I’m the Executive of MTT Tracker, an IT company that helps professional poker players improve their skills and results.

What specific goals or objectives did you hire SunDr to accomplish for your poker improvement platform?

I needed a full-stack poker analytics SaaS built from scratch — architecture, development, and deployment. The core objectives were hand history import from PokerStars and GGPoker with currency normalization, a Monte Carlo variance simulator for bankroll planning, subscription billing via Paddle, and PWA support for offline use at the table. I was looking for one senior engineer who could own the entire product end-to-end — database design, API, frontend, infrastructure — and ship it to production with real users.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SunDr handled everything — full-stack development from zero to a live product. The main deliverables were a Next.js application with 19 database models and 43 API endpoints, hand history parsers for PokerStars and GGPoker, a Monte Carlo variance simulator with 10,000+ iterations, an achievement system with 30 unlockable badges, Paddle billing integration with three subscription tiers, Google and Facebook OAuth, PWA with offline support, and localization for six languages with 25+ currencies. One engineer had complete product ownership.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform went from idea to live production with active users. The key outcomes were 67,000+ lines of TypeScript shipped, 43 API endpoints running stably, a hand history parser handling ~15 different timestamp and timezone formats without errors, a Monte Carlo simulator processing 10,000+ iterations in-browser, and subscription billing working end-to-end with automated VAT handling. The product supports six languages and 25+ currencies out of the box. All of this was delivered by a single engineer — no team overhead, no coordination delays.We tracked signups, active sessions, and feature usage — particularly how often users imported hand histories and ran the variance simulator. The achievement system with 30 unlockable badges gave us a natural engagement metric — we could see how deep users went into the platform. Subscription conversions across free, monthly, yearly, and lifetime tiers showed which features drove paying users. PWA installs indicated mobile adoption at the table. The product is live and growing, with real users relying on it for daily tournament tracking.

How did SunDr perform from a project management standpoint?

SunDr’s project management was straightforward and efficient. Since it’s a solo founder, there were no layers — direct communication, fast decisions, no waiting on approvals or handoffs. Progress was visible at every stage, with regular demos of working features. Deadlines were met consistently, and when the scope expanded — like adding the Monte Carlo simulator and achievement system — timelines were adjusted transparently upfront. There were no surprises or missed commitments.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The depth of ownership was impressive. One person handled everything — database architecture, complex statistical modeling, payment integration, localization, PWA setup — at a level we’d expect from a dedicated team. There was no “that’s not my job” moment. The Monte Carlo simulator alone was a serious piece of engineering, and it was delivered alongside billing, auth, and a full frontend without cutting corners. We got senior-level thinking across the entire stack, not just code execution.
