BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the CTO of a two-sided marketplace for Oil and Gas construction.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire TheoremOne, and what were your goals?

We engaged with Brady and his team to build the strategy and eventually the MVP for our platform. They have been amazing to work with and have brought great insight in to the user perspective. Their design is on par with anyone I have ever used and their delivery and testing is top notch.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had a bake-off between three vendors and selected Theorem based on the amazing design and output of requirements they held us generate.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We broke up the project in to three phases:

• Phase 1, diligence, review and scoping;
• Phase 2 - Initial backlog generation and prioritization
• Phase 3 - MVP and initial release

We are a design driven organization taking a user first approach. two week sprints and constant communication and review throughout he engagement;' They provided a full delivery team with front and back end engineers as well as devops and QA/Automation testing.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had as many as 12 people engaged at any given time with the core delivery team consisting of six resources - two full-stack, two front-end and one dedicated back-end engineer. We had a part time DevOps resource managing our builds and deploys when needed but everything was automated based on our requirements.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We delivered the first two phases on time and budget and continue to work towards our scheduled delivery dates for the pilot and general release.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We were assigned a dedicated project owner who provided reports on how well the team was doing as well as reviews of the retrospectives to keep us in the loop on how the team felt they were progressing. They are truly a part of our delivery process and we continue to strengthen our relationship as time progresses.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their thought-leadership in design and their ability to quickly pick up on what we were looking for from the platform. They have added value every step of the way and we hope to continue our relationship as the platform and userbase grows.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There are always challenges in building something new and without a pre-existing model. While this was also true in our project, we found that Theorem's leadership and communication allowed us to overcome these challenges quickly and with little impact to the overall timelines.
