We hired Stack Summation for making multiple platforms from which social media platform was one of our client's requirement. Our goal is to provide a senior programmer who can guide and manage the project on his own and lead a team.

We connected through LinkedIn and personal contact was also there by which we know Stack Summation. They provide high quality standards as a service and they did.

The overall scope of work is to design and develop the platform as per client's requirement and it was a work of almost 6 months as mentioned by our client. Project steps, deliverables and technological aspects were defined by client which was strict and we followed the same with Stack Summation.

They worked as a team and not a single developer and 3-4 members were in contact with us including the management.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Outcome of the project is that we successfully complete the phase 1 part for which we needed help of Stack Summation and deliverables were received on time with the quality and commitment.

Communication were done through a chat medium in which daily scrum meetings occurred. Talking about timeliness, they were making the progress and deliver all the things in time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their commitment and work quality is a most impressive part. Overall, they were one of the best companies to work with. They have the technical knowledge and they can deliver large projects as well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I didn't find any areas because they were good from the start till the end.

I’m the director of three separate limited companies — a timber trading company and two financial services companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Stack Summation?

Because our sites are in HTML, we were having difficulties updating them. We wanted to implement administrator and database functionalities into three of our websites, but we didn’t have the in-house expertise needed when it came to database design and PHP development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Stack Summation handled three different projects for the three different companies that I am the director of. They provided database design and HTML development services across three sites.

The first project was for the timber trading company. Working on an HTML site that we already owned, they implemented a database into the site’s frontend so that administrators could log in, add news articles, change our members’ images, and update our prices. 

The second and third projects were for the two financial services sites, and they’re quite similar in terms of scope. We already had existing template HTML sites, but they weren’t really fit for their purpose. Stack Summation redeveloped the sites’ webpages and added a database functionality as well as an admin panel that enabled users to update their information and respond to inquiries.

Additionally, they handled the sites’ SEO, optimizing the header tags, descriptions, and page titles to help us rank higher in Google. Now, they’re tasked with providing maintenance services for all three sites.

I’ve primarily worked with Keyur (CEO & Co-Founder), but I’ve also worked with another person.

How did you come to work with Stack Summation?

I found them through a freelancing platform. I actually interviewed half a dozen other companies, but Stack Summation was by far the best at communicating and understanding the project, so I went with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $18,000 in total for all three sites.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re now on the first and second pages of Google for the search terms that we wanted, and we’re seeing a remarkable increase in our traffic and engagement as well.

All of the projects that Stack Summation handled started out as mere ideas only, but they were still able to make those sites work without any problems and do exactly what we needed them to do. So overall, we’re really impressed with all of the work they’ve done.

How did Stack Summation perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a shared spreadsheet that we use to track our tasks and deadlines. Stack Summation is really prompt in terms of getting work done and responding to emails. They deliver on time and within the budget, and they always respond to our messages within an hour.

Aside from that, they’re really great at planning and implementation. For instance, they have been able to spot and address problems and potential issues along the way, most of which we wouldn’t have found without their help.

We communicate through email, WhatsApp, Zoom, and Skype.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m really impressed with Stack Summation’s communication skills. They’re brilliant at communicating their ideas and processes in a simple, easily understandable manner — they’re able to relay complex information in a way that someone without any understanding of web development could understand. This has made for a very seamless experience; we tell them what we want and they go and do it without confusing us with all of the technical details.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wouldn’t say that there’s anything they could do to improve — they’ve done everything the way I asked them to do it, so I just can’t say anything bad about them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure to use them and their services with confidence. It may also be helpful to prepare a scope of work before starting your project. I found that having a document that establishes the specifications of their work is helpful in ensuring a seamless process.

We required a custom built database. The technology we opted for was Laravel PHP and with other technologies built into the stack. We also required a huge amount of back-end functionality including admin management functions. We needed the technology to be adaptable as we are a startup tech business and may need to implement new functionality of the project developed.

The project was completed exactly as per the specification document without a single problem. There were some issues with the hosting company we used, however this was our own error and Keuyur helped us overcome this very quickly.

Very consultative. No problems communicating at times that are suitable for us excellent attention to details.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed that no matter what we we asked them to do, they were capable of implementing any added functionality and our platform now functions exactly the way we had imaged from the outset.

Nothing comes to mind.

We needed help with custom mobile application development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We already had the design and wireframes of the application, but they built the solution for Android and iOS. They developed the solution on the Ionic platform. It’s a coupon app with several search features. Users can search based on location — city or zip code — or keyword. The app also delivers push notifications, and coupons are available in a list or a map view. If a user is traveling, the user can see a map of the deals around them.

I mainly worked with one person, the developer themselves.

How did you come to work with Stack Summation?

I came on after the project started. I believe one of our HR people interviewed several firms. That’s our usual process for every project.

We’ve worked together since April 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

This app was for our client, and it’s taken off. It’s done very well and developed a lot of interests. There’s a lot of user growth and activity growth. There was an existing app, an old version, but there wasn’t a large response to it.

How did Stack Summation perform from a project management standpoint?

I usually communicated via email or on Microsoft Teams. The majority of the team was very easy. I didn’t have any trouble. They’re always available for a call if needed.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very committed. There were times when, especially working with the Ionic platform (frequent updates required), when it took longer than we estimated. It wasn’t their fault, though, merely a consequence of how Ionic works with iOS apps. Other developers have told me the same thing. Stack Summation has always been committed to performing their best and completing the task on time. They would work late nights as well to finish up. I really appreciated that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know if they could have known about the updating issue with iOS beforehand.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you give a heads up and allocate enough time. Communicate as best you can so there’s less guesswork on their side.

Everything they’ve done is perfect and well managed. They delivered beyond our expectations.

It was effective. Not only did they give us realistic demo dates, but they also met all of the deadlines for the modules. Aside from providing regular updates, we could communicate with them 24/7. Sometimes, we were not able to find the right words to explain what we wanted, but they understood us despite the language barrier.
