OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Stoodeo?

We hired Stoodeo to develop a website that could visually compete with our competitors and is trusted from a mineral owner perspective. We wanted our clients to feel that we were both professional and capable when visiting our site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first phase included roadmapping and development. Aaron (Founder & Principal, Stoodeo) communicated what we needed to do and helped understand why we needed to do it. Then they implemented their work.

We wanted a unique contact form with specific questions for landowners to ask. Additionally, Aaron assisted with logo editing, added GPS coordinates on the contact page, created a portfolio page to showcase our recent work, and built a few pages that had information about our company. Aaron also consulted on different keywords and approaches to grow our SEO results.

Aaron gave our team three iterations and opportunities to revise anything. After that, we wrapped the project. Stoodeo is assisting with another web app project. We’re working on a CRM system together.

I worked solely with Aaron who oversaw our entire project.

How did you come to work with Stoodeo?

Stoodeo is based in the area. I found their business online and worked with their team in the past on another project. I had a relationship there and decided to pitch my bosses to hire them again. You get what you pay for with Stoodeo.

How much have you invested in them?

We spent between $2,500–$5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Stoodeo on this project from November–December 2018. We’re working with them on another project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Landowners contact us through the website, which I can’t overstate how impressive that is considering our competitive field. While the site is new, I’ve seen organic growth with SEO in a few searches.

How did Stoodeo perform from a project management standpoint?

Aaron handled all of our needs start to finish. He communicated why we needed to do certain things. It helped us better grasp the marketing side and how to make the site work for us. Stoodeo has been perfect, delivering everything we roadmapped within the timeline.

I couldn’t have asked for anything else from the project management standpoint. Everything was enjoyable. We had a clear understanding of timing and price. Their team pushed ours to get the answers we needed and managed us exceptionally well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The user interface they created was impressive. Having done around ten websites in my business career, the pricing and Aaron's approach helps Stoodeo stand out and apart from other vendors. The user experience is fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there are no areas they need to grow in. Stoodeo did a fantastic job handling our team and project.
