We were taking our top 5 tasks out of zapier and creating our own company-wide website similar to zapier. This was supposed to be the first project in a long-term partnership. We have been quoted that the project will take 40 hours. We will meet in the beginning to create a timeline, check-ins, and sprint goals. With all work promised within 2-weeks

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The 40-hour project that was supposed to take 2 weeks actually took over a month and was more than 200 hours of work. The company had full access to our zapier account and all accounts needed. They didn't pay attention to detail and built the wrong features time after time and then blamed us as the client. We took it as an opportunity of learning how to work together. We received the deliverable and were pressured into accepting the project and paying even though it is not functional.

They also threatened us to not leave a negative review. We did not because we hoped this was a fluke as they work on many big successful projects. So they say. After a 50 minute discovery call that was setup by their team to understand the scope of work for a new project, which I woke up at 6am to not put them at an inconvenience.

I receive a message from their product manager: "Seriously? A 2 hour meeting for this piece of project? We are not actively working on the project YET. I have no idea why 2 hours were spent with multiple people, to understand the scope of work. There are insanely large projects where you missed work today to go on a lead which is not even mature, and we don't even know how long is the engagement for. I would be supremely disappointed if this engagement is only worth a middling budget and lasts a mere few weeks. Please get your priorities straight."

I was then told, "Just take your business elsewhere. Enjoy the free work we did for you." So now that I have paid for an incomplete project they have dismissed me. I would never trust this company unless you are doing quoted work and want to do a lot of handholding and be insulted on a constant basis.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They make you believe that they are an incredible company that can do amazing things. They have done some really cool work but for whatever reason, it takes them 200 hours to connect two api's together for 5 simple tasks in zapier.

Are there any areas for improvement or something SpyreSync could have done differently?

Respect and attention to detail were severely lacking. Maybe my point of contact Shahbaz was a portion of the problem, and the rest of the team is amazing. Sadly, I did not experience that side of the company.

We needed high fidelity wireframes to be created by an expert instead of poor quality ones created by myself!

I sent the team a requirements log and the wireframes that I created. The team understood every requirement and then mocked up the screens. Any feedback I had was then incorporated.

I worked directly with the UI/UX manager who managed a team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All screens are perfect and I can't recommend them enough. I would like to consider them for future work and if that doesn't say something about the quality of their work, I don't know what does!

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was amazing to work with and pushed for deadlines. We did not miss any deadlines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ability to listen and iterate to feedback. They understood the feedback very well, and I did not need to repeat myself twice.
