We have regular meetings with Stark Edge's team. In terms of communication, we use Slack, and regarding tools, we use Jira for project and task management, which I can prioritize according to my needs.

Our client’s website was built on WordPress, but they wanted it to be revamped on Shopify, so Stark Edge built a new website from scratch. They were in charge of the front- and backend development, as well as the UI/UX design.

We also needed a mobile app for this platform, which Stark Edge developed for iOS and Android. They integrated the Shopify backend with Flutter to connect with the mobile apps.

On this multi-vendor website, people register and post products. Shop owners also can use the app and register themselves, but they have to pay a monthly fee. There’s a basic package, a premium package, and a gold package for this service, and they get various features depending on the package they choose.

Users and vendors can also leave reviews. Additionally, there are other features like live chat, group discussion, and drop shipping for the multi-vendors.

Stark Edge delivered top-notch quality work, and our client was happy with the result. After they finished, we did the testing and found some small issues. Once we let them know about those issues, they addressed them. The product is now bug-free and functions well.

Stark Edge delivered the project ahead of time and stayed on budget. We used Trello to manage the project, and we had discussions over WhatsApp because that was the communication channel that the end client used.

Stark Edge’s dedication and adherence to the timeline were impressive. If the client found an issue, they started rectifying it right away, even on Sundays. Additionally, their proactiveness and skillset were phenomenal.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stark Edge built the website from scratch. We used Python and PHB for development. It also mixed React Java, Python, and Shopify. The site was for a real estate business. Its basic functionality was that real estate agents could register a profile, get verified by an admin, and list properties on the website.

On the other side, users can view the properties near them and use the location filter. Once the location is filled, they can go and check out the particular property. If they pay the subscription to the site, they can get in touch with the agent. Additionally, other agents can pay a subscription fee to list out multiple properties.

What is the team composition?

The team consisted of seven people. They mainly were developers, designers, testers, and the project manager, who was the main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Stark Edge?

My director was friends with one of them; he must have used their services before. First, we got in touch with Stark Edge and had several interviews. Their representatives came to our office, and we had a proper interview. Once we did the interview, we shortlisted them and did the budget. When it was finalized, Stark Edge accepted it, so we decided to work exclusively with them.

We were pretty happy with the work. The client was a bit technical, and we were working with another third-party agency, so it was like their developers had been shown as our developers, and we were all working together.

How did Stark Edge perform from a project management standpoint?

They provided a timely project. If we set a milestone, they achieved it on time. Stark Edge met all deadlines and was never late. Their team was pretty good at providing feedback, and it was great to work with them. They were responsive, proactive, active, and took everything pretty seriously. They went to our office several times, sending the developers to explain and work on modules.

We used Jira as our project management tool. For communication, we often used Skype or telephone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Stark Edge was dedicated and proactive in handling our requests. They were active whenever we sent them messages or needed some changes, and that’s the only thing that we look for to get our work done.

No, everything was good. I don’t have any improvement areas for them.

What was the scope of their involvement?

One of our clients in the medical field needed a mobile app that connects patients with nearby doctors. Since we were short-staffed then, we tasked Stark Edge with developing this iOS- and Android-friendly mobile app and another web app for the same client. Their team also integrated features that allowed patients to book online appointments, which doctors could schedule on their calendars.

Apart from booking appointments with nearby doctors, patients were also given access to a map that located them to the nearest pharmacies. Once they chose a pharmacy, they could order and pay for their medicine online, and someone from the pharmacy would deliver the patient's order at their doorstep.

In addition to developing the apps, the team also handled the UI/UX design efforts for both platforms to ensure that all functionalities were running well and ready for their testing and go-live stages.

The website builder tool allows any client to build their own site using this tool — they don’t have to hire a developer or designer to build their website. They have to go create an account, and then the user can choose a template.

We provided Stark Edge with the colors and images, and everything else was done by them. In addition, they did UI/UX design, logo design, and then they helped us with front- and backend development — I think they used Java for the development of the product.

There was a team of 10–12 members and I mostly dealt with the project manager. If there were any doubts or confusion, the designers and developers got together so could have meetings with them.

They did a really great job in developing and designing the website builder, and the quality was good. We found some bugs after doing some testing, but they fixed them in a timely manner, and I was really happy with the way that they did the work. They gave us two months of assistance as well, so if there are any bugs that appear, they will take care of them without any extra charge.

From a project management standpoint, they were very punctual and they did the work according to the timelines. We usually communicated over Skype, phone calls, and emails.

Upon choosing 40 keywords from the list, StarkEdge has handled onsite SEO.
