I’m the owner of Kapaas Kolkata, a women’s apparel and accessory brand.

What challenge were you trying to address with Symmetrix Systems?

I needed someone to develop my website and do my social media marketing. Most of my buyers are older Indian women who are not as adaptive to technology as other customers, so the site needed to be user-friendly and straightforward.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Symmetrix Systems developed a WordPress website with a WooCommerce payment gateway. Apart from the photographs of my products, which they helped me upload and manage, everything on my website was done by them. They put the entire website together and made sure it was compliant. The team also taught me how to manage the site’s backend. They do annual implementations for the website.

Symmetrix Systems also did social media marketing and helped manage my paid ads and Instagram and Facebook pages. They posted almost every day.

What is the team composition?

I worked with a dedicated coder and a graphic designer. I coordinated with the owner directly.

How did you come to work with Symmetrix Systems?

My friend recommended them. I got a couple of quotes from other vendors, but Symmetrix Systems had a decent number of projects in their portfolio that were similar to what I wanted, so I decided to hire them. I got in touch with them in 2015, but I put the website on hold for a while and then got in touch with them when I was ready.

How much have you invested with them?

My company spent $2,000–$2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from August 2017–January 2018.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m happy with the work they did. Symmetrix Systems was spot on in developing a simple, product-focused website with an easy checkout process. I haven’t gotten any negative feedback.

I launched the site a year-and-a-half ago, and the numbers have been very encouraging. I have 14,000 followers, which is a mix of paid and organic. I’ve been able to make sales directly on my website, through Instagram and Facebook, and in my shop. I will definitely hire Symmetrix Systems again if I have any other website needs.

How did Symmetrix Systems perform from a project management standpoint?

They met all the deadlines. If I have any issues, I can call them. When my site has gone down because of server issues, I’ve contacted them after business hours, and they’ve helped me out.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They functioned as a very well-coordinated unit. I didn’t have to coordinate with multiple people at the same time; I just communicated with one of them. Their internal teamwork was really efficient.

They’re also very receptive to feedback; if I want something changed, I let them know, and they get back to me with options in just a couple of days. They’re very fast at what they do.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they were perfect for me. I was extremely satisfied with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I refer a lot of people to them because I had such a good experience.
