We had a maybe 12 page site for a client. We had content ready to go, and an example design to work from. We created a staging area for themelocation to use and they built the site according to our parameters. we then issues feedback using markup and they responded accordingly. we asked for help with some plugings and setting up specific functionality, which they also did.

The website was built with the quality that i expect. requests were answered in a timely manner. there were a few miscommunications when it came to complex functionality, but they were resolved, and the end product is great.

Communication was primarily via email, which I prefer. Responses were always quick.

They proved capable of handling anything related to WordPress.

There was some confusion on their end on how to use a google API key, but it was resolved with some manual assistance on my end. Really the improvement would be for some more technical expertise on the project management level.

They meet all the deadlines with every task and deliver what is required. In terms of tools and communication, we use email, Dropbox, and Google Docs.

I bought one of their plug-ins for a job I was doing, and I asked a question to the developer about it. We got into a conversation over email, and he said he did development. I asked him to give me a quote for a job I had, and we went from there.

How much have you invested with them?

The biggest project they’ve done for us was just under $2,000.

We’ve used themelocation for a couple of years. We started working with them in April 2019, and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t have any figures or materials to measure that, since it all comes down to a big, cooperative work with the end client. However, the quality of their work is good, and they always deliver the custom development we ask for.

How did themelocation perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Skype and emails to communicate and work together. The projects are usually delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

themelocation’s developers have a lot of knowledge of WordPress, and they’re good to work with. They do their best to accomplish what we’ve asked them and give us a good product — they get things right. I’ve worked with offshore developers, and themelocations is the best. Their prices are more competitive than a UK developer, and their skills are quite good. We find that we can trust them with our work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes they should adjust timelines to make sure that they deliver the job on time. Also, as we’re working with offshore developers, sometimes things get lost in translation, and we have to explain in more detail what we’re asking them to do.

Any advice for potential customers?

Speak to Waqas and explain your project to him, and he will get back to you. We work together on a few projects, and we sort of bounce ideas off each other — he's quite good.
