BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

inTakt is a first-of-it's-kind construction planning software that solely embraces a lean takt-planning approach. I am the CEO and we are still in the early startup phases, but have already landed some major construction companies as repeat clients.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Tailorsoft S.A.S., and what were your goals?

We hired Tailorsoft to both design and build out our vision from scratch. We had rough sketches of the functionality and had Tailorsoft take if from there.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found Tailorsoft through word of mouth. I talked with others who had worked with them and I took a detailed look at their portfolio, to find similar projects. The things that sold me were their quality, price, communication, and near-shore time zone.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

This project was developed in Google Firebase. It started with detailed design work and put out progressive releases, starting with an MVP which we were able to test, provide feedback on, and continually add more features to, to attract more sales.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Tailorsoft has six people on this project. We are in contact with the owner and general manager, and have weekly calls with three developers and a designer. There is also a QA/QC person who we do not work directly with.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

For us, it is now just coming down to getting the word out through marketing. When we bring potential customers in for demos, 80% of them end up purchasing our product and sticking with it! Though, these customers have specific needs that they are looking for ahead of the demo. Our users absolutely love the software's design, which functions smoothly.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We do weekly meetings via Teams and talk with the team of developers and designer directly. We are able to discuss priorities and timelines in a transparent and collaborative way and the meetings are always positive. We understand each other's challenges and priorities well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They all speak English well and are within my time zone, but at South-American rates. They are not lacking any talent and the senior developer sometimes works through the weekend to meet deadlines, when necessary.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are open enough to discuss any challenges directly with the team and have no complaints at this time.
