what their website says. They could market themselves to showcase their true potential.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Bring your own opinions, but trust their expertise. They have an excellent creative team, so be open to their suggestions that can improve the deliverables you're looking for.

Showcase our properties and the key lifestyle benefits for students of staying in them. Due to the pandemic people couldn't visit in person and tour the property before deciding whether to move in.

SOLUTION

Two Giraffes put together a proposal for an exciting hype reel for each of our core properties to add to our website in place of a tour. We reached out to a number of different providers and Two Giraffes had the best ideas, great service, competitive pricing and really helped us navigate determining how best to showcase our properties and produce the videos.

We started with discovery meetings, came up with an overall goal and plan, Two Giraffes wrote scripts and storyboards, production scheduled, helped us find talent, scout locations and stage our properties, organised the shoots/produced on the day, filmed, edited and uploaded - full service!

Arielle, she was amazing and really took all of our feedback on board. Each video got better and better and we learned a lot about what we really wanted out of them and how to work efficiently on the client side to get a good result too.

I wish we had more budget as they came up with some really awesome concepts that we really wanted to use!
