I’m an IT manager at a technology and online services sales company.

What challenges were you trying to address with SupraBT?

We hired SupraBT to provide IT consulting services and software and server development support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SupraBT has helped us with various technological projects, including helping us establish our data center. Furthermore, they’ve helped us develop a web platform using Java. That has also enabled us to move our services from SQL to Oracle.

On top of that, they’ve assisted us in securing an Oracle license and improved our platform by providing us with a server virtualization system. The team continues to provide annual consulting and support to us.

What was the team composition?

SupraBT’s team composition changes depending on the project we give them. For database projects, we’re working with 2–3 people. For visualization projects, we’re working with 1–2 people.

How did you come to work with SupraBT ? 

When we were looking to migrate to Oracle, we reached out to a company and they referred SupraBT to us as they were their partners. Oracle’s representatives in Venezuela also recommended them. When we reached out to SupraBT, they sold us the Oracle license. From there, we started growing our collaboration.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent $50,000–$100,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership began in April 2008.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Before working with them, we had a database manager that specialized in SQL server. When that manager was skilled enough, he left the company. After that, we constantly had an issue of training developers in Linux and Java only for them to leave in the end.

That’s why we’re very pleased to be working with SupraBT because we don’t have to deal with people coming and leaving. We simply ask them for their services, and they provide it to us. That has perfectly worked for us because they’re always available and ready to solve our requests.

How did SupraBT perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a support system via a helpdesk system where we create tickets and SupraBT solves the issue in the following hours. If we also have other issues we can't solve right away, we can communicate directly with their general manager. Their general manager ensures we get a response immediately.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have a lot of references working with similar companies, but we did have some pretty bad experiences working with freelancers and developers in the past and that hasn’t happened with SupraBT.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I've seen SupraBT evolve as a company, and their attention and services have improved a lot during our engagement. On top of that, their resources are very skilled. As a result, we feel very confident and calm that we're working with them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I frequently refer SupraBT to companies and colleagues looking for a team who are experts when it comes to server visualization because not a lot of companies can do that.
