I’m the manager of an e-commerce platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with IT Master Soft?

We had problems with our original website. To get more customers, we decided that we needed a brand new, mobile-friendly platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team redesigned our website, adding a few XML files. They also reworked the menu.

What is the team composition?

We work with a manager and two IT people.

How did you come to work with IT Master Soft?

A friend who had used them recommended them.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with IT Master Soft started in December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They delivered good work.

How did IT Master Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management approach was good. I’d prefer face-to-face meetings because it’s easier to explain and understand that way. Since we’re in different countries, that’s hard to do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I like their attitude. Along with having an affordable price, their team works fast.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Put people in charge of the project that are 100% invested.

I’m the director of a tech startup and consultancy, handling product and business development.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with IT Master Soft?

I needed to implement a prototype to demonstrate to investors and clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I wanted a working prototype app that could function on a mobile device. It was intended to demonstrate the app’s direction and act as a proof of concept. The final product is a location-based marketing app that shows users the latest deals and products within any brick and mortar shop they’re located within. It also allows users to interact with the shop owner. I wanted to explore how an IoT solution could benefit this space. 

I started with designs, screens, and a concept, but really needed a working prototype. From there, they started from scratch. They handled the execution of the app that works with beacons to trigger location-based notifications. The final solution was for iOS and Android. We also agreed to develop the app in React Native.  

What is the team composition?

The assignments varied over time. There were two developers, one on the front-end and one on the backend. 

How did you come to work with IT Master Soft?

I was looking to a Bulgarian industry and bumped into them during that search. After talking with them and visiting their office a few times, I trusted them. We decided to work together. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about £12,000 (approximately $15,762 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in July 2018, and it was completed within that month. We’re still adding more features and functionalities as needed, so the project is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The achieved our milestones on time and kept to the agreed budget. When the budget started creeping up to our upper limit, they were responsive in curbing the services a little bit. There was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning of the development, but they figured out our vision relatively quickly and provided us with what we needed. 

How did IT Master Soft perform from a project management standpoint?

We had regular weekly standups across the months we were working most closely. Even now, we catch up on Fridays via Skype. While I can reach the whole team if needed, I always had a project manager assigned to the project. I thought it was useful to have one. We used Trello to manage the project.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re self-starters and don’t require me to explain every step of the development. Generally, they solve issues on their own. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

When a new developer comes in, there are some challenges with onboarding. So, they could probably work a little bit on passing knowledge to newer teammates. I can’t be super critical, though. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Agree to the level of engagement and budget beforehand. We didn’t have a clear scope. Set up Trello as soon as possible to monitor the project in real-time.
